Chapter 35 – dusa Gets Jealous

Surrounded by warmth, the Empress Zombie felt as though her heart was about to start beating again.

Unknowingly, she had completely imrsed herself in the pleasure of that sensation.

However, it didn’t last long. The feeling of being enveloped in warmth vanished, and Chen Fan’s palm also withdrew.

“No…”

In that instant, a deep sense of reluctance made the Empress let out a soft cry as she pressed her hand over Chen Fan’s, unwilling to let his warmth leave.

“If this goes on, you’re going to drain dry…”

Seeing the Empress in such a delicate, feminine state, Chen Fan chuckled.

Still, he contacted the system and spent another 5,000 points to continue her restoration.

After a while, the white light faded again, and the extre cold of the mortal realm returned to the Empress Zombie’s body.

However, her rationality also returned with it.

This ti, she took the initiative to let go of Chen Fan’s hand.

Slowly opening her eyes, the first thing she saw was Chen Fan’s smiling face.

“Wu i gives her deepest thanks to Young Master for your grace!”

The Empress blinked slightly, then expressed her gratitude sincerely.

“Your body now carries two strands of vitality.”

“This is the foundation for restoring your life signs. From now on, you can slowly cultivate and accumulate vitality.”

“One day, you’ll undergo complete transformation.”

Chen Fan said with a smile. He had noticed that although Wu i, the Empress Zombie, had gained vitality, the fangs at the corner of her mouth and her sharp nails hadn’t disappeared.

She still bore the features of a zombie.

Wu i? Empress Wu of Zhou?

Too many coincidences.

But this Empress is far too young.

“Thank you, Young Master…”

Wu i thanked him once again.

“eting is your stroke of fate.”

“And mine too.”

Chen Fan shook his head.

This shopping session had netted him seven Soul-Summoning Lanterns and a zombie—yet instead of gaining points, he’d spent 15,000.

Still, this mutated zombie was no weakling.

Not sothing 15,000 points could just cultivate from scratch.

“By the way, you were an Empress—did you seize the throne by force or sothing?”

Chen Fan asked curiously.

“How could that be?”

“I was officially appointed Crown Princess and inherited the Zhou dynasty’s throne rightfully.”

Wu i replied with great seriousness.

“A female crown prince?”

Chen Fan was thoroughly surprised.

“In our Great Zhou, it’s always been the Empress who ascends the throne.”

Wu i explained.

“So it’s a matriarchal world, huh…”

Chen Fan murmured, then glanced at the treasures inside the bronze coffin.

“You don’t need these burial goods, do you?”

“They are external possessions—what need do I have for them?”

Wu i said calmly.

“Then I won’t be polite!”

Chen Fan smiled and placed his palm on the bronze coffin, collecting everything inside.

“Total of 5,000 points—at least I recovered a little.”

Chen Fan thought to himself.

“Host, each Soul-Summoning Lantern is worth 10,000 points. Do you want to recycle them?”

The system asked.

“Of course not! I’m keeping them for fusion!”

Knowing the system was teasing him, Chen Fan still rejected without hesitation.

Treasures that involved souls were top-tier—rare and beyond price.

Seeing the bronze coffin and all the burial goods vanish into thin air, Wu i was extrely curious.

“Let’s go. Ti to leave this place!”

With that, Chen Fan grasped Wu i’s cold hand, linked to the mark, and disappeared with her.

“Buzz…”

In the blink of an eye, the two reappeared in a pavilion.

“So… this is the outside world?”

Wu i murmured, her gaze quickly shifting toward the distance.

Two powerful auras had suddenly erged.

They were none other than Queen dusa and Ba Xia.

Sensing the surge of a powerful cold aura, they had imdiately locked onto the source and arrived.

“So strong!!”

Wu i also felt the threat from dusa and Ba Xia, her expression turning grave. Yet her body instinctively stood in front of Chen Fan.

“They’re allies!”

“No need to worry.”

Chen Fan saw Wu i’s reaction and smiled.

Wu i was indeed powerful.

But the world she ca from wasn’t of a very high level, so her strength had its limits.

“No wonder you took so long…”

“Turns out you found another beauty. And she looks like a queen too…”

dusa spoke mildly, but her tone carried a strange edge, one tinged with jealousy.

“Jealous?”

Chen Fan was thrilled inside, a little smug.

“She’s jealous of ?”

Wu i sensed it too and smiled at Chen Fan.

“So what if I am?”

“You… kinda look like a dead person!”

dusa narrowed her eyes slightly, openly admitting it, yet also subtly confronting her.

“I am.”

“But the Young Master has granted vitality.”

“I’m very much alive now.”

Wu i wasn’t one to back down.

“Still got a corpse face though!”

dusa chuckled.

“Bit creepy!”

“All right now, we all co from the myriad worlds, and it’s fate that brought us together because of our lord.”

“We should get along and not make things difficult for him.”

Ba Xia stepped forward and spoke softly to diate.

“Especially you. You were the first to et the Young Master and form a bond with him…”

Ba Xia continued to advise dusa.

“As expected of Ba Xia—her mindset is steady, her countless years of experience give her poise and presence…”

Chen Fan was quite comforted by Ba Xia’s words and felt pleased inside.
