Chapter 369: Chapter 369: No Backing Out
At the Shen Zhou Battle Domain Headquarters, inside the office of the Great Elder on the top floor.
The Great Elder sat in front of his desk, his face filled with a kind expression as he looked at Qin Chuan who had just entered the office.
"You look even younger than you do in the photos, and you have a sharper spirit," the Great Elder said in his first encounter with Qin Chuan.
There were only the Great Elder and Qin Chuan in the office. Hearing what the Great Elder said, Qin Chuan was slightly surprised; he never expected the esteed Great Elder of the Shen Zhou Battle Domain to be so approachable.
As the Great Elder’s words ended, he suddenly turned the screen in front of his desk towards Qin Chuan.
The screen displayed the live surveillance feed from Secretary Huang’s office.
"Just now, I’ve been watching this screen for a whole hour. Your temperant far surpasses those of your age group, and I admire you for that," the Great Elder remarked.
This was the second thing the Great Elder said to him.
However, to the Great Elder’s surprise, after revealing to Qin Chuan that he had been observing him for an hour, Qin Chuan showed no reaction, as if the statent had nothing to do with him at all.
It was indeed a test the Great Elder had conducted on Qin Chuan, having only observed him through the monitor and made a rough assessnt of his extraordinary temperant.
But at this mont, even after informing Qin Chuan of the hour-long observation, Qin Chuan’s expression remained unchanged.
"Great Elder, if you have sothing to say, just say it. There’s no need for these pointless tests."

Qin Chuan’s expression remained very calm, his deep eyes fixed on the Great Elder, not saying a word, waiting for the Great Elder’s next words.

"If you can kill Liu Kuangren, I will propose to the King that you be appointed as the Guardian of the Northern Border, commanding a million valiant soldiers!"
The Great Elder himself started to feel his blood boil with excitent, yet after a long wait, he saw not a trace of surprise on Qin Chuan’s face.
Shen Zhou has four regions: the East, South, West, and North, guarded respectively by four Guardians personally appointed by the King, each wielding command over a million valiant soldiers.

Although a Guardian is not a mber of the Battle Domain Elders Council, their power is terrifyingly great.
Just like the Sovereign Master, who is on the surface the most powerful figure in the secular world of Shen Zhou, he is one of the four major Guardians, the Eastern Border Guardian.

But before the Great Elder could finish speaking, Qin Chuan interrupted, "Great Elder, I’m sorry! For certain reasons, I cannot join the Battle Domain."

But to his disappointnt, Qin Chuan shook his head decisively in refusal, "I will not consider it!"

The Great Elder sighed deeply, his face showing disappointnt as he said, "If you’re not willing, then so be it! But I rember Lu Yaozong saying that you had agreed to beco the Chief Instructor of the Grandmaster Battle Team?"

Qin Chuan furrowed his brow and replied, "If I rember correctly, it should be the Azure Dragon Combat Team, right?"
Feigning confusion, the Great Elder asked, "Is it the Azure Dragon Combat Team?"
He obviously knew that it was the Azure Dragon Combat Team, but at the ti, he was unclear about Qin Chuan’s true situation. Now, though still not entirely clear, he could at least be certain that with Qin Chuan’s strength, even the role of Chief Instructor for the Grandmaster Battle Team would be well deserved.
