He had called it a burial ground of heaps of tal, but now his thoughts differed.
The right word was:
A Burial Ground of chs.
The tallic structures that rose from the ground were, in fact, protrusions of chs.
So of the pillars were body parts, and from above, Everlearn could take in their full shape.
What shocked him was how abnormally large these chs were.
They were truly gargantuan, with legs and necks stretching across the ground for kiloters.
And they were all... dead.
Yet,
CLAAAAANK
SCREEECHH
He could still hear the occasional scratching of tal, and that actually ca from them.
These wolf-like creatures, half chanical with steel-like maws and claws, tallic, and half flesh, the rest of their bodies.
Even from above, their size was staggering, and he estimated that they stood around three ters tall.
They were a random group, covering the burial ground like cockroaches over a wasteland.
Their maws were tallic enough to rip through the exteriors of the chs, and Everlearn watched them actually crunching on the tal, grinding it like food.
’This... this is insane,’
Everlearn mused, but in the next mont, sothing irregular happened.
WHIIIISTLE
He heard the air whistle for a brief mont, and when he quickly turned toward the distant cloud, he was stunned speechless as sothing burst out of it at terrifying speed.
It was a bird.
No,
A chanical bird, with wings of pure tal.
It flew toward one of the wolves on the ground, whisking it up before it could even react.
Imdiately, the dog reacted with speed, slamming out its claws and biting with its teeth, yet,
CLACCCK!
Against the tallic body of the bird, the claws were useless.
Its talons dug into the wolf as it carried it more than four hundred ters into the air, then suddenly let it go.
It flailed around wildly, and Everlearn witnessed a brutal scene.
The bird didn’t wait for it to fall onto the ground.
Instead, it flashed forward towards the wolf with frightening speed.
First was the arms, ripped off by its tallic beak and devoured whole, then its legs, and then its head, before it completely ripped the stomach area, dividing the wolf into two.
By the ti it reached twenty ters before the ground, there was nothing left but heaps of tal and blood raining down.
’It... it devoured it!?’
The horrifying dogs that had once petrified Everlearn were torn to pieces.
SCREEEEECHHHHH!
The bird suddenly screeched loudly as if in victory, and Everlearn watched as the dogs all over the burial ground suddenly began speeding away in full force.
"What’s happening?"
He mused, but then,
SCREEEEEEEECHHHHHH!
A powerful screech rang out through the burial ground, and this ti, it ca from the sky.
Everlearn looked up, frowning as he noticed strange shapes hidden within the clouds.
But in the next mont, horror replaced his expression.
The cloud burst apart, and A flock of about 100 chanical birds rushed out.
"What the fuck!?"
He scread out, imdiately turning to run, only to pause.
Where was he to run to?
The ground was toxic; he couldn’t return.
And he was clinging to a hand with not much surface area.
What was he to do?
SCREEEEECHHHH!
The screech sent his heart into a frenzy as he witnessed the absolute massacre.
The chanical birds ranged in hundreds, blanketing the sky, and occasionally, they swooped down upon the wolves, dragging them up into the air.
In the next mont, green blood and heaps of tal rained down as the dogs were brutally torn apart by claws and beaks.
His heart turned cold upon the sight watching beings stronger than him being ripped to pieces by even stronger beings.
All he could do was cling harder to the finger, trying to hide himself amongst the tal.
He prayed not to be seen, but his prayers weren’t answered.
SCREEEEECH!
A powerful screech, louder this ti, targeted him directly, and Everlearn turned his head just to watch one of the birds shooting toward him with frightening speed.
"SHIT!"
He cursed, hurriedly jumping away from where he was and landing on one of the tallic hairs.
CLAAAAANG!
The sound of tal clanging echoed as the bird’s claws struck where Everlearn had been monts before, shredding the tallic hairs and leaving deep scratch marks on the ch’s surface.
PUCCCHIII!
"Argh!"
A painful groan left Everlearn’s lips as his eyes thickened with red veins.
Looking at his shoulder, he found one of the pointed hairs had ripped into it, stained with his blood.
He had frantically jumped away, and that had skewered him.
SCREEEEECH!
The second screech made him forget the pain as he watched the bird take a detour, then it rushed forward toward him once more.
"MOVE!"
"MOVE!"
Ryuk could hear the screaming in his head as he gritted his teeth, tearing out his shoulder from the tallic hair before quickly jumping to the side.
But then,
RIIIIIIIIIPPPP!
Blood spurted out like a phantom as his hand was roughly torn apart by the sharp talons, nailing into the wall.
Everlearn’s hand grabbed a tallic hair, halting him from falling, yet his eyes widened as red blood rained down upon his face.
He turned up, and found the bird, his right arm in its monstrous beak, watching as it chewed down upon his hand, ripping apart flesh and bones and devouring it in gulps.
The scene of his own hand being ripped to pieces left him with a scar he didn’t know how to feel.
His breathing grew ragged from horror, yet quickly replacing that horror was anger.
Fiery, burning anger.
"DIIIIIIEEEEEEEE!"
The insane scream rang out as Everlearn twisted himself up with his other hand, rushing into the sky.
Grabbing a half-severed tallic hair, he tore it off the hand’s surface before running upward.
SCREEEEEECHHHHH!
The bird noticed his approach and devoured the remaining flesh in a single gulp before racing downward toward Everlearn from above.
Both jumped off the hand, a ter away from each other, blitzing towards the other.
In the next mont, they collided
RIIIIIIIIIIIIP!
PUUCCCHI!
