He said, bringing out a laptop which he set up on the table between them.
Everlearn worked swiftly, logging into the chara Organization’s server and selecting the branch in Cornando.
He had access to the servers in Ellocious, but cha Eva was from Cornando, where he had no access.
Accessing the Cornando base server required soone stationed there, which is why he needed help.
He angled his laptop toward Sir Lontan and passed it to him.
The mont the man saw the web interface asking for a userna and password, his expression changed.
This was the sa thing he used to log in to every day of his work, except this was no work.
He had been abducted to provide this.
If he provided this, he would be giving Everlearn access to their company, allowing him to see all recruit nas and even upcoming products and creations.
This information was worth billions of Nvdollars, and if its loss were ever traced back to him, the punishnt would be unimaginable.
An idea crossed through his mind as his hands reached for the keyboard, but just before it did, Everlearn’s voice echoed.
"I know there’s a different code login that signals to the company that you’re being forced to log in to its server, making them give you access to a fake server."
Everlearn said, and Sir Lontan’s hands imdiately paused.
That was the thing he planned.
Of course, the chara Organization knew so of its employees could be abducted and asked to provide their code.
So they had created an ergency fake server that their employee could provide code for.
The abductors would believe they were seeing the real thing, but it was a server filled with lies, and what’s more, their instant location would be tracked down, and the organization would get the signal that they had been abducted and quickly co looking for them.
But this was information known only to high-ranking personnel. How could the young man have known it?
"I cannot provide the code," Sir Lontan said.
"On the server, there are millions of workers’ personal information, their family information, including IDs, current addresses."
"If you’re from a terrorist group, millions could die from giving you this access."
"I’d rather die than do sothing that’ll destroy a million lives."
Sir Lontan said, this ti rationally.
Even though he was filled with fear, that never erased the danger of how many lives he was aware he could lose from this.
Moreover, if the company learned he had granted an outsider access to their server, they would certainly believe he had exposed their upcoming billion‑dollar project.
They might even send soone to assassinate him and his entire family.
He knew what the chara Organization was capable of.
So instead of dying and bringing his family down or a million others’ families down, he’d rather die alone.
"Then, you can do the search."
Everlearn said as the man paused.
"The... search?"
"Truth is, I need one person’s information. Just one person."
"I want to know everything recorded about her, so you can log in to the server, find her files, and once I get that, you log out, and we can both part our various ways..."
He said, and Sir Lontan paused.
If all he required was a single person, it was a simpler, more personal bargain.
"And how am I sure you won’t just yank the laptop off my hands while I open the server..." he asked suspiciously, and to that question, all Everlearn replied was:
"I won’t."
It wasn’t convincing at all, and he could see that from the man’s hand pausing.
"Or you can still say no, and I’ll just find soone else who can handle it. The choice is yours, really."
Everlearn replied, his hands slowly shifting to claws as he quietly began reverting into his Illumino transformation.
The sight of those abyssal forms brought chills to Sir Lontan, who quickly replied.
’Okay. Fine. Fine."
He said, and Everlearn paused, his transformation receding to normal.
He watched as the man shifted his seat back toward the opposite wall, then quickly typed in the password.
"Don’t you move a step," he said, watching Everlearn, who remained reclined in his seat without a care in the world.
That seed to keep him at peace, and he continued typing for a mont before asking
"What’s the na...?"
"Eva... Eva Arimitsche."
