The system notification panel appeared as Everlearn rose from his knees, sitting with his back against the glass.
"Hey, system," he called out.

The system listed out, and Everlearn grinned.
It fell short of the system’s chs in overall might, but it exceeded so of them in acceleration, max speed, and weapon options.
He rose to his feet in the next mont, ordering.
"Hey, Ever?"
He called out, tapping his feet on the ground and letting the glass surrounding them disperse.
"Yes, Everlearn."
"Step out," he said, and in the next mont, the ch moved.
With its slim body, its movent seed to cut through the air like a blade, absolutely seamless and incredibly fast, even with just a single walk.
The idea for this body type originated from a lesson Everlearn learned in his Weapon class during his Newcor year:
His swinging down the edge of the spear was far faster than swinging down his arm, and he learned that was due to the less and more streamlined contact the spear’s edge made with the air surface.
This was why he designed the ch’s body to be streamlined with aerodynamics in mind, and now that choice had proven right.
Watching the ch glide around him, he ordered.
"Hover."
Hmmm.
A soft hum pulsed from the ch’s legs, light flickering outward. It took two steps forward, but its third never touched the ground.
They hovered exactly 10 centiters away, once more gliding through the air, but this ti without their feet touching the ground.
"It’s working perfectly."
The Everlight Guard ch wasn’t capable of flight.
That would require full-on burst nozzles beneath its feet, sothing that he can’t have because the legs were ant to be smooth.
There was no space for a nozzle, and even if he made one, it would ss up the aerodynamics.
So he had opted for slits along the sides of the ch’s legs to release controlled bursts of energy, just enough to lift it gently off the ground.

But if it ran and jumped, it could hover with its slim body, allowing it to glide.
"Activate Weapon!"

It was the sound of a katana drawn from its sheath, as from the smooth end of the ch’s hand, sothing tore out.
It was the edge of a sword, 1.5 ters in length, gleaming with condensed crimson energy.
Even a flicker of it created white slash marks in the air, yet the striking part was that there wasn’t just a single sword.
SHRIIIIIIIIIIING!
A second sound followed, and from the ch’s other hand, another sword edge appeared, the sa height, except instead of crimson, this one had crimson energy wrap.
These were the most lethal parts of the ch.
The blades.
The right blade contained concentrated blue energy, created from a rare, destructive ore purchased from the system’s shop.
The red energy ca from a burn-destructive ore, also obtained from the system’s shop.
The burn-destructive ore was what Nvidia mainly used in its weapon.
As for the blue one, he had never seen it before except in this ch of his.
Still, all of this was only the basics of the ch.
The real deal was:
"Undergo Joint Protocol."
He said, and in the next mont, the ch stepped closer, standing upright before Everlearn.
From the center of its chest, and part of its arms, along with the rest of its torso, a hole appeared.
A humanoid-shaped one exactly fitting for a 2-ter body.
A phantom force lifted Everlearn off his feet, turning him around as his body was brought into the ch.
The second his back connected, he felt the force anchoring him to the ch.
The nano armor rippled instantly, restoring the arms, and the helt moved into place, covering his face.
In just 7 seconds, there was no more Everlearn, just the sa Everlight ch, standing motionless.
But in the next mont, the lines that demarcated its eyes opened, and this ti they didn’t flash blue, but red!
Inside the armor, Everlearn tried to get a feel of things.
"Hey Ever, Create Thought Resonance."
"Thought Resonance Protocol Established!"
A movent of his arm, and the ch’s arm followed easily, carrying out his thought faster than his own hands ever could.
He jumped up slightly, and the glide feature activated, allowing him to quietly glide around the room without his feet touching the ground.

He exclaid gleefully while performing stunts in the air.
He had expected piloting the ch to be difficult.
And it was, sincerely challenging.
That was why he had created Ever, the AI simulation, to make the process easier.
And now, with the thought resonance, it was perfect.
The ch was designed for running rather than gliding. Everlearn wanted to feel what it was like to run at twice the speed of sound, but he couldn’t.

The nano surface rippled, revealing Everlearn. He stepped onto the ground as it returned smoothly to its original state.
"Hey, Ever, turn into your basic transport form."
Everlearn spoke, and the ch’s surface began breaking apart into tiny nano shreds before his eyes.
Quickly, the Light Guard ch was no more, but ripple panels of chs, and he watched these ripple panels quickly coalesce together once more.
But they didn’t form the ch.
