"And why would you want to know where the Ronkhasa Giants are?"

The voice ca from a being, none other than the head post, beside whom was a figure wearing a huge coat that covered almost his entire body, and even his face.

"Do I look hidden enough?" Everlearn asked, looking at the thick dark coat on him.

"Hmmm, actually, aren’t you a Duman?" he asked, as Everlearn paused.

"Co again?"

"I thought you were a Duman, one of the inferior races. The weird thing is, you don’t have those dark tattoos on your face, though."

’The fuck? You knew there was a race like and made wear all this shit!?’ Everlearn thought, brows quivering in disbelief.

Even though he was like the man before him, his skin wasn’t purple.

He risked being noticed for being different.

That was why he had worn all of this.

But if there was already a race like him out there, then there was no need to hide, making all of this a waste of ti.

But now that he’d worn it, removing it was no longer an option.

"Now, where are the Ronkhasa Giants?" he asked.

"And I asked why you would want to know about them."

"’Cuz they stole sothing from , and I gotta take it back."

"Even if they ran to the depths of hell, I want my treasure back at all costs."

Everlearn said, his reaction making a glint cross through Adalman’s eyes.

He had initially thought the being before him was here to seek revenge for them taking the Rankhsa Giants.

But now, it seed more of a feud.

’If it’s a feud, then that’s good.’

’I can take him to them, since they’ll soon be prisoners, and after that, he’ll be captured and made a prisoner too.’

’Might as well make him get his final wish before being locked up.’

Adalman thought wickedly before he nodded.

"All captured races must et with the High Lord to confirm capture. The Ronkhasa Giants must be on their way to his do."

"Follow ," he said, and quickly enough, they stepped out of the dark alleyway they were in.

Everlearn got a few looks here and there, but nothing was abnormal.

There were others cloaked in garnts that hid their features, and since he was clearly being led by a Yorimuda guard, none of them ca close.

Adalman also didn’t do anything weird, even as they walked past a couple of guards.

He had turned wildly more friendly, but Everlearn wasn’t stupid enough to think the guard had suddenly beco a friend of his.

He knew he was most likely being tracked, or worse, that this guy was leading him straight into a den of guards.

Whatever it was, he wasn’t going to fall for it. His senses were sharpened to their maximum, taking in every detail and sound from kilotres away.

Yet even with his senses sharpened to their peak, he spared enough attention to take in the city they moved through.

There were a lot of races.

Like a real lot.

It was undeniable to Everlearn; he felt even a bit weird.

An alien race, the Nakros, may have indeed invaded Nvidiai, but you wouldn’t find Nakros strolling around in broad daylight.

Only humans filled the streets.

Yet walking through so many races who were obviously different from each other, with more or less harmony.

It was a surreal feeling.

But it wasn’t all just good. There were the bads, and that was the obvious hierarchy.

So races held other races in chains, dragging them as they obediently walked behind them.

What was unbelievable?

So of these races pulling the other race in chains could be flattened to paste by the race they were dragging, yet that never happened.

It’s like... It’s like a kid taming a tiger.

It didn’t make much sense how that was even possible.

’I guess this would fit into that slavery stuff they used to talk about in history books,’ he mused quietly.

Apart from the people, there was a lot more.

They used Notes to trade for food, at, and other necessities.

And while so spoke Archon, many still used English, allowing Everlearn to understand their conversations as he walked past.

They didn’t seem to have much technological advancent at all, yet he couldn’t fathom how they had built such incredibly smooth structures and floors without technology.

It was smoother and more precise than most builds on Nvidia, and he knew building technology was one of their most advanced fields.

How they could accomplish this without tech left him dumbfounded.

As they walked further, he soon reached a road with fewer people trading, but more beings in chains.

They were being dragged toward a do-like building covered in purple runes, radiating arcane lights that stretched into the sky.

And one of those races, halfway to that do, was the Ronkhasa Giants.

The second Everlearn saw them, the notification flashed.

[Congratulations on Completing the Mission. Find the Missing Ronkhasa Giant.]

’Done,’ he mused to himself quietly.

Adalman was still leading him, but Everlearn could sense it.

Dozens of guards marched behind him on the bridge, and ahead, inside the do, he sensed strong arcane waves, indicating that many guards were stationed there.

If he walked to the Rokhasa Giants now, he would be captured along with them.

Understanding this, he paused for a mont, retraced his steps in reverse, and in the next instant, vanished from the bridge, disappearing into the flowing stream beneath.

"There’s the Rankhsa Giant. You want to—" Adalman was still saying when he paused in the next mont, snapping his head backwards.

He was gone.

He dashed to the edge of the bridge and saw ripples on the stream.

"Tch. I lost him!"

"Adalman, where is he..."

The guards who reached him asked, and he pointed down at the sea.

They all looked down at it, only to see the river flowing.

The ripples have already cald.

"You... you worthless thing! You let him escape!?"

PAAAAAK!
