Chapter 85: Chapter 85 Destiny ets Here

Editor: Noodletown Translations

As the arch of the foot broke free from the firelight, a blood-red glow suddenly lit up on the head of the pitch-black cha, then an arm stretched out. When it was just over ten ters away from the unconscious Mu Fan lying on the ground, the entire cha perford an aerial front flip, its two legs stamping the ground, and kicking up a ring of dust.

When the dust settled, a deep, pitch-black cha stood silently. The entire cha body was over six ters tall, with joints at the arches, knees, spine, elbows, shoulders, and neck wrapped in dark red armor, while the rest was pitch black.

A pair of ghostly light blades with cold edges rose from either side of the foot arch. The left leg was covered with inverted armor that turned upwards from the foot arch, and on the other side, the skeletal structure of the pitch-black leg was exposed in fragnts.

Dark red armor extended from the forearms to above the wrists, with claw blades that glimred coldly, nestled between the arm armor and the hand bones.

The left hand hung down, while the right held a dark red scabbard slung across the waist, not too wide nor too narrow. The perfect proportions and the slightly extended arc at the end made it look more like a samurai sword.

...

The tattered blood-red cape on its back fluttered in the wind, yet upon closer inspection, it wasn’t just any ordinary cloth but appeared to be countless twinkling tiny crystals, sotis forming a cross-hatched, scar-laden cape with several splits and at other tis scattering like smoke.

Three elongated blade corners slanted on each shoulder and head.

The head had two red beams glowing hauntingly, more intense and blood-colored than any other part, chilling to the bone!

The cha had multiple areas of the outer armor broken, with countless scratches and bullet holes scattered across its body, testifying to nurous battles.

Its perfect streamlined body and the deep and dark paint, although it only carried a sword and a cape, involuntarily evoked a shiver of the soul. It was as if it was a Shura returned from the hell of death!

The cha watched the unconscious Mu Fan at its feet, suddenly reached out to pick him up, and brought him to its chest, its blood-red eyes staring at the boy.

The black tag on Mu Fan’s chest seed to respond, turning red and hot, the temperature rising until it imprinted on the skin of Mu Fan’s chest, followed by a flash of blood light.

“Identity recognized: Heir, first-priority person.”

“Target consciousness unclear, in critical condition, initiating ergency procedures.”

“Preparing to awaken consciousness. Detecting remaining energy at 5.6%, sufficient for maintaining low-intensity combat for 74 hours.”

“Condition t.”

A chanical voice sounded, and the front of the cha’s chest opened a passage, ejecting an open acceptance chamber. It sent Mu Fan into the acceptance chamber, ingesting him inside. Close!

When Mu Fan appeared inside the cha, if he were conscious, he would have exclaid that it was like the cockpit he experienced for the first ti in the EH01 model, but compared to that scene, the number of black tal hoses flying around him now was denser and more exaggerated!

“Swish! Swish!” More than thirty tallic hoses simultaneously extended spikes, then directly pierced into every part of Mu Fan’s body.

Even two spots directly entered the back of his head. Then, circuits activated! The entire cockpit lit up with a blood-red glow.

“Ah!” Mu Fan, in a coma, finally shouted sothing, then his entire aura changed, the previous frailty and weakness vanishing completely.

Eyes tightly shut, body extended, Mu Fan stood in the middle!

It was as if he dread a long dream…

“Lost contact with the councilman!” The colonel of the Fourth Guard, upon hearing the communicator’s report, dug his nails deep into his palm. Then he looked around at the monitoring screens showing the cha squad’s fierce resistance, picked up the communicator, and spoke in a low and tragic tone, “Today, we live and die together. If we die, let us die gloriously! All personnel arm yourselves, prepare for close-quarter battle!”

In the base, whether soldiers or officers, engineers or repair technicians, everyone began to distribute weapons. Everyone understood that the final battle had arrived.

So had tears in their eyes, others wore determined expressions, and so remained expressionless. But all took their weapons, they would serve as the base’s final line of defense, and they would fight to the last.

Inside No.1 City Zone, the troops being gradually encircled heard the councilman’s speech and also the abrupt interruption, but a military order was as unyielding as a mountain. The troops began to assault outward without turning back to the councilman’s residence.

Outside No.1 City, inside the mountain, the major general learned from the restored network about the information aggregated from all sides. He slamd his fist down and roared in anger, “Transmit Loga’s highest-level military order, all forces target—councilman’s residence. Anyone who disobeys the order will be executed on the spot!”

Wen Yu listened to the major general’s command and wore a slight smile, “Afraid it’s too late.”

The Wind Thief soaring above the residence had already bombarded the area below into a sea of fire with its four floating cannons, which were exclusive weapons of the Wind Thief cha, developed especially for area fire coverage as an A-grade air-combat weapon. Its single-target attack fell short compared to the Thunder Slash cha’s Thunder Sacrifice Surge Cannon, but due to its flight characteristics and wide-range attack features, the effective lethality of the Wind Thief cha even surpassed that of the Thunder Slash cha.

Through the screen, the Poison Scorpion watched the scene below, a strange glee rising in its heart. As a Star Thief, there was nothing more satisfying than to freely bombard the administrative core of a planet!

Mu Fan felt himself in a strange world, this world covered in blood-red. One mont, his consciousness was still in RX-16, and now he seed to have transford into a cha, appearing in this blood-red world.

Staring at the familiar tall buildings and familiar buildings in the distance, he realized he was still at the sa location! He looked down at his feet, seeing the vaporized deep pit and the RX-16 blown into two halves in front of him.

Where am I! Am I still myself! Mu Fan instinctively extended his left hand to look down, seeing his arm covered in a blood-red hand armor.

He wanted to extend his right hand but suddenly felt sothing in it; looking again, it was a sword with a scabbard, no, a samurai sword.

Have I beco a cha? Where’s Black? Black!

Mu Fan opened his mouth to shout, but no sound ca out. He felt as though his consciousness and body were disconnected. He didn’t hear any response from Black; this was no longer the familiar cockpit, nor was there the familiar voice.

Did I just get hit by a powerful weapon?

So what now?

Just then, Mu Fan suddenly felt his body move, but this movent wasn’t under his conscious control; it felt as though he was observing his actions from the sidelines. This strange sensation left Mu Fan utterly confused as to where he was.

Crouching down, he could feel the muscle fibers tightening, magnifying, then releasing energy! His whole being, no, the whole cha jumped directly onto a rooftop over twenty stories high.

“Unknown cha detected!”

“Unidentifiable machine detected!”

At this mont, everyone on the battlefield noticed the black cha standing facing the wind on a distant rooftop!

Nothing else, it was because that crimson cape was so eye-catching, flying boldly in the wind under the open sky, behind that black cha!
