"Sister!!" she practically shouted, her tone half-protest, half-whine. "I’m older than them now! Just because I was born last among the Seven Beings of Chaos doesn’t an I should stay the junior forever!" She balled her hands into fists, sleeves dangling, looking every bit like a stubborn teenager throwing a fit.
She jabbed a finger toward Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing, her expression twisted in exaggerated indignation. "Besides—look at them! Mo Yuxin is Rule’s inheritor, and she isn’t even fifty years old yet! Fifty! That’s like... a baby in our terms! And you’re asking to call her senior sister?!"
Her starry eyes flared dramatically as she huffed, crossing her arms and turning her head away with an exaggerated "hmph."
Shen Mingyue’s expression didn’t change. She listened quietly to her sister’s rant, but the calm in her eyes was unshakable, like a mountain unmoved by storm or fire. Once Heavenly Dao was done stomping and pouting, Shen Mingyue finally replied, her tone even colder than before—
"Shen Miqiu! Do as I say!"
The person standing in front of her, whose true identity was the heavenly dao known as Shen Miqiu, imdiately stiffened. Without hesitation, she bent over at exactly a 90-degree angle toward Su Yubing, her expression both serious and full of reverence.
"Junior sister greets senior sister!!!" Shen Miqiu’s voice rang out loud and clear, full of energy and formality. "How are you, senior sister! Even though you may not rember because your mories haven’t fully returned yet... but you must already know, from your boundless knowledge and insight, that I am your junior, the heavenly dao, and my human na is Shen Miqiu!!"
Her tone was overly enthusiastic, almost theatrical, as if trying very hard to impress or please Su Yubing.
Su Yubing blinked in slight surprise. She didn’t expect Shen Miqiu to be so enthusiastic about this formal introduction, especially considering the tension of the situation. Still, she found the girl’s attitude rather cute, and a soft smile appeared on her face.
"Well," Su Yubing said, her voice calm but kind, "it’s nice to et you, junior sister."
At that mont, Shen Miqiu seed to breathe out a long sigh of relief. Her posture relaxed just a bit, and a bright, almost mischievous smile spread across her face, making her look much more approachable.
She then turned her gaze toward Mo Yuxin, who was standing quietly to the side, watching the whole interaction unfold. But the mont Shen Miqiu’s eyes landed on Mo Yuxin, sothing strange happened.
Her previously respectful and admiring expression completely shifted. Her eyes glazed over just a little, and with an expression that was almost bored, she said, "Well... nice to et you too, senior sister..."
The way she spoke felt so casual, almost as if she didn’t really care at all. Her voice lacked the energy and enthusiasm she’d shown toward Su Yubing. To top it off, her eyes seed to roll back just a bit, as if dealing with a chore she couldn’t be bothered with.
Su Yubing couldn’t hold back her laughter. The contrast between the two greetings was just too funny. She chuckled softly, letting herself enjoy the mont.
Mo Yuxin, on the other hand, looked slightly helpless. She sighed deeply, a small smile playing on her lips, but clearly she felt a little awkward.
"It’s okay, Shen Miqiu," Mo Yuxin said gently, trying to ease the situation. "You don’t have to call senior sister. Just call by my na."
She gave a small pause, then continued with an easy tone, "Honestly, you’re way older than I am. Even though by seniority, I’m supposed to be above you, but in terms of age, I’m still younger. So... it’s really fine if you just call Mo Yuxin."
As soon as Mo Yuxin said those words, sothing almost magical seed to happen. Shen Miqiu’s eyes suddenly brightened, like tiny stars lighting up inside them. Her expression turned respectful once again, and she looked at Mo Yuxin with a level of admiration that seed genuine.
"Ohhh..." Shen Miqiu said, her voice sounding more sincere now. "Thank you, Mo Yuxin."
For a mont, the air between them was warm and easygoing, as if the awkwardness of the earlier exchange had vanished.
Shen Mingyue nodded slightly at the exchange and spoke with a calm yet firm tone,
"Good. Now then, your work here is done. As you can see, Death and Rule, though not quite recovered yet, have been found, and they have already begun treading their journey. I have also located my Yin. You can return to the central continent now."
Her voice was soft, but carried the undeniable authority of a leader giving an order, leaving no room for argunt.
Shen Minqiu was about to voice a protest, to argue or demand further explanation, but in the next instant, her eyes suddenly began to shine. A radiant golden light seed to flash through her silver irises, casting a mystical glow. Without warning, she leapt into Shen Mingyue’s arms as though she were a child, abandoning all composure, and began to shout with overwhelming excitent.
"Wait!! You have found sister Yin!!! Really??????????? Tell now!! Who is she?? Where is she???"
Shen Mingyue was montarily taken aback by the fervor of Shen Minqiu’s reaction, almost overwheld by the childlike energy and raw emotion pouring from the youngest of the seven beings of chaos. Yet, deep down, she understood the depth of Shen Minqiu’s feelings.
Shen Minqiu, known as the Heavenly Dao, was the youngest of the seven beings of chaos. From the very beginning of her existence, she had been the most pampered and sheltered by the others. She was regarded as the little sister everyone loved, cherished, and protected. Among all six elder siblings, Shen Minqiu held a special, incomparable affection for Yin.
The bond between them was unlike any other. It was not rely the love shared between siblings or friends but sothing far deeper. The way a hatchling regards its first human caretaker — an unwavering attachnt ford in the earliest days of life. From the mont of her birth, the first being Shen Minqiu saw was Yin. The deep sense of love and reliance she held for Yin far surpassed any connection she had with the others.
Yin, in turn, had always reciprocated this affection with a gentle and nurturing spirit. She accepted Shen Minqiu wholeheartedly, treating her with kindness and warmth that could only be described as maternal. Yin had taken on the role of a true mother — feeding her, clothing her, patiently teaching her the ways of the world and the complexities of the chaos realm. She had instructed Shen Minqiu on how to wield her powers, understand her role as the Heavenly Dao, and guided her through the intricate responsibilities of their existence.
Whenever Shen Minqiu made mistakes, Yin would scold her with a gentle firmness, never harshly but enough to steer her back onto the right path. She pampered her endlessly, constantly encouraging and supporting her in every way. It was a relationship built on profound love, trust, and dependence, woven tightly through years of shared mories and experiences.
From the very beginning, Shen Minqiu had been an energetic and mischievous child, her personality vibrant and full of life. Yet, there was one among the six elder siblings who she deeply feared — Law. Law, being the eldest alongside Life, held imnse power and authority. Her cold, expressionless face, and piercing eyes seed capable of freezing anyone who dared cross her path. The re presence of Law demanded absolute respect, discipline, and, above all, fear from the others. The only exception was Life, who seed to possess an unshakable influence over Law, as if Law were completely under her subtle control. But that, Shen Mingyue thought with a faint smile, was a story for another ti.
Among all the siblings, Shen Minqiu was the most devastated by Yin’s injury. She suffered intensely, as if her own existence was tethered to Yin’s well-being. The battle that led to Yin’s critical condition had left her heart broken. Without hesitation, Shen Minqiu embarked on a desperate journey spanning nearly three thousand worlds, determined to find her beloved Yin. She scoured every corner, followed every faint trace, and combed through countless dinsions, but Sha’s formidable powers had concealed Yin’s location with absolute precision, making her search seem hopeless.
Eventually, Shen Minqiu learned that Yin would have to undergo nine reincarnations to fully recover. What brought her so comfort amidst the despair was the knowledge that Yang’s essence resided within Yin, providing a protective barrier that would ensure Yin’s safety throughout the long process of recovery. Only then did Shen Minqiu allow herself to find so small asure of peace.
The toll of her relentless pursuit, however, had left Shen Minqiu severely strained. The energy and power she had poured into searching for Yin had drained her almost completely, leading her to slip into a prolonged state of hibernation. Ti beca a blur, worlds shifted, and ages passed while Shen Minqiu remained in suspended animation, her body resting but her heart forever bound to her lost sister.
When Shen Minqiu finally erged from her long hibernation, her first step in this world was guided by a single purpose: to reunite with Yin. Her connection with Yang provided the only clue — a subtle energy signature that led her here, to this very world, to this very mont.
And now, as she clung to Shen Mingyue, her voice trembling with anticipation, all that remained was for Shen Mingyue to reveal the identity and whereabouts of Yin.
