Beside her, ng Wanning was also nervous, but she comforted, "Shijie, take a deep breath."
Xiao ier nodded repeatedly, and at that mont, the plane began to accelerate, moving faster and faster. Xiao ier felt a force pressing her tightly into the seat, and she couldn’t help but close her eyes.
A few seconds later, the plane left the ground, ascending steadily into the sky.
Xiao ier felt the weightlessness vanish and slowly opened her eyes. Through the window, she saw the buildings on the ground getting smaller, turning into tiny squares.
"Are we... flying?" Xiao ier asked incredulously.
Chen Cheng nodded with a smile, "Yes, we’re flying."
Xiao ier turned to look out the window, watching as the scenery below grew smaller, filled with delight, "Is this what flying feels like?"
Wen Shulin smiled subtly, "How does it feel to fly on a private jet for the first ti?"
Xiao ier’s face turned red with excitent, she exclaid, "It’s amazing! Thank you, Sister Lin! It’s like a dream co true!"
She turned her head to look outside again, eyes filled with curiosity, "Those houses are so tiny, just like toy blocks!"
Wen Shulin chuckled lightly, "Once we reach cruising altitude, the scenery will be even more spectacular."
After the plane reached the stratosphere, the flight beca even smoother.
The seatbelt sign turned off, and Linda walked to the center of the cabin, smiling as she announced, "Ladies and gentlen, we have reached cruising altitude. You are now free to move around. Breakfast will be served shortly."
Su Liya eagerly jumped up from her seat and rushed to Wen Shulin’s side, pulling her hand coquettishly, "Can we open the champagne now?"
Wen Shulin nodded with a smile, saying to Linda, "Please go ahead."
Linda went to the bar, skillfully took out the bottle of Dom Pérignon Rosé, opened it, poured the pink liquid into the pre-prepared champagne glasses, and distributed them to everyone.
"Wow, it’s so beautiful!" Xiao ier admired, looking at the champagne filled with fine bubbles in her glass.
Everyone raised their glasses, celebrating this special journey.
"To our wonderful trip to Hainan!" Wen Shulin led the toast.
"Cheers!"
After taking a sip of champagne, breakfast was gradually served.
It began with Wen Shulin and Su Liya’s breakfast.
On the exquisite bone china plate, a dazzling array of delicacies was displayed.
Golden crispy French toast drizzled with maple syrup, spreading an enticing sweet aroma;
Fresh fruit salad, vibrant in colors, mouth-watering; and various pastries, petite and uniquely shaped.
Linda placed a serving of caviar in front of Wen Shulin, "Ms. Wen, this is your favorite Russian sturgeon caviar, paired with our special mini toast. The taste is delightful."
Wen Shulin smiled, picked up a small piece of bread, spread so caviar, and handed it to Xiao ier, "Xiao Er, try this."
Xiao ier took it, took a bite, and her eyes lit up.
Chen Cheng saw this and joked, "Is it really that good? Don’t we have this dish in the restaurant?"
"It’s different! It’s different!" Xiao ier replied repeatedly, "Normally, we eat it on the ground, but today, we’re eating it in the sky."
"Hahaha..."
Wen Shulin also took good care of i Xiang, specially requesting the crew to prepare Japanese cuisine.
Linda smiled, walked over to i Xiang, and placed down a lacquered tray. On the tray was a delicate Japanese breakfast.
Transparent sushi, exuding a faint aroma of rice; tender salmon sashimi, garnished with green wasabi and white radish strips; and a small bowl of steaming miso soup, wafting a rich fragrance.
"This is the Japanese breakfast Ms. Wen prepared for you, Miss Xingye, please enjoy," Linda said softly.
i Xiang looked at the familiar Japanese breakfast, a trace of surprise flickered in her eyes. In a foreign land, tasting the flavors of ho brought warmth to her heart.
After thanking Linda, she turned to Wen Shulin, "Thank you, Aunt Wen."
"Hope you like it," Wen Shulin smiled softly.
i Xiang picked up her chopsticks, took a piece of salmon sashimi, dipped it in a bit of wasabi and soy sauce, and put it in her mouth.
Her expression was akin to Xiao ier’s, except her eyes ford crescent shapes.
Later, Linda brought ng Wanning so preserved egg and lean pork congee, crab roe soup dumplings, and thoughtfully prepared so refreshing side dishes.
"Xiao ng, I know you have dietary restrictions, so I had them prepare sothing light for you," Wen Shulin said.
ng Wanning never expected this elder sister to prepare these for her, and the restraint she had felt for a while gradually eased.
"Thank you, Chairman Wen."
"Hey, don’t call Chairman Wen," Wen Shulin smiled gently.
"Then can I... like Shijie, call you Sister Lin?"
"Of course, you can," Wen Shulin took another sip of champagne, her smile deepening.
"Thank you, Sister Lin."
Linda ca over to Xiao ier’s side, "Miss Xiao, this is the dry stir fried spicy minced noodle Ms. Wen prepared for you. Please enjoy."
Xiao ier was montarily stunned, looking at the steaming spicy minced noodles Linda placed in front of her.
"Sister Lin..." Xiao ier turned to Wen Shulin.
Wen Shulin smiled gently, "I know you’re nervous about flying for the first ti. I hope this taste of ho will bring you comfort."
"Though undoubtedly, the flavor isn’t as good as when you make it," she added.
Xiao ier’s eyes reddened slightly, moved beyond words. She sniffed, "Sister Lin, you’re so thoughtful. I don’t even know how to thank you."
She picked up her chopsticks, lifted a bundle of noodles, and put them in her mouth. The familiar spicy flavor instantly spread across her tongue, it was the taste of ho, the familiar taste.
"Wow, this is the taste!"
Chen Cheng watched Xiao ier’s satisfied expression, and jokingly said, "Seems like this bowl of noodle is more comforting than my reassurance."
"Teasing again~"
Su Liya also ca over, curiously looking at the noodles in Xiao ier’s bowl, "Sister Xiao Er, is this noodle really that good? Can I try it?"
Xiao ier nodded quickly, "Of course, you can, try it."
She picked up so noodles with her chopsticks and handed them to Su Liya. Su Liya carefully took a bite, her face showing a surprised expression, "Wow, it’s spicy, it’s numbing, so delicious!"
Chen Cheng saw everyone had their food except himself, and jokingly asked, "Where’s mine?"
"Mr. Chen’s, of course, is the most special," Wen Shulin teased.
Linda walked to Chen Cheng, but instead of setting down a tray, she smiled mysteriously, "Mr. Chen, your breakfast will require a mont’s wait."
Chen Cheng was a bit puzzled, "Oh? What’s special about my breakfast?"
Wen Shulin then laughed and said, "Mr. Chen, guess what I’ve prepared for you?"
Chen Cheng thought for a mont, shook his head, "Your gourd always has sothing big inside, I really can’t guess what’s in it."
Xiao ier was also curious, "Sister Lin, what did you prepare? Tell us!"
At that mont, another flight attendant ca over with a thermal bag and handed it to Linda.
Linda took out two takeout boxes from the thermal bag, smiling as she said, "Mr. Chen, this is stewed fire pot and grilled wheat cake packed from your favorite old Beixin Bridge restaurant, by Ms. Wen’s special request. Enjoy."
"Stewed... fire pot?" Chen Cheng said in surprise, he opened the boxes, and the other contained fried dough.
Wen Shulin covered her mouth with a laugh, "If it weren’t for my dislike of the soybean juice, I’d ensure you had that too."
Everyone paused slightly before laughing in unison.
"You, settle for this! Stewed pot with fried dough, a new way to eat," Wen Shulin laughed heartily.
"Good fellow, these two things really took to the skies!"
Chen Cheng laughed happily too, "But honestly, I just love this!"
On this luxurious private jet, eating this down-to-earth stew, the contrasting experience was quite refreshing.
"As long as you like it," Wen Shulin gazed deeply at Chen Cheng.
He noticed Wen Shulin’s expression—the confident smile that commanded the scene familiar to him.
eting Wen Shulin’s intense gaze, he couldn’t help but think silently, "We haven’t even reached Hainan, my adventure is already starting?"
