"Brother Cheng he..." i Xiang muttered to herself, unable to figure out the reason despite thinking for a long ti.

At that mont, Su Liya took her hand, her eyes sincere, "i Xiang, you ca to this country with no one to rely on, and I ca back just as alone. We’re best friends, can you help ?"

"Help you?" i Xiang looked into those sincere eyes, "How can I help?"

"Well..." Before Li Ya could finish speaking, she realized that she was sitting in a car.

She whispered into i Xiang’s ear for a good while; i Xiang’s expression went from shocked to confused, then to understanding, and finally settled on a helpless, wry smile.

"Are you really going to do this?" i Xiang pressed on.

Li Ya nodded firmly, "I don’t have any other choice. I really like Uncle."

The car fell silent once again.

anwhile, Chen Donghai, who was driving, was also feeling his heart pounding as he listened to the conversation between the two young girls in the backseat.

One was Eurasian and the other a Japanese girl; both of them dealt with emotions in a way that was much more direct than any other who had sat in the backseat before.

i Xiang broke the silence, leaning forward, "Brother Xiao Hai, you won’t tell Brother Cheng about the chat Li Ya and I just had, will you?"

"Miss i Xiang, don’t worry..."

Li Ya also leaned forward, her hands clasped in a pleading gesture, "Please please~ Brother Xiao Hai~"

"I... didn’t hear anything..."

...

...

Upon arriving at Universal Studio, the four of them entered the park.

It was still i Xiang and Li Ya walking hand in hand up front, with Chen Cheng and Wen Shulin walking shoulder to shoulder behind them.

"Look, i Xiang and Li Ya really are best friends." Wen Shulin smiled tenderly, "Every ti they et since they were little, they’ve had endless things to talk about."

"Yeah,"

Chen Cheng echoed, but his gaze involuntarily drifted towards the hands of the two girls ahead, feeling sothing was off.

He was aware of Li Ya’s character, and i Xiang’s needed no ntioning.

Both acted as if nothing was happening, treating him like he was air; this was clearly a bit abnormal.

Before Chen Cheng could figure out what was going on, the two ahead stopped, turned around, and waved at Chen Cheng and Wen Shulin.

"What’s up?" Wen Shulin smoothed Li Ya’s hair.

"Mommy, i Xiang and I are going to play by ourselves. You and Mr. Chen don’t have to follow us, right?" Su Liya said with a smile, "We won’t be your third wheel!"

"You child~" Wen Shulin gave a wry smile; she actually wanted to be alone with Chen Cheng, after all, such opportunities were rare.

"Then it’s settled, thank you i Xiang."

Chen Cheng thought i Xiang would refuse, but to his surprise, she nodded agreeably, "Don’t worry, Aunt Wen. Li Ya and I will just wander around."

No sooner had she finished speaking, than Li Ya eagerly took i Xiang’s hand and walked forward, "Let’s go, let’s go~"

"You two take care~" Wen Shulin admonished.

Watching the two run off quickly, Wen Shulin added, "Just look at them, really~"

Chen Cheng frowned, his doubts growing.

"What? What is it?" Wen Shulin noticed his troubled look, "Are you unhappy because i Xiang left?"

Chen Cheng wrapped his arm around her slender waist, "What are you talking about? When was I not happy?"

Wen Shulin playfully glared at him, "Then why the long face? Soone who doesn’t know might think I forced you to be with ..."

"How could such a mature, beautiful, and wealthy older sister be a burden?" Chen Cheng deliberately emphasized the word "older".

"Who are you calling older?"

Chen Cheng gestured, "You."

"You’re never serious." Wen Shulin tapped Chen Cheng’s forehead, "Co on, accompany for a walk."

The two walked through the park like a couple, hands interlocked.

"There’s sothing I haven’t asked you about." Chen Cheng said.

"Hm?"

"As we’re about to cross into the new year, how is your new company doing?"

Wen Shulin responded vaguely, "I’ve already submitted a request for a na change, and I’m waiting for the paperwork to be approved. I’m planning on sticking to the scheduled tiline."

"What’s the new na?" Chen Cheng inquired.

Wen Shulin gave a mysterious smile, "I can’t tell you now, you’ll know when the official announcent is made."

Chen Cheng playfully stroked her nose, "Still keeping in suspense."

Wen Shulin, hand in arm, continued forward, "You’ll find out when it opens."

"I still rember what you promised ..."

Wen Shulin gave him a coquettish look, "I haven’t forgotten. Don’t worry, I keep my word."

"Why are you in such a hurry?" she asked with a smile, "Looking forward to experiencing it?"

Chen Cheng’s lips curled up, "I can hardly wait to press you down on that table right now."

"You’re becoming more and more straightforward." Wen Shulin flirtatiously tossed her hair, "But, I like it."

"You’re getting more direct too."

"A man should have so guts, to be able to make a woman convinced, no matter where you are." Wen Shulin provocatively said, "Isn’t that right?"

Chen Cheng took up the banter, jokingly saying, "So, right here?"

"You’re nuts~" Wen Shulin hit his chest lightly.

They looked at each other and smiled, continuing their leisurely walk in the park.

The winter sun shone on them, warm and comforting, just like their mood at that mont.

anwhile.

After arriving at Miles Restaurant, i Xiang and Su Liya found a corner to sit down in.

They ordered so fries, hot dogs, and milkshakes, and got down to the serious business of finishing the conversation that they hadn’t in the car.

"Li Ya, I don’t think your plan will work."

i Xiang was the first to object, "You want to ask Brother Cheng out, then blindfold him, and for you to appear... this..."

Based on her understanding of Chen Cheng, "He doesn’t like this kind of thing, he’ll get angry."
