Chapter 333: Chapter 213: Both You and I Have a Bright Future_3

Tong Jialu looked down at the two butterflies on her chest, gently caressing them.

She looked up again and unconsciously placed her hands on the buttons of Chen Cheng’s shirt, “Shall we start now?”

“It’s too late today, I need to go back,” said Chen Cheng, pointing to the cake beside him, “Make a wish.”

Tong Jialu nodded repeatedly and brought over the cake she had prepared earlier.

She inserted the candles, lit them up, and turned to Chen Cheng, “Brother Cheng, do you have any wishes?”

Chen Cheng: “You want to make a wish on your birthday?”

“Of course!” Tong Jialu said playfully, batting her eyelids, “Tell , and I’ll make it co true.”

Chen Cheng looked into Tong Jialu’s lively eyes, felt warmth in his heart, and smiled, “My wish is simple, I wish for you to be happy every day, without any worries.”

Hearing Chen Cheng’s words, Tong Jialu’s heart fluttered more than ever.

Her gaze shifted, and she asked with a hint of shyness, “Is that the only wish?”

Looking at her charming deanor, Chen Cheng reached out and lightly pinched her nose with a tone of indulgence:

“Greedy, aren’t you? Go on, what other wishes do you have?”

Tong Jialu saw that Chen Cheng was not angry but instead was spoiling her, which gave her more courage.

She took a step forward, almost pressing up against Chen Cheng, and whispered like a soft breeze, “My wish is for Brother Cheng to be happy every day as well, and…”

She intentionally paused, then tiptoed and whispered in Chen Cheng’s ear, “I hope Brother Cheng will co to see often in the future.”

Chen Cheng: “Alright, make a wish quickly, or the candles will burn out soon.”

Tong Jialu nodded, closed her eyes, clasped her hands, and silently made the wish she had just shared with Chen Cheng.

After blowing out the candles, Tong Jialu picked up the cake knife, cut a slice, and handed it to Chen Cheng, “The first slice is for you.”

Chen Cheng looked at the cake brought to his lips and also saw Tong Jialu’s expectant eyes, so he opened his mouth and ate it.

“Is it good?” asked Tong Jialu eagerly.

“It’s good but…”

“What’s wrong?”

“It’s not as sweet as you.”

Tong Jialu bit her lower lip gently, took a bite of cake into her mouth, and offered it up.

While mumbling, “Brother Cheng, can I wait for you tonight? No matter how late, I want to wait for you.”

Returning to Xiao ier’s private room, Chen Cheng smiled, “I’m back, just dealt with sothing.”

He took his seat again and was thankful that Tong Jialu did not like to wear perfu as Xia Yubing did, which made it less likely for others to suspect anything.

Xiao ier: “Shall we order sothing warm?”

Looking at the abalone sauce braised fish maw in front of him that hadn’t been touched, Chen Cheng said with a smile, “Let’s have this, and not waste it.”

“Dacheng, co on!” Feng Biao also picked up his glass, “We have to drink this belated toast!”

“Sure!”

“Why don’t you let Dacheng eat sothing first!” Liu Ying chided from the side, “Drinking on an empty stomach, that’s bad for the stomach!”

Chen Cheng smiled, accepting the glass from Feng Biao, “Okay, Biao Zi, I’ll drink this toast with you, but let’s take it slow, savor it, not gulp it down like cattle, it’s bad for your health.”

“Alright, alright, I’ll listen to you, I’ll listen to you!”

Feng Biao laughed and clinked glasses with Chen Cheng.

Chen Cheng only took a small sip, but he downed a shot in one gulp.

“Why drink like that?” Liu Ying, who hadn’t seen this behavior before, quickly passed a cup of tea to Feng Biao, “We all know each other anyway!”

“Yingzi, I had to finish this drink.”

Feng Biao, who had been holding back all evening, let out a sigh of breath and slowly said, “To be honest, the luckiest thing in my life is eting Dacheng.”

His gaze sincerely turned to Chen Cheng, “Yingzi, do you rember when your dad was hospitalized years ago?”

“I rember, but why bring that up suddenly?” Liu Ying thought Feng Biao had drunk too much.

Chen Cheng knew what he was about to say, “It’s alright, it’s all in the past.”

Feng Biao gestured with his hand, “Back then, I was borrowing money everywhere, but everyone was avoiding .”

“Only Dacheng, without a word, took out all his savings and also helped running errands in the hospital.”

He turned to Liu Ying, “Wife, otherwise where did you think that eighty thousand ca from?”

Liu Ying and Xiao ier were both stunned.

Clearly, even Liu Ying did not know about this.

“From that mont on, I knew I could count on Dacheng as a brother for life!” Feng Biao said, his eyes reddening,

“Now, not only has he made a na for himself, but he’s also leading us to wealth. I, Feng Biao, will forever rember this brotherhood in my heart!”

Liu Ying’s eyes also filled with tears, “Dacheng, I didn’t know about this.”

She poured herself a drink in a fluster, holding the glass with both hands, “Dacheng, this toast is for you, thank you.”

After Liu Ying finished, she drained the glass.

Chen Cheng also raised his glass, “You’re all too courteous. Everyone has tough tis! In my toughest monts, Shu Biao also gave 3000.”

He paused then continued, “In the future, let’s work hard together, fight together, and create our own glory! Cheers!”

“Cheers!”

The three glasses clinked together.

Xiao ier watched Chen Cheng from the side, feeling very moved in her heart.

She knew, Chen Cheng was not only a capable and courageous man but also a trustworthy and loyal good man.

Having ingested the alcohol, if Chen Cheng hadn’t recently had so cake, it would indeed have caused a burning sensation.

Thinking of the fact that Chen Cheng went out to take care of things and likely hadn’t had a chance to eat, Xiao ier picked up a piece of marinated goose and placed it in Chen Cheng’s bowl, softly saying,

“Husband, have so food to ease it.”

Chen Cheng smiled and nodded.

“How is it? The taste is alright, isn’t it?” He asked everyone.
