Chapter 326: Chapter 211: A Man Who Listens to His Wife Will Prosper_2

Wan Ning stood at the door, “Sister, I’m going to head back now.”

“I’ll have Xiao Hai take you.” Xiao ier waved to Chen Donghai and said, “Xiao Hai, could you please take Miss ng.”

Chen Donghai nodded.

“Thank you then.” Wan Ning smiled and said, “I have driving lessons the day after tomorrow, see you.”

“Take care!”

Following Chen Donghai, Wan Ning headed towards the parking lot, while Chen Cheng and Feng Biao also ca out at this ti.

Feng Biao stretched lazily, “Shall we go?”

“Let’s go.”

Patting Feng Biao’s robust shoulder, Chen Cheng said, “Tonight, dinner’s on , order whatever you like.”

“You said it!”

Feng Biao’s eyes lit up, and he turned to Xiao ier saying, “Sister-in-law, did you hear that? Dacheng is treating us tonight, we should really splurge!”

Xiao ier was amused by Feng Biao’s exaggerated tone and responded, “Get going, stop joking around, let’s not delay our business.”

The three of them drove to the first storefront.

On the way, Feng Biao, who was driving, excitedly discussed the dinner plans, ranging from barbecue to seafood buffet, wishing he could bring the entire gourt street to the table.

Chen Cheng shook his head and smiled, letting him ramble. His gaze, however, occasionally drifted outside the window, with thoughts of Wan Ning floating in his mind.

The contrast this ti was different from Xia Tong and others.

Wan Ning was as white as moonlight, pure as water, untouched by the slightest dust of the worldly.

He rembered how her eyes sparkled today at the dinner table when she talked about left-behind children, recalling that gentle look as she bowed her head, as if ti had forever stopped at that mont.

“Xiao Cheng, what are you thinking about?” Xiao ier, sitting in the back, observed Chen Cheng’s distracted state and asked.

“Nothing, I need to stop by the bank later.” Chen Cheng casually replied, “Have we arrived?”

“We’re here, we’re here!”

Feng Biao pointed to a roadside shop, “According to your request, the first shop located ten minutes on foot and two minutes by car from Wanbao Hall is right here.”

Snapping back to reality, Chen Cheng turned his gaze towards the window.

The indicated storefront was located at a street corner, indeed a good location.

“Let’s check it out.” Chen Cheng said as he pushed the car door open.

The shop appeared larger than expected, probably spanning about forty square ters.

The real estate agent was already waiting by the roadside and hurried over when he saw Chen Cheng alight from the car.

“Mr. Chen, Mr. Biao.”

Clutching his bag, Feng Biao asked, “Is this the place?”

“Yes, yes, yes!” The agent hurriedly responded, “This is the first one!”

Following the agent, the trio walked to the roller shutter, while the agent spoke:

“This shop has been vacant for a while. It was previously a clothing store that went out of business due to poor managent.”

The roller shutter rattled up.

As it rose, Chen Cheng too observed the interior.

A wave of stale, musty air mixed with a bit of dust hit them.

The shop was dimly lit, with a faint musty sll lingering in the air, as if it had been neglected for a long ti.

The shop was not very large; with a depth of about seven to eight ters and a width of about five ters, it had the typical layout of a roadside store.

Leftover wallpaper clung to the walls, faintly revealing remnants of the forr clothing store.

A corner was piled with assorted items, covered with a layer of dust.

Xiao ier fanned the dust in front of her and frowned slightly; this place felt even more suffocating than Wanbao Hall had a month ago.

“Definitely need a renovation.”

Chen Cheng wasn’t too worried, he walked straight into the shop, scanning around, “Once the UI and other designs are ready, we’ll have the designers co over to check the layout.”

Xiao ier was also evaluating, but she was more concerned about the rent.

“How much is the rent for this shop?” She asked directly.

The agent was prepared, imdiately responding, “This shop has a good location; the rent is twenty-three thousand a month.”

“That expensive?” Xiao ier had experience running a noodle shop and naturally knew that this kind of shop couldn’t be worth that much.

Chen Cheng was silent; he returned to the storefront entrance and watched the bustling crowd, silently calculating.

“Can it be cheaper?”

Xiao ier started to negotiate with the agent, “Look, this shop has been vacant for so long, and we still need to renovate it. Could you give us so discount?”

The agent looked uneasy, “This… the price is set by the landlord, I can’t make that decision.”

“How about this.”

Chen Cheng turned and said, “Call the landlord, one hundred and twenty thousand, I’ll rent it.”

“Mr. Chen, you can’t just slash the price in half right away!” The agent said awkwardly, “The landlord definitely won’t agree with this price.”

Chen Cheng smiled, pointing inside and said, “Look at this environnt, this location, to be honest, one hundred and twenty thousand is already considering that we know each other.”

“And I still need to renovate, which is another significant expense.”

Chen Cheng continued, “How about this, tell the landlord, if he agrees, we sign the contract today, leasing for a minimum of two years, how about that?”

Hearing about a two-year lease, the agent was montarily tempted.

It’s tough to find long-term and stable tenants in today’s competitive rental market, especially since Chen Cheng’s offer was indeed an average price for the area.

“Alright, I’ll try.”

The agent hesitated but agreed, “But I can’t guarantee the landlord will agree.”

“That’s fine, do what you can.”

Chen Cheng stated, “If the landlord really doesn’t want to, we’ll look at other options.”

The agent nodded, walked aside, and dialed the landlord’s number to start the bargaining.

Feng Biao pulled Chen Cheng aside and whispered, “Man, aren’t you being a bit too generous? Renting for two years straight?”

He continued, “You’re just starting out; if the milk tea shop runs at a loss, what will you do with all these premises?”

Chen Cheng smiled, “Do you not trust , or do you not trust Wen Shulin?”
