Chapter 321: Chapter 209: Conditions of Exchange

Alina’s gaze fell on Chen Cheng’s mobile phone, her breathing becoming rapid.

She clearly knew what “docunts” Chen Cheng was referring to.

Those docunts were her eternal pain and the secret she had always kept.

The death investigation report of Piert was sothing she had suppressed at a great cost.

If it were to be exposed by the dia, it would not only cause a devastating blow to her personal reputation but could even shake her status in CGG.

A bigger disaster would be the plumting stock prices of CGG, leading to turmoil.

“You… how do you have this?”

Alina’s voice trembled, looking at Chen Cheng incredulously as if she was looking at a well-dressed demon from hell.

Chen Cheng did not answer her question but simply smiled slightly and said, “Ms. Alina, now, can we have a proper talk?”

Alina’s face turned as pale as paper.

She settled back into her chair, looking at Chen Cheng with eyes filled with anger and despair.

“Speak, what exactly do you want?”

Chen Cheng gave Wen Shulin a look, and Wen Shulin spoke.

“First, Beijing CGG will disaffiliate from the parent company and beco an independent entity after this fiscal year.”

That was when Alina realized Chen Cheng’s 4 billion that morning was nothing compared to this, it wasn’t worth ntioning at all.

“Second…”

Before Wen Shulin could finish, Alina raised her hand to interrupt her, “Impossible, that’s not possible.”

She scrutinized them both, “Don’t think you can use this to threaten , I will absolutely not agree to your terms!”

“Compared to losing Beijing CGG, I’d rather face the market turbulence!” Alina said through gritted teeth.

Chen Cheng, unhurried, slid his phone screen again, “Ms. Alina, why don’t you have a look at this docunt first, then you can make a decision.”

Alina took the phone with a puzzled look, her eyes fell on the docunt title on the screen, and her pupils dilated, her face turning even paler.

What Chen Cheng showed was precisely Piert’s psychological assessnt report.

This report was one Alina had soone forge back then.

If exposed, not only would Piert’s death be reinvestigated, but she could even face prison for falsifying docunts and obstructing justice.

Alina’s fingers trembled, she incredulously looked at Chen Cheng, “You… how do you have this?”

Chen Cheng: “Not only do I have this, I also know that the psychiatrist Brad who issued this report for you was arrested ten years ago due to tax issues with his office.”

He paused, “If I send these two pieces of evidence to your country’s relevant departnts, guess if Brad will implicate you as his bargaining chip for a reduced sentence?”

Chen Cheng’s words were like a thunderclap exploding next to Alina’s ear.

The mobile phone in her hand felt like a red-hot iron burning her palm.

“Chen Cheng, I…”

Alina’s voice trembled, she finally realized she had completely underestimated Chen Cheng.

This man was much more terrifying than she imagined.

She made so concessions, her gaze also fell upon Wen Shulin’s face,

“I know you’re doing this for this woman.”

She took a deep breath, “Let’s make an exchange, give your things, and I’ll give you mine.”

“From now onwards, Wen Shulin will still be the director of Beijing CGG, and none of her benefits will change.”

Chen Cheng smiled, “What about Su Liya? Will you acknowledge the trust fund she was supposed to receive?”

“Do you also know about that?”

Chen Cheng for the third ti pulled out the dividend details of the Piert Foundation, “I am very clear about all matters.”

After a mont of silence, Alina conceded again, “Fine, I agree. Wen Shulin’s daughter can have her portion of the trust.”

Wen Shulin, hearing this, shook her head.

“I don’t want that, I only want Beijing CGG.”

“That’s impossible.”

Alina thought she had offered the most generous terms she could, firmly rejecting, “You’re as greedy as you were when you were young.”

“Ms. Alina, please swipe the screen just once more, just a quick swipe.”

Alina with a mixture of doubt and belief swiped the phone screen again.

Seeing the video on the phone, her face instantly turned ghostly white, her grip tightening on the phone as if to shatter it.

She certainly recognized this video; it was the surveillance from Piert’s study.

And the man with an unknown identity next to Chen Cheng and Wen Shulin, was Alina’s secret lover and the current CEO of CGG’s Yangcheng branch, Hans.

Chen Cheng spoke steadily: “Ms. Alina, I don’t care about your relationship with the person in this video.”

“But I’m very clear, if I send this video to your police, I think they will reinvestigate.”

“Or perhaps, will they suspect that you and this gentleman conspired to murder Piert?”

Alina was completely silent, knowing she had completely lost.

This video was her last card and also her biggest secret.

Now that even this secret was in Chen Cheng’s hands, she had no more bargaining chips to negotiate with Chen Cheng.

She put down the phone, scrutinizing them both again, saying:

“I think we can talk.”

Alina then turned to Wen Shulin, “What’s the second condition?”

Wen Shulin spoke, “After Beijing CGG separates from its parent company, all mbers stationed here by the headquarters are to be recalled imdiately.”

Alina understood that Wen Shulin wanted full control.

But a businessperson is still a businessperson, at this mont, she was fighting for her own interests.

“Let’s talk about the first point.” Alina spoke, “You can take Beijing CGG.”
