ng Wanning did not notice the undercurrents between the two, she simply nodded lightly, and said to Wen Shulin, “Hello, my na is ng Wanning.”
“Hello, I am Wen Shulin.”
Wen Shulin responded politely, but her gaze still lingered on Chen Cheng, as if waiting for his further explanation.
Chen Cheng added, “That day I went to see Mr. Jin, and it so happened that Xiao ng was performing an opera in the back garden.”
Wen Shulin nodded, her tone revealing no emotion, “It seems Mr. Chen and Miss ng really are fated.”
ng Wanning was puzzled by the interactions between the two.
