“Mr. Chen, what is the purpose of your acquisition of shares in Xingye Products? What advantages of Xingye Products attracted you?”
“Miss Xingye, what are your expectations for this collaboration? What strategic adjustnts will Xingye Products have in the future?”
“Mr. Chen, what plans do you have for the future developnt of Xingye Products?”
Facing the barrage of questions from journalists, Chen Cheng always maintained a calm and composed smile.
Xia Yubing was not convenient to appear on cara, so the translation was naturally done by Hoshino Mika.
After she ticulously relayed the main questions to Chen Cheng, he responded, “My acquisition of shares in Xingye Products wasn’t a spur-of-the-mont decision, but one made after careful consideration.”
“I am very optimistic about the leading position and developnt potential of Xingye Products in banking and mineral industries, and I believe our collaboration will achieve mutual benefits.”
Chen Cheng continued, “Xingye Products has a long history and mature technology, while I possess strong capital and a broad market.”
“I believe that by complenting each other’s strengths, we can certainly create even more dazzling achievents!”
Chen Cheng’s words were powerful and confident, filled with passion, and won a round of warm applause from the audience.
Hoshino Mika translated Chen Cheng’s statents, and while doing so, glanced at the man beside her, understanding that from this mont on, Xingye Products was turning a new chapter, and her life was also approaching a new turning point.
Looking toward the far end of the crowd, Xia Yubing and Tong Jialu were both watching the spirited Chen Cheng, their eyes filled with pride and love.
Despite knowing that Chen Cheng’s status and position were no longer the sa as before, his promises to them were still inscribed in their hearts, like the ring on their toes, unseen yet profoundly significant.
“Sis, Brother Cheng looks so handso,” Tong Jialu tugged Xia Yubing’s arm and whispered.
Xia Yubing watched Chen Cheng radiating charm on stage, and couldn’t help but let a tender smile spread across her lips.
“Yes,” she softly replied, “he really is amazing.”
Tong Jialu sighed softly, “Just that…”
“What’s wrong?” asked Xia Yubing.
“We won’t have Brother Cheng by our side for the next few days…”
Xia Yubing said, “Didn’t hubby tell us? He asked us to wait for him to co back to Tokyo.”
Tong Jialu nodded, “If only we could go to Gunma Prefecture with him.”
“We should give i Xiang so space, right?” Xia Yubing pulled Tong Jialu’s hand, “Let’s just wait patiently! He won’t forget about us.”
…
…
That afternoon, a yellow Volkswagen Beetle appeared on the streets of Gunma Prefecture.
Since Chen Cheng didn’t have an international driving license, it was i Xiang who drove. Now devoid of her morning’s business attire, she was dressed in a JK uniform, with a bun hairstyle and so stray hair playfully hanging on her smooth forehead, adding to her youthful beauty.
And i Xiang wished to take him to see where she grew up before he returned ho.
“I lived here for fifteen years before moving to Tokyo.”
“Brother Cheng, let take you to my ancestral ho first! It’s up in the mountains, the scenery there is beautiful, and the air is very fresh.”
Chen Cheng gladly agreed, knowing her thoughts, and recognizing it as her way of expressing her emotions.
The Beetle climbed up the mountain.
The gleam in i Xiang’s eyes grew deeper.
“Brother Cheng, look, that’s our rice field! In a little while, it will turn golden! The rice is sweet and sticky, really delicious!”
Chen Cheng nodded with a smile, watching Hoshino Mika’s exuberant deanor, he chuckled and asked, “So, should I co back when the rice is ripe?”
“Yes! No, wait! You can co anyti!” i Xiang turned her head and chuckled.
The mountain road twisted and turned, the trees on either side becoming denser.
The sunlight stread through the gaps in the leaves, casting mottled shadows on the car window.
Gentle music played inside the car, occasionally interspersed with i Xiang’s introductions, creating a warm and beautiful atmosphere.
“Just past that curve up ahead, and we’ll be there,” i Xiang pointed forward with a hint of excitent and anticipation in her tone.
Following her pointing finger, Chen Cheng saw a quaint and elegant Japanese courtyard appearing ahead.
At the entrance was a maid sweeping fallen leaves.
“This yard is much bigger than your ho in Tokyo,” Chen Cheng remarked.
“Yes! It’s big!” i Xiang parked the car at the entrance of the courtyard, her tone carrying a hint of pride, “This is where I grew up, and where I lived with my mother.”
Saying that, she got out of the car.
Chen Cheng also got out and stretched lazily.
Unexpectedly, i Xiang didn’t lead Chen Cheng inside, instead, she took a picnic basket from the trunk and slung it over her arm.
She glanced at the ti and then at the sky, “We still have ti! Let’s hurry!”
“Where to?”
Extending her hand toward Chen Cheng with a mysterious and brilliant smile, i Xiang said, “Brother Cheng, just follow !”
Chen Cheng looked into her sparkling eyes, grabbed her hand, and let her pull him along, walking up the path beside the courtyard.
“Brother Cheng, do you know? I’ve been waiting for this day for a long ti!”
Chen Cheng asked with a smile, “A long ti? How long is that?”
“The first ti, when I t you at the horse track!” Hoshino Mika turned her head back, smiling.
