Chapter 987: Chapter 987: Qin Yingjun Was Discharged from the Hospital
Normal people with a fever this high should have died long ago.
But Guo Xuwen is like the frog being boiled in warm water, suffering inside and out, as if he will only die when his body is thoroughly cooked. For now, strangely, he’s still holding onto life.
The doctors are all shocked and can’t explain this phenonon, but they all know, if this continues, Guo Xuwen won’t make it through the day.
Upon hearing this, Su Lifan nearly fainted.
Guo Ji’s face turned ashen, and he urgently stepped forward, grasping the doctor’s hands, “Doctor, is there really no other way? I have only two children, I’ve already lost one, if I lose this one too, I won’t be able to live! And he’s so young, we can’t let him die!”
The doctor, too, looked helpless, “It’s not that we don’t want to help, but any patient who cos to the hospital, we as doctors want them to recover and leave healthy. But the patient’s current condition, we’ve never seen anything like it. None of the doctors we’ve consulted know what to do. Perhaps, you could try transferring to another hospital? However, the hope of being cured after a transfer is slim, so it’s best to prepare yourselves ntally.”
Guo Ji leaned backward upon hearing this.
The doctors and nurses around saw this and scrambled to catch him, causing a bit of chaos.
Su Lifan saw this scene, leaned against the wall, slowly sat on the ground, and began to cry.
On the other side.
Jiangli and Master Wu sat in a side hall, while Fu’er and Xia Xin explained to Master Wu so of the routine considerations involved in receiving pilgrims at Jiaoyang Temple.
Master Wu was listening attentively.
Suddenly, Xia Xin heard a knock at the door.
Because the Guo Xuwen family had co earlier in the morning, they hadn’t opened the temple gates today, deciding to take the day off to let Master Wu familiarize himself with Jiaoyang Temple’s ins and outs.
It was strange for soone to knock now.
Xia Xin stood up and said, “Ancestor, I’ll go take a look.”
Jiangli waved his hand, focused on his phone, watching a cartoon.
Xia Xin shrugged helplessly, stepped out, and opened the door. Standing outside was soone familiar.
Xia Xin initially thought it might be the Guo Xuwen family returning.
Unexpectedly, the person standing outside was Qin Yingjun.
Surprised, Xia Xin remarked, “Mr. Qin, you’ve been discharged?”
Qin Yingjun’s face was still pale, showing so weakness, and he smiled at the comnt, “Yes, discharged yesterday afternoon, and thought I’d co by today. Is the Abbot in?”
“Yes, co in,” Xia Xin imdiately opened the door wider.
Qin Yingjun stepped inside.
Xia Xin closed the door and followed behind Qin Yingjun.
Qin Yingjun seed still unwell, his steps were slow, “Why is the main gate closed today?”
Xia Xin: “There was an issue this morning, didn’t get a chance to open it.”
Qin Yingjun acknowledged, “A rest day is nice.”
Xia Xin smiled, “By the way, what brings you here so early, Mr. Qin?”
Qin Yingjun: “Since I got discharged, and considering the trouble I’ve caused you, I wanted to co say thank you and brought so gifts along, they’ll be delivered shortly.”
Surprised, Xia Xin replied, “Gifts? Mr. Qin, you’re too kind. It was our duty to help as we were compensated for our services.”
“They’re not worth much, just small tokens. I ca ahead, and the delivery is on its way, you’ll see soon.” Qin Yingjun forced a smile, no longer carrying his previous carefree deanor. The past incidents seed to have matured him significantly.
Xia Xin, hearing this, said nothing more and led Qin Yingjun into the side hall.
