Just as he was about to head straight to the kitchen, a sound drew Fu’er out from the side hall.
He looked serious as he quickly walked up to Jiangli, “Old Master.”

Fu’er glanced toward the side hall, stepped closer, and whispered, “The president of the Xuann Association, Master Qu Lin, has arrived.”
Both Jiangli and Xia Xin, along with Master Wu, heard this.
Xia Xin and Master Wu were taken aback.
Jiangli was also a bit surprised, “What are they doing here at this ti?”
“They’ve been here for a while. They didn’t specify why, just said they wanted to et you, Old Master.” Fu’er frowned.
Jiangli clicked his tongue, “Didn’t you tell them I wasn’t here?”
Fu’er quickly replied, “Of course I did. I said you weren’t here, Old Master, and we didn’t know when you’d return, asking them to co another day. But they wouldn’t listen, insisting on waiting for you here. I couldn’t just throw them out!”
Not daring to directly turn them away, yet worried about them staying on and potentially causing problems for Jiaoyang Temple, Fu’er had already closed the doors, not receiving any pilgrims.

Jiangli and Xia Xin looked up to see Bai Changfeng coming out of the side hall, smiling as if he was a good friend.
Jiangli’s expression turned indifferent, turning to Xia Xin, “Xia Xin, go prepare the al. I want hot pot. We’ll have hot pot after we send the guests off.”
Xia Xin: “…”
At a ti like this, Old Master, you’re still thinking about food!
“Abbot, that’s not quite fair. We guests are still here, and such a wonderful thing as hot pot should naturally include us.” Bai Changfeng approached with a smile, clasping his fist toward Jiangli, “It was wrong of us to intrude without permission, and I apologize to the Abbot first. He was just being polite.
