Jiangli glanced around and asked, "Is this the village chief’s house?"

Xia Xin was peering inside, "It should be. Let go and ask—"

Jiangli nodded.

Xia Xin ran up the stairs, and just as he reached the door and was about to knock, it was opened from the inside.

A woman in traditional attire appeared, around fifty-sothing, with a touch of grey at her temples, but perhaps because she had lived in such a good environnt for years, her skin didn’t show much aging, without many wrinkles. Her eyes were large but lacked brightness.

They appeared grayish, and her otherwise youthful face had a hint of an ageing deanor.

Upon seeing Xia Xin, she was montarily stunned, as if startled.

Xia Xin quickly greeted her, "Hello, we are tourists from outside. We heard that the village chief’s house offers lodging. May I ask, is this the village chief’s house?"

The woman glanced at him, then at the group below the steps. Her gaze fell on Jiangli, and she frowned, her expression sowhat peculiar.

Jiangli lifted his eyes to et hers.

She quickly averted her gaze and made way, "Yes, my husband is the village chief. Please, co in."

Xia Xin thanked her, then turned to beckon Jiangli and the others.

Jiangli and Fu Shiyan stepped forward simultaneously.

Seeing them, the woman quickly turned around and entered first.

Jiangli frowned slightly, and alongside Fu Shiyan, followed her into the village chief’s house.

Once inside, they realized it was not just the village chief’s residence but also a sort of farmhouse inn.

The two rows of small buildings behind were connected to the front one through stairways and paths, clearly intended for guest lodging.

And Jiangli, Fu Shiyan, and the others were not the first group of tourists.

As they entered, they saw a few people standing at the counter.

Each was fully equipped.

They seed to be tourists as well.

Registering at the counter.

There were five people in total, both n and won.

But sweeping his eyes over them, Jiangli narrowed his eyes slightly.

At that mont, Qing Yue clicked his tongue softly.

The group was standing close together, so even though he wasn’t loud, everyone heard him.

Duan Jianchuan, thinking he was acting up again, frowned and asked, "What do you want to do?"

Qing Yue smiled enigmatically, "Do you see those people?"

Duan Jianchuan had certainly seen them, "They should be tourists. What’s the problem?"

Qing Yue snorted, "These people are not just ordinary tourists."

Duan Jianchuan and the nearby Xia Xin, Yan Guofeng, and others imdiately turned their attention to Qing Yue.

Duan Jianchuan asked, "What are you trying to say?"

Qing Yue didn’t answer imdiately but instead smiled at Jiangli, "Abbot, I think you’ve noticed too, haven’t you?"

Jiangli said blankly, "They should all be from the Unusual Affairs Managent Office."

Qing Yue snapped his fingers, "Bingo, the abbot is always sharp."

Xia Xin looked puzzled, "The Unusual Affairs Managent Office? How did you tell?"

Jiangli cast him a aningful look.

Xia Xin’s scalp tingled.

Qing Yue leisurely explained to him, "These people all have spiritual energy. Coming here as a group, they definitely aren’t here for tourism."

Xia Xin: "Why not for tourism?"

Qing Yue clicked his tongue, "Why are you here?"

Xia Xin: "..."

Qing Yue continued, "The reason you’re here, and they’re here at the sa ti. Do you really think it’s a coincidence? The world is vast with countless scenic spots. Is such a coincidence possible? Even if we take a very generous view and consider it a coincidence, just look at their solemn expressions. Do they look like they’re here for tourism?"
