Chapter 862: Chapter 862: Qin Yingjun Suddenly Faints
Qin Yingjun took Xia Xin out for a al, but Qin Yongfu and the others didn’t follow.
The whole family had no appetite now.
Only Qin Yingjun and Xia Xin went out to eat a little bit.
But both Xia Xin and Qin Yingjun had things on their minds, so they only took a few bites before returning.
Not long after they ca back, they prepared to start handling Wen Mao’s funeral arrangents.
Close relatives had all arrived.
Because of Xia Xin’s presence, they didn’t invite a master of ceremonies from the funeral ho; instead, Xia Xin helped host and perform the rites.
Xia Xin changed into ceremonial clothing, looking very much like a real master.
Seeing his attire, the people present felt a bit more respect for Xia Xin.
Standing above, Xia Xin presided over the rituals, inviting family mbers and relatives to co up one by one to see Wen Mao for the last ti.
After arriving here, Xia Xin had only seen Wen Mao’s body during the setup of the ceremony.
Lying in the coffin, his face was deathly pale, and he had been changed into a dignified suit instead of traditional burial clothes.
He didn’t look that frightening.
But Xia Xin hadn’t seen Wen Mao’s spirit here.
Logically, Wen Mao shouldn’t have checked into Fengdu yet, since he hadn’t been dead for three days.
But it wasn’t impossible for so souls to get to Fengdu faster.
Xia Xin didn’t think too much about it.
After waiting for the family mbers to each say their goodbyes, Xia Xin picked up the Peach Wood Sword and stepped to the incense table, holding the sword in one hand and a Talisman in the other, chanting, performing a ceremony to help Wen Mao’s spirit move on.
Wen Mao’s relatives sat in the hall seats below, heads bowed, silently praying and hoping for Wen Mao’s smooth reincarnation.
Qin Yingjun sat beside his parents, also bowing his head, praying devoutly for Wen Mao.
As Xia Xin chanted the Rebirth Mantra, the lights in the hall suddenly began to flicker, the buzzing of electricity filling everyone’s ears.
Everyone imdiately looked up.
“Why are the lights flickering…”
“Funeral hos at night are a bit scary!”
“I heard Wen Mao died a violent death, and he was so young. Maybe he doesn’t want to leave?”
A few relatives whispered among themselves.
Qin Yongfu and the others looked uneasy as well.
Qin Yongfu stood up and said sternly, “There’s no such thing as supernatural events. Even if there were, we have a master here. What are you talking about? I think it’s just a wiring problem. I’ll get soone to change the light.”
Hearing Qin Yongfu’s words, Xia Xin glanced at the flickering lights and felt a chill run through him. He was just about to comfort everyone, to follow up on what Qin Yongfu said.
Just then, Qin Yingjun’s body suddenly fell to the ground with a thud, and he began to convulse.
“Yingjun, Yingjun, what’s happening?!”
Qin Yingjun’s mother, Ou Lan, imdiately rushed over, trying to help him up.
Everyone’s attention instantly shifted to Qin Yingjun.
“What’s going on so suddenly?”
Wen Renting also ca over.
Qin Yongfu and Qin Man gathered around too.
Seeing this, Xia Xin quickly walked over, catching Wen Renting from the corner of his eye.
He suddenly noticed that the Yin energy on Wen Renting’s body had dissipated significantly. Moreover, his previously dull eyes were now much brighter, as if… soone who had been possessed had suddenly regained consciousness.
Goosebumps rose all over Xia Xin’s body.
He turned sharply to look at Qin Yingjun.
“Yingjun, Yingjun, wake up. Don’t scare mommy. Are you okay? Yingjun?”
Ou Lan was already holding Qin Yingjun in her arms, tears welling up in her eyes. She desperately shouted at Qin Yongfu, “Husband, call an ambulance, quickly!”
