Chapter 188: Chapter 188: The Ancestor and Fu Shiyan’s Voice Call Chapter 188: Chapter 188: The Ancestor and Fu Shiyan’s Voice Call Jiangli lost her phone, and the TV hadn’t arrived, so she imdiately felt bored, “Xia Xin, do we really have to wait an hour for this?”
eting her eager gaze, Xia Xin instantly realized, “Ancestor, are you feeling bored? Don’t worry, just wait for a mont!”
He quickly set down his phone, ran to his room, took out his laptop, and handed it to Jiangli.
This was the one the old Taoist had saved up to buy for him with a student discount when he was in college.
Xia Xin always took good care of it, so even after three years of use, the laptop didn’t look old and was still about eighty percent new.
Xia Xin handed the laptop to Jiangli, turned it on for her, logged into WeChat on the computer, and set up a few gas for her to play.
Then, he went to get busy with other things.
Seeing him glued to his phone by the bed, Jiangli pursed her lips; she couldn’t just sit idly either.
After so thought, she went into WeChat to find Fu Shiyan.
She wasn’t good at typing on the phone, and she was even worse with the computer.
Seeing Fu Shiyan’s na, Jiangli couldn’t bring herself to start typing and could only ask Xia Xin again, “Xia Xin, I want to chat with Mr. Fu, but I don’t know how to type.”
Xia Xin paused for a mont and ca over, clicking on a small key, “Ancestor, you can press this to make a voice call. I have a headset and a microphone here. As long as Mr. Fu answers, you can just talk to him directly!”
Elsewhere.
Fu Shiyan had just finished showering and ca out when he heard a faint ring from his phone.
He walked over and saw it was a voice call from Jiangli.
Fu Shiyan raised his brows slightly and clicked to answer.
The next second, Jiangli’s sowhat small, tentative voice ca through, “…is this connected now?”
Fu Shiyan chuckled, “Abbot Jiangli?”
Jiangli, hearing his voice, was taken aback.
Fu Shiyan’s voice sounded even nicer than usual, deeper, and seed to have a hint of warm moisture in it.
Jiangli blinked quickly and cleared her throat, “Is that you, Mr. Fu?”
Fu Shiyan sat down at the edge of his bed, continued to dry his dripping hair, put the phone on the nightstand, and switched on the speaker, “Yes, it’s quite late, Abbot. What makes you call at this hour?”
Jiangli got straight to the point, “I’m sorry to disturb Mr. Fu at such a late hour, but I have a matter and I really have no other choice. I’d like to ask for Mr. Fu’s help, if you wouldn’t mind lending a hand?”
Fu Shiyan listened to her polite voice and smiled faintly, “You don’t have to be so formal with , Abbot. Just tell what you need.”
Heartened by his response, Jiangli was even less reserved, “Well, there’s nothing else, I just want to ask for a favor from soone Mr. Fu knows in the Governor’s Office—oh wait, you call them police, right? Yes, I need the police to help look for soone.”
You call them police?
Fu Shiyan paused in drying his hair, slightly squinting his eyes, but he didn’t expose Jiangli, “Who are you looking for?”
“Lin Yurong,” Jiangli said, “I only know her na. I have seen her before, but only I have seen her.”
Fu Shiyan asked, “Can you describe what she looks like?”
Rembering Lin Yurong’s appearance, Jiangli replied, “Fair and pretty?”
After saying that, she even laughed at herself.
That was hardly a description.
Fu Shiyan also laughed lightly, “Fair and pretty girls nad Lin Yurong, there are probably quite a few.”
“…that’s true.” Jiangli laughed awkwardly, “How about this, Mr. Fu, I’ll draw a picture of what Lin Yurong looks like and send it to you later. Would that make it easier to find her?”
Fu Shiyan raised his eyebrow but didn’t comnt, rely asking, “Is there any other information?”
