She did not understand why things turned out this way.
In the midst of chaos, Ying Ming stepped forward, willing to use his own rits to offset the sins on her.
Father God remained silent for a long while, but did not refuse.
However, her murders were too nurous, and Father God still wanted to punish her, thus he sentenced her to confinent in Beihai, to constantly reflect on her wrongdoings.
Her imprisonnt in Beihai was still sothing Ying Ming fought for on her behalf.
Father God likely thought that water and fire don’t mix, and that confinent in Beihai was a good thing, so he agreed.
5: Imprisonnt.
During her three-thousand-year imprisonnt in Beihai, Ying Ming could not find peace. The drought had not yet subsided, and to redeem her, Ying Ming journeyed throughout the lands for years.
Whenever he could spare ti, he would co to Beihai to see her.
But those three thousand years were truly too long.
During that ti, she realized that not being alive nor dead was also a punishnt.
She often sat by the edge of Beihai, waiting for Ying Ming to visit her. At that ti, she found an ugly stone by the sea.
Ying Ming instructed the Earth God, who was sent to care for her, to see that she kept the stone by her side and told her two sentences.
"A stone is sothing without a heart; no matter how you hold it, it won’t warm; it cannot be enlightened, destined to be a dead object."
"This stone is unusually ugly, but rely an ordinary stone; if Your Highness wants a companion, it’s better to choose a living creature from the water."
She did not think so.
The stone could not be ward and was destined to be a dead thing, but she insisted on enlightening it.
The stone was ugly, but she deliberately gave it a na, called Tianxuan, aning the star Xuanji in the sky.
She refused to acknowledge the reasoning of the world.
Later, when Ying Ming returned to see her and saw her nurturing a stone, he did not say anything but instead helped her take care of the stone.
6: Questioning.
On the day the three-thousand-year punishnt period ended, Ying Ming was making rain in the south. Before he left, he instructed the Earth God to take good care of her.
But how could the Earth God possibly keep an eye on her?
As soon as the era of confinent was over, and the shackles disappeared, she rushed to Huaqing Palace, wanting justice from Father God and Mother God, seeking clarity.
Father God and Mother God, along with all the deities of Huaqing Palace, were all accusing her, asserting that she hadn’t repented, didn’t know remorse, and aid at Heavenly Dao.
Father God further blad her, saying that as their daughter she should not resent her parents.
Others said that it was originally her sin, and punishnt is what she deserved.
She admitted she deserved it; she only wanted to ask if Father God and Mother God ever had a mont of compassion for their daughter.
Yet all she received was the rebuke from Father God.
It was then she realized that not every child is born with their parents’ anticipation.
It was also then she understood that there was no such thing as status being noble or not.
To outsiders, she might be revered as a Celestial Maiden, yet behind her back, she could still be disregarded like the dirt beneath one’s feet.
Unable to control herself, she erupted again, wanting to overturn the heavens.
However... she was suppressed by Father God and Mother God, along with other deities together.
How could she be their match?
Outraged, Father God wanted to strip her Spiritual Bone, dissolve her Spiritual Power, and remove her divinity.
Just as the punishnt was about to begin, Ying Ming arrived.
It was the first ti she saw Ying Ming angry, fighting against the executing deities.
Those people were not Ying Ming’s match.
Ying Ming had many followers among the people, his divine power was strong, even overshadows Father God and Mother God.
However, she knew that Ying Ming had always been a gentle person.
Having saved her, facing the approaching Father God and Mother God, Ying Ming knelt to receive his punishnt, saying that as the Celestial Maiden’s master, her disrespect was his fault, willing to be punished and plead them to spare the Celestial Maiden.
It was also that ti that she saw Ying Ming, typically composed, covered in fresh blood.
Father God agreed to Ying Ming’s request, diminishing half of Ying Ming’s divine power, and sentenced him to receive eighty-one lashes from the divine whip.
Even for deities, enduring three lashes from the divine whip was the maximum.
Ying Ming yet endured eighty-one lashes.
Staring at the blood-drenched Ying Ming, for the first ti she knew the feeling of rash regret.
Ying Ming, nonetheless, staggered over, using his only clean hand, covered her eyes, telling her not to look.
7: Punishnt again.
Father God did not punish her again heavily, nor did he let her go.
Everyone determined she was born with a fiendish look, like an evil spirit, with an unstable Dao-heart, so Father God sentenced her to enter the Taoist Sect to rebuild her Dao-heart.
She was sent to the Taoist Sect in the mortal world, while Ying Ming, due to severe injuries, had to seclude himself.
And she never had the chance to see Ying Ming once.
At the mont before being sent away, Mother God ca to bid farewell, and handed her a long spear.
...
She beca a disciple under Celestial Master Zhang; it was then she truly received her na: Jiangli.
Celestial Master Zhang said: Jiangli, is the pri minister of flowers, and there’s a saying among the people, that a pri minister’s belly can accommodate a boat. He hoped Jiangli could let go of all past matters and no longer dwell on the past, and hoped Jiangli could be an example for people.
She listened to this na and did not refuse, even feeling that it was a good na.
Because, no matter what kind of feeling, to her, it was all about to leave, Jiangli, Jiangli—very good.
8: Taking disciples.
Under Celestial Master Zhang’s na, she changed her na and surnas, appearing no different from common people.
By then, it had been three thousand years since her first punishnt, and the world was completely different.
Quickly, she established Jiaoyang Temple, and Celestial Master Zhang ascended, so she simply created a golden body for him and placed it within Jiaoyang Temple.
From the start, she never intended to take disciples, and was not too close with the disciples under her sect.
But one day, suddenly Tianxuan ca.
Tianxuan, the stone that once accompanied Jiangli, had sohow successfully transford.
A stone originally had no gender, yet he transford into a male.
Jiangli once asked him why.
He said, he thought everything in the world paired up as male and female, and he wanted to always accompany Jiangli.
But his eyes were always clear, without any romantic feelings between male and female.
He just felt it was better to accompany Jiangli this way.
Later, Jiangli for the first ti took in a disciple in front of everyone.
9: Severe injury and separation.
Jiangli and Tianxuan lived two hundred years of peaceful days in Jiaoyang Temple, she thought of Ying Ming every day, wanting to see him, yet had no idea where Ying Ming secluded himself.
And no one would tell her.
All she could do was live her life this way.
But it had been over three thousand years since the first great battle.
At that ti, Father God had no ans to completely eradicate Black Demon, only to seal it.
At an unbeknownst ti, the seal loosened.
As Jiangli and Tianxuan just returned from their assignnts abroad, soone ca to seek help at Jiaoyang Temple.
The reason being that young and promising disciples of several major Xuann families had disappeared.
Missing, with no trace, unable to find a reason.
Xuann families fell into panic.
Jiangli noticed sothing amiss, took Tianxuan with her to investigate the reasons for the disciples’ disappearance, all the way to Mangshan, where Jiangli encountered those who wished to release the Black Demon’s remnants.
A great battle was about to erupt.
Black Demon had erged again, entwined with Jiangli, while during this ti, the remnants severed the Mangshan Dragon Vein.
To aid Jiangli, and also to continue the Dragon Vein, Tianxuan stripped all his Spiritual Bone, renewing the Dragon Vein.
Witnessing this scene, Jiangli nearly lost control, on the verge of losing sanity, she suppressed the Black Demon again, sealed it, but with her remaining power repairing the Sealing Grand Formation was as hard as ascending to heaven.
She could only strip off half of her Spiritual Bone, even then, it was still insufficient.
Just when she was about to strip the remaining half of her Spiritual Bone, Ying Ming sohow ca.
