Jiangli put away her phone and said directly, "Let’s go into the mountain and have a look."

Fu Shiyan nodded slightly.

Jiangli took a step towards the mountain.

Fu Shiyan followed closely behind.

Duan Jianchuan asked their departing backs, "Third Brother, Abbot, what about ?"

"You just wait here, and definitely don’t wander around."

Upon hearing this, Jiangli rembered sothing, turned around, and handed a protective amulet to Duan Jianchuan, instructing him not to wander. Then she entered Dangshan with Fu Shiyan.

Duan Jianchuan understood the current danger as he held the amulet, so he didn’t stay outside for long and soon got into the car, waiting for Jiangli and Fu Shiyan to return.

Following Jiangli, Fu Shiyan moved swiftly as if the wind was beneath their feet, quickly entering the deep mountains.

But along the way, they saw no one, nor did they sense any strange atmosphere.

Fu Shiyan watched Jiangli stride forward and asked, "Where are we planning to go?"

"Back to the cave," Jiangli replied concisely.

Fu Shiyan knew which cave she was referring to and nodded.

They headed straight for the cave they found yesterday.

When they reached the cave entrance, it was all calm around.

Or rather, the entire Dangshan was calm now.

And such calmness often foreshadows just how fierce the coming storm will be.

Jiangli and Fu Shiyan stood at the mouth of the cave, detecting no human presence.

It seed like there was nothing unusual in the cave.

But Jiangli had an intuitive feeling that the cave held the answers.

And anyway, she had to return to the cave regardless.

Now it just happened to be on the way.

With this thought, Jiangli walked straight into the cave.

Fu Shiyan’s gaze was fixed on her, watching her every move, his brow furrowed slightly as he followed inside.

Almost as soon as they stepped inside, the cave entrance vanished with a swoosh.

It was as if it had reverted to yesterday’s form, trying to trap them inside.

Jiangli glanced back before turning her gaze forward.

The cave was completely dark at the mont.

Yet in the darkness, Jiangli slled a suppressed scent of blood, as if so gluttonous dragon lay in hiding, ready to ambush and deliver a fatal strike.

Jiangli stretched out her hand, slowly clenched the talisman in her pocket, and took a step forward.

With a loud boom, the surroundings suddenly lit up.

Fu Shiyan instinctively grabbed Jiangli’s hand as they looked around.

Standing around them were nurous armored ghosts.

But...

Jiangli glanced down and discovered that inside those armored ghosts were people.

Their faces were exposed.

Clearly visible.

They were the missing ng Hongyao and others.

However, Xun Tianhai and Bai Changfeng were nowhere to be seen.

ng Hongyao and Yu Misheng, among others, were all here, encased in armor, their eyes closed, their condition unknown.

Apart from them, it seed like no one else was here.

Jiangli glanced around and gently patted the back of Fu Shiyan’s hand, signaling him to release his grip.

Fu Shiyan hesitated for a few seconds before letting go.

Jiangli stepped towards ng Hongyao, intending to check on her condition first.

However, as soon as she took a step, a formation beneath her feet snapped and lit up.

As soon as the formation lit up, Fu Shiyan quickly clasped Jiangli’s wrist, pulling her back to his side.

Before Jiangli and Fu Shiyan could catch their breath, the surrounding armor began to move.

ng Hongyao and the others seed to respond to so kind of summoning, their eyes snapping open all at once.

But those eyes lacked any intelligence, staring blankly at a corner, not like living humans, but rather puppets under soone’s control.
