Xia Xin thought about it, and it really seed like that!
When Qu Lin announced the rules before drawing, he only said that they needed to complete their work.
But he didn’t say what punishnt they would face if they didn’t finish the work.
He only said that leaving the company would be considered a forfeit, leading to elimination.
He didn’t say that not working would lead to elimination.
Thinking of this, Xia Xin imdiately felt much more relaxed and said with a smile, "The ancestor is indeed clever!"
Jiangli was leisurely drinking yogurt.
Xia Xin couldn’t help but ask, "By the way, ancestor, how did you bring the yogurt in?"
Jiangli pointed to the pantry next door, "There’s a refrigerator inside. I don’t know whose yogurt it was, so I just took it and drank it."
Xia Xin: "..."
Just now, Zhang Yue had taken them to the pantry.
But...
In such a short ti, when did the ancestor manage to find and take soone else’s yogurt?
Xia Xin saw Jiangli drinking so naturally and thought Jiangli had brought it from outside.
He was wondering, as the ancestor didn’t even carry a bag, how could it be possible to bring in yogurt?
Turns out he was wrong.
Hearing this, Fu Shiyan glanced at Jiangli. If he wasn’t mistaken, he saw that when Jiangli raised her hand, the yogurt appeared in her hand out of thin air.
How could it be taken from the refrigerator?
It wasn’t working hours now, and aside from Zhang Yue, the whole company was empty. Who would leave yogurt in the pantry?
Only Xia Xin would be so easily fooled.
Jiangli tricked Xia Xin without a shred of guilt, drinking the yogurt leisurely, occasionally looking at the drafts on the table.
Not sure what kind of ad designs they were, but none were within Jiangli’s aesthetic range.
Jiangli clicked her tongue, pushed those drafts aside, then tossed the finished yogurt into the nearby trash can and lay on the table.
Before long, she fell asleep.
Xia Xin was flipping through the drafts, hadn’t finished when he noticed out of the corner of his eye that Jiangli was lying on the table as if asleep.
At the sa ti, Fu Shiyan took off his jacket and covered it over Jiangli. He still had a T-shirt underneath, so it wasn’t much of an issue.
Seeing this, Xia Xin didn’t say anything, but felt a bit strange inside.
This past week, the ancestor seed particularly fond of sleeping.
It was like this at Jiaoyang Temple, at the hotel, and here too — seizing every chance to sleep.
Originally, after returning from B City and seeing Jiangli always sleeping deeply, he thought it was because Jiangli hadn’t rested well in B City and was exhausted.
But during those four days in B City, Jiangli was like this every day, sleeping incessantly with little awake ti each day.
During the two days at Jingtian Hotel too, every ti he knocked to ask Jiangli out for a al, Jiangli always answered the door looking as if she’d just woken up.
It seed the ancestor was sleeping all the ti.
No matter how one loves to sleep, it couldn’t be normal to sleep this much every day.
Xia Xin always felt sothing was off, but couldn’t quite pinpoint it.
Usually, the ancestor looked energetic and in good spirits, so there shouldn’t be any problems.
Maybe it’s just being fond of sleeping?
Xia Xin mused to himself.
Fu Shiyan sat next to Jiangli, occasionally pulling up the slipping jacket and then looking at the ad drafts in front of him.
He didn’t seem to find it dull at all, reading very seriously.
Xia Xin, however, was restless facing those drafts, feeling dizzy from looking at them.
He took out his phone to check the ti, finding it was still early. Zhang Yue had said work started at nine, and now it was only eight.
There was still an hour to go.
Feeling too restless to sit still, Xia Xin took a deep breath, stood up, and decided to go out by himself to search for clues on the 17th floor.
The ancestor had ntioned that whatever was originally suppressed might now be in every corner of this building.
So it’s possible to find clues anywhere!
