Gabriel’s POV

We’d spent months planning. Perfecting every detail.

The drug had been Emma’s idea. Sothing to knock Damien out. Make him vulnerable. Create gaps in his mory.

"We need it to be believable," she’d said. "He needs to wake up thinking he actually did sothing wrong."

The hotel room. The marks. The staged photos.

All of it Emma’s brilliant, twisted mind.

And I’d played my part perfectly.

That night in the conference room. The fake informant story. The drugged air.

I’d watched my brother’s eyes go unfocused. Watched him stumble. Watched Emma guide him toward the exit.

"I’ve got him," she’d said. "You know what to do next."

And I had.

Followed them to the hotel. Made sure we got footage of them entering together. Of Damien looking unstable. Of Emma playing the concerned assistant.

Then I’d left. Let Emma work her magic.

She’d marked herself. With a knife. Carefully placed cuts and bruises that looked exactly like bite marks.

"He’ll see these," she’d said. "And he’ll believe he did it. Because he won’t rember. And the evidence will be right there."

Genius. Absolutely genius.

And the pregnancy?

That was the real masterstroke.

Emma and I had been sleeping together for months. Carefully. Secretly. Making sure nobody knew.

"When I get pregnant," she’d said, "we’ll tell him it’s his. From that night he can’t rember. And he’ll believe it because what else can he believe?"

The tiline worked. The story worked. Everything worked.

And now Emma was carrying my child. My heir. But Damien would think it was his.

The scandal would be perfect. The Alpha who cheated on his Luna. Who got his assistant pregnant. Who destroyed his own family.

The pack would turn on him. The Council would remove him. And soone else would have to step up as Alpha.

Soone like .

"You?" Emma had asked when I first suggested it. "You think they’d make you Alpha?"

"Why not? I’m his brother. His only living relative. Who else is there?"

She’d considered this. Then nodded slowly. "It could work. If we play it right."

And we would play it right. Because we had no other choice.

This was my chance. My only chance. To finally be sothing. Soone.

To finally have what Damien had taken from .

My phone buzzed again.

**Emma: He’s completely broken. I’ve never seen him like this.**

**: Good. That’s exactly where we need him.**

**Emma: What’s next?**

**: Now we wait. Let him marinate in his guilt. Let Sera’s hatred grow. Let everything fall apart naturally.**

**Emma: And then?**

**: Then I step in. The concerned brother. The only one who can fix this ss. The only one strong enough to lead.**

**Emma: You really think they’ll accept you?**

**: They won’t have a choice.**

I could see it all so clearly. The future I’d build from Damien’s ruins.

as Alpha. Sitting in his office. Living in his house. Leading his pack.

Emma as my Luna. Beautiful and capable and finally getting everything she wanted.

Our child as the heir. The next generation. The one who would inherit everything.

And the won?

Oh, the won.

Valerie was still out there sowhere. With that rogue pack on the borders. Causing trouble.

But I’d find her. Bring her back. Make her see what she’d missed.

And Sera?

Sera would be the best part.

Once Damien was gone. Once his reputation was destroyed. Once he had nothing left.

I’d offer her protection. Support. A way out of the ss.

And she’d be grateful. Desperate. Willing to do anything.

"You’ll work for ," I’d tell her. "As a servant. Cleaning. Cooking. Whatever I need."

She’d refuse at first. That stubborn pride of hers.

But I’d break her. Slowly. Carefully. Until she had no choice but to accept.

Two beautiful won. Both serving . Both knowing they’d chosen wrong.

Both finally seeing that I was the one they should have wanted all along.

The fantasy made hard.

I shifted on the couch. Adjusted myself. Let the images play out in my mind.

Sera on her knees. Valerie beside her. Both looking up at with those broken, desperate eyes.

"Please, Gabriel," they’d beg. "Please forgive us."

And maybe I would. Maybe I’d let them earn their way back into my good graces.

Or maybe I’d just enjoy watching them suffer.

Either way, it would be perfect.

My phone buzzed a third ti.

**Emma: He wants to get rid of the baby. Offered millions to "take care of it."**

I read that twice. My good mood evaporated instantly.

**: WHAT?**

**Emma: He doesn’t want it to exist. Said it would destroy what’s left of his marriage.**

My hands clenched around the phone. Hard enough the screen cracked slightly.

That fucking bastard.

That was MY child. My son or daughter. My heir.

And he wanted Emma to kill it? Just to save his precious marriage?

**: Don’t you dare. Don’t let him anywhere near you.**

**Emma: I won’t. I promise. But Gabriel, he’s serious. He actually threatened .**

**: Let him threaten. He won’t do anything. He’s too weak. Too concerned with his image.**

**Emma: You don’t know that. You didn’t see his face. He was... scary.**

I laughed. Bitter. Harsh.

Damien was scary? Please.

Damien was a coward hiding behind his Alpha status. Take that away and he was nothing.

**: Just stay away from him. Avoid his calls. Don’t et him alone. And for God’s sake, protect our baby.**

**Emma: I will. I promise.**

**: Good. Because that child is everything. That’s our ticket to the top. Our proof that he’s unfit to lead. Our leverage.**

**Emma: I know.**

**: Make sure Sera finds out. Soon. The longer we wait, the more chance Damien has to spin this sohow.**

**Emma: How am I supposed to tell her?**

**: I don’t care. Send her proof. Photos. Test results. Whatever it takes. But make sure she knows.**

**Emma: Okay. I’ll figure sothing out.**

**: And Emma?**

**Emma: Yeah?**

**: Don’t let Damien intimidate you. You’re carrying an Alpha’s child. That makes you powerful. Rember that.**

**Emma: I’ll try.**

I set down my phone. Took a deep breath. Let the anger settle.

This was fine. Everything was still going according to plan.

Damien was panicking. Making mistakes. Showing his true colors.

And soon—very soon—everyone would see what I’d always known.

That my perfect brother was just as flawed and selfish as the rest of us.

Maybe more so.

I stood up. Walked to the small window overlooking the dirty street below.

This shitty apartnt wouldn’t be mine much longer. Soon I’d be living in that mansion. Sitting in that office. Wearing that Alpha title like it was always ant to be mine.

And Damien?

Damien would have nothing. Just like I’d had nothing all these years.

He’d know how it felt to be overlooked. Dismissed. Treated like garbage.

He’d know how it felt to watch soone else live the life that should have been his.

The irony was beautiful.

My phone buzzed one last ti.

**Emma: I’m scared.**

I smiled. Typed back quickly.

**: Don’t be. We’re almost there. Just a little longer. Just keep our baby safe and make sure Sera knows. That’s all we need. Everything else will fall into place.**
