Jeren’s POV

"What are you doing here!"

Even though I asked that, my eyes were still widened because I couldn’t believe the person who was standing right in front of —whether he was real or not.

Those forest green eyes were glimring, sending a shiver through my whole body. Those long eyelashes, black and thick, suited those forest eyes so well. It’s like we were seeing a doll’s eyes—glass-like, transparent, yet refusing to make eye contact with any normal eyes. Those beautiful eyes were looking straight at .

He is tall, sa as . I stood up from my chair. That nose—sharp and always carrying a bad temper. Kelly green hair, smooth and silky. A powerful person who never loses his confidence—Ariel.

He is the creator of the Death and Life guild. People call him the Master of the Guild because he is the leader of the guild mbers and the main boss too. Life and Death Guild are those who take on the most dangerous assassination jobs.

"Who is he??" People murmur

Most people don’t know him because he doesn’t show his face unless necessary. But how could I forget this face? This was the face for which I was ready to kill everyone, and myself too. Just for him.

Ariel is an alpha. We t in our childhood when we were still in royal school. It was already confird that I would be the next leader of our pack since the day i was born. That’s why I was paying more attention to learning everything. And everyone’s attention was on . But he was the only one who didn’t treat like the next leader of the pack. He treated like a normal kid. He even shouted at in our first encounter.

He was from another pack, just transferred into our school. After that first encounter, he printed himself into my mind. The next day, I tried to talk with him, and he glared at instead of replying.

But while talking and talking, I realized what a nice person he is. But he is the type who only opens up to a few people. And I was one of those few. He didn’t talk to classmates. He never said a word to anyone.

Even if soone tried to talk with him, he always glared at them. And he had a habit of speaking the truth. That’s why most people didn’t like talking to him. He’s not the sugar-coated type.

But with , he was a different person—totally different. That’s why I fell for him. We never realized when we fell. We were both alphas, which is why we had beco friends. But our feelings changed. Even though our pheromones rejected each other, our hearts were ready to connect.

Since we were both alphas, we couldn’t tell the world we were dating. We hid our relationship throughout our school years. After that, we graduated. I knew that after graduation, I would beco the leader of the pack.

And that’s what happened. I got busy. I told him to wait for . Once I beca the leader, I would change the rules created by our elders. I would change them to marry him. He was the love of my life—my first love.

He eventually agreed, and we parted ways for the first ti. I was truly happy the day I beca the leader of my pack. My parents were happy. My grandparents were even happier. But then, they started looking for a Luna for .

They said an alpha couldn’t be alone—he needed a mate. I told them about Ariel. But instead of understanding , they said it was a curse. That Ariel had done sothing to . That’s why I was behaving like this.

Still, I didn’t listen to them and continued eting Ariel. We were happy together. I rejected every Oga they selected for . I rejected every female because I only wanted Ariel. I wanted to make him my mate. But in the end, my parents tried to threaten —that they would kill themselves if I didn’t listen to them.

I knew they were only threatening , so I didn’t pay attention. But one day, they crossed the line. My dad sent assassins to kill Ariel. At that ti, Ariel was gathering people in the Start—the guild—so he was safe. But because of that attack, his teammates were badly injured.

Later, when I asked Dad, he flipped. He said he didn’t send anyone. That Ariel was lying—trying to turn against my parents.

Still, I ignored them many tis. They kept crossing the line—again and again. And when I nearly broke... when my mom and dad nearly killed themselves with poison... they actually ate it. But thank God, I had called the doctor at the right ti and saved them.

They begged to break up with Ariel. But I said no. I would not do it. I don’t know what they said to Ariel after that, but he ca to and said I should take responsibility as the leader of the pack. And he broke up with . He said we shouldn’t et again after that. And what he ant was to never go in front of his eyes again. And I understood that very well.

After that, I fell into depression because I loved him so much.

I couldn’t bear the thought of never seeing his face again. It was very hard for . And just then—I got married. Because my grandparents and parents had already found an Oga for . And I didn’t say no this ti. After marriage, I told that girl that I could never love her. I apologized to her because it wasn’t her fault. She must have had hopes that after marriage, her husband would love her. But I couldn’t do that.

I used to drink every day. There was no day when I didn’t drink, because when I drank and fell asleep, he was always there for . I was longing for his hugs his warmth.
