Silas's POV
I saw a handso guy standing in front of . His hair was black, and his eyes were too, but they felt like an endless ocean. His skin was fair, and he had a well-built body.
He was wearing a gray shirt over a black t-shirt, paired with black pants. A white wolf's face tattoo was visible on his neckline. Despite his stylish outfit, he was only wearing casual slippers.
A strong lavender scent filled the air—I was sure he had applied perfu.
"Who are you?" I asked. Of course, he had disturbed my sleep, so I had every right to ask.
As soon as I spoke, his eyes locked onto mine. I knew he was tall, but there was no need to look down at as if I were that short. At the very least, I could see a little above his stomach without looking up, aning my height was average.
"Shorty, are you the one who signed the contract today?"
He started rubbing his thumbnail against his eyebrow while asking. I had no idea who he was, but I had a feeling he was here to bully .
I had seen enough movies where seniors bullied juniors. Yet, there was sothing about his face—it felt familiar, like I had seen him sowhere before.
"Don't you dare call shorty, senior! If you try to bully , I won't spare you!"
Hearing my words, he burst into laughter.
"Hahaha... You're really funny, shorty. I'm sure working with you won't be boring."
"What did you just say?" I asked, but before I could react, he flicked his finger against my forehead.
"Ugh!" I winced in pain. His fingers were long and strong, likely from working out. I decided then—I would start working out too. And one day, I would hit him back.
That's when it clicked—I finally realized who he was. He was Lysander, the biggest actor in Alphas! From his debut until now, all his movies and dramas had been massive hits. And he just said it would be fun working with ?
"Wait... are you also in that drama?"
I looked at him eagerly for an answer, but instead of responding, he simply smirked and said, "Who knows?"
I swear I could kill him. If I got the chance, I really would.
"Get the hell out of my sight!" I shouted, slamming the door in his face. He didn't deserve a second more of my precious ti.
I jumped back onto my bed, but just as I was about to close my eyes, there was another knock on the door. It was irritating.
When I opened it, he was still standing there, smiling. That smug smile was making angrier.
"Shorty, I am Lysander, the legendary actor of the entertainnt industry," he announced proudly.
Lysander... Yes, I already knew that. But seriously, who introduces themselves as a legendary actor? This guy was full of himself.
I gave him a side-eye, and that's when I noticed he was scanning from head to toe. I didn't like that one bit.
"What are you looking at?" I asked in a rude tone.
He placed both hands against the doorfra and leaned in toward .
"Shorty, you don't look bad yourself. What can we do? You were born to bewitch people," he teased.
As soon as I heard that, I started smacking his shoulder—not too hard, of course. He was laughing the whole ti.
"Aww... Shorty, you're like a little kitten scratching its owner when it gets angry," Lysander said, still chuckling.
That made my anger rise even more. This ti, I really tried to hit him hard, but for so reason, my strength was fading. The lavender scent was getting stronger.
"You mad dog! Leave before I really hit you!"
He simply winked at before finally walking away. I shut the door and was about to lie down again when—knock, knock, knock.
I was furious this ti. I yanked the door open and snapped, "Why the f**k are you irritating ?!"
But when I saw who it was, my eyes widened in horror.
My manager, Nekol, stood there, looking unimpressed.
"Silas, even if you find irritating, you have to work with ," he said.
"N-No, Nekol! That wasn't for you! So guy was here, annoying since earlier!"
Nekol looked at like he didn't believe a word I was saying.
"Whatever. Here's your suitcase and your phone," he said, handing the latest iPhone and a large black suitcase.
"Thank you so much, Nekol," I muttered.
"Yeah, yeah. If you've rested enough, let's go. Everyone else is already there. You're the only one who's late," he inford .
"What?! Why didn't you co sooner?! I could have been early too!"
I quickly locked the door, shoved the keys into my pocket, and held the phone in one hand while following Nekol. We took the elevator, but strangely, it stopped on the second floor. When the doors opened, there was no one outside.
"Nekol, there's no one here. Why did the elevator stop?" I asked, feeling a little uneasy.
He sighed. "You're new here, so you don't know. There's a story about why the elevator stops on the second floor."
I stayed silent, waiting for him to continue.
"A guy who wanted to be an actor committed suicide on the second floor. People say that after his death, they saw him walking through the corridors. Even now, he supposedly roams around, and whenever soone new arrives, he knocks on their door and talks to them."
My heart started beating faster.
A guy knocked on my door earlier. I talked to him. But I had seen him in movies and dramas before...
Who knows? Maybe that guy was already dead, and I had just spoken to his spirit.
"It is said that whoever speaks with that ghost ends up being possessed, and that's how so many newbies have committed suicide till now."
I didn't know why, but the elevator doors weren't closing quickly enough, especially now that I was feeling scared.
Just then, the elevator doors finally closed, and I sighed in relief. I glanced at Nekol—he was standing there calmly, completely unbothered. I guess I was the only one getting so worked up about this.
But what could I do? I had been scared of ghosts since childhood.
