Chapter 73: Chapter 72: Mu Lin Returns Ho_1
Mu Lin and Jing Chen seed to have a decent relationship from what they’d seen last ti.
They originally thought that the lad might have taken a fancy to a girl, but it seems he cunningly coaxed soone into joining him instead. That wouldn’t do! How could their Mu get subjected to such hardships! It appears they need to have a chat with old Jing Chen.
How could that lad tornt a young lady like that, showing no sign of cherishing her delicacy? It’s pathetic seeing that he doesn’t know how to cherish others.
One has to admit that on this matter, i Qingyuan really misunderstood Jing Chen, but that’s a matter of the future. As for now… well, they have to acknowledge it!
This is Jing Chen’s Achilles heel.
“Jing Chen?” Hearing i Qingyuan’s words, Zhou Jiansheng turned to Mu Lin, “Did he ask you to go?” Zhou Jiansheng was fairly familiar with Jing Chen, a youth who was a frontrunner among his peers, but he hadn’t known that Jing Chen and Mu Lin were so close.
Because i Qingyuan hadn’t brought it up, Zhou Jiansheng didn’t know about the intricate relationship between Mu Lin and Jing Chen.
“Yes.” Mu Lin nodded but then shook her head. “But it wasn’t entirely him.” She had her own reasons.
Despite how Mu Lin put it, Jing Chen was inevitably blad for this.
“Child, even though you’re just a tag-along doctor, it’s not as easy out there.” Zhou Jiansheng said gravely, “If you go there, you’ll have to bear so hardships.” The training in that place alone is tough on n, let alone little girls like Mu Lin.
Especially considering that Mu Lin was going to join Jing Chen’s team, she was no joke, she could put herself in dangerous situations at any mont.
In truth, they were once baffled by Jing Chen’s choice of future. Now, they think they might understand it a bit.
“I think there shouldn’t be any problem.” Mu Lin chuckled lightly.
She grew up in the mountains and often followed her master around to work as a barefoot doctor. She had heard stories about the place she was set to go, and she was a bit curious about what it was genuinely like.
This would be a good opportunity to broaden her horizons.
Upon hearing Mu Lin’s words and recognizing her determination, Zhou Jiansheng and i Qingyuan shared a glance. After so thought, they decided not to dissuade her anymore, “Since you’ve made up your mind, we old n won’t stand in your way.”
“When are you planning to go?” Zhou Jiansheng asked. He wanted to be prepared in advance. However, he realized that in such a large hospital, they didn’t seem to have anyone who could replace her.
It’s a sha, he thought.
“After giving old Jing his first acupuncture session tomorrow, I plan to go ho. When I co back from ho, I’ll directly report to Jing Chen.” One week is neither long nor short, at least sufficient for her to do what she wants to do.
“That soon.” i Qingyuan sighed, then smiled slowly, “I was hoping to learn a few more things from you.” Now… i Qingyuan stopped talking.
“There will be plenty of opportunities for that in the future.” Mu Lin smiled slightly, and then as if she just rembered sothing, she turned to i Qingyuan. “By the way, old i, when I go ho this ti, I’ll bring back a few dical books my master treasured. How does that sound?” She had practically read all those books. Instead of letting them rot, she decided it’s best to let others find them useful.
“Really!” i Qingyuan was overjoyed, “That would be wonderful.” Having missed the opportunity to et Mu Lin’s master was a great regret in his life. He had wanted to learn a trick or two from him. Surely, the dical books treasured by Mu Lin’s master must be precious.
Mu Lin gave a light laugh, “My master read those books and even wrote so of his insights in so places.” Of course, so of them were hers, but she didn’t elaborate on that.
Mu Lin thought that for people studying Chinese dicine, her master’s dical books would be absolute treasures.
Not just i Qingyuan, even Zhou Jiansheng was extrely excited. Although he practiced western dicine, he couldn’t deny that the dical skill and knowledge passed down by the predecessors was the most precious and rare resource for dical practitioners.
Such a great opportunity couldn’t be missed; he needed to read them thoroughly and, of course, also conduct so research based on them.
