This fight was long overdue. How dare Theodore co into his territory and threaten to end his guest’s life? If that wasn’t a blatant insult, Aldric didn’t know what else it was. Theodore has been pushing his buttons over the years and this ti, he was not going to let him be.
What would Islinda think of him if he does nothing and let his asshole brother go like that? That he wasn’t capable enough and the reputation he’s built over the years would take a blow. No, Theodore had it coming and Aldric was not going easy on him. If he didn’t make an example of him now, Aldric feared what he might do to Islinda in the future.
But then ca Andre, always the conciliator, the peaceful brother, and choosing to stay on neutral ground. However, Aldric didn’t care if he wrecked his castle, he had enough money to rebuild the damages as long as he dealt with Theodore and Islinda was safe.
"Aldric, let it go!" Andre shouted above the noise of their chaos, holding him back with his own magic.
Unfortunately, that sneaky bastard Theodore took advantage of that opportunity to make a move on Islinda.
He heard his na.
"Aldric!"
He turned just in ti to see Theodore’s twigs wrapping around her neck and about to crush her.
"No!" His growl was animalistic as sothing deep inside of Aldric snapped at seeing Islinda get hurt.
His dark powers, deadly and beastly, roared to be unleashed, to save her. The blood pounded in his ears and Aldric gave it what it desired, freedom. Darkness surged out of him swallowing the lights of the chandeliers and dimming the hall like a cloud passing before a moon.
"Aldric...." There was a note of fear in Andre’s voice knowing that he was feeding his dark side, which was wild and uncontrollable, and right now it cried out for vengeance. Not that Aldric listened to him. He didn’t want to.
His magic had only reacted this way for two Faeries and one died in his hand while the other gave up on him. The onslaught of emotion that had ripped from Islinda had gotten to Aldric and he wasn’t going to let her down.
His darkened eyes glowed with cold, lethal fury and before Theodore could carry on with his plan, his magic traveled faster and lashed out against him like a whip. It hit him square in the chest, hurling him away like he weighed nothing and he impacted against the wall, causing the ground to shake.
Islinda collapsed on the floor and it wasn’t until she began to cough dryly that the darkness retreated inside of him, light returning to the hall. But then, just because the darkness vanished didn’t an Aldric had control over the madness that had taken control of him.
His expression was as hard as stone, shadows in his eyes which was evidence of the dark powers warring inside of him and he radiated a sinister energy that would make even the strongest of n cower in fright. Theodore has painted him the villain for so long that it was ti to show him how a heartless fiend reacts to having his authority challenged in his territory.
The Spring prince in question struggled to his feet, pressing a hand to his chest and it ca up red with blood. There was a long gash on his chest from where Aldric’s magic had hit and injured him. A cough whacked his body and he looked pale.
But Aldric was obviously not done with him as the temperature dropped drastically and ice spears ford in his hands. For soone who had difficulty wielding his ice powers, it sure ca easy to him when his emotions ran high.
"No, Aldric, don’t!" Andre begged him, but it was too late.
With his expression set in determination, Aldric bellowed as he flung the ice spears towards the spring prince and he couldn’t even defend himself.
The ice spears lodged in his flesh below his shoulder blades and impaled him to the wall. Theodore groaned in pain and blood gushed out of the wound.
"Aldric!" Andre tried once more to get to him but the dark look from the dark prince shut him up. He had no choice but to wait hopefully, his heart in his throat.
"You disappoint , brother," Aldric said to him, his voice edged with pain and Andre was stunned to see his vulnerability.
His mouth opened and closed from the shock, this was the first ti seeing Aldric show emotions and he didn’t know how to react to it. After all, it was easy to forget that monsters also bleed.
Aldric closed his eyes and when he opened them, his cold mask was back in place.
"Take him away from my sight. The day I see him on my territory again is the day I end his pathetic life, damn the consequences. And as for you, brother, you would have to define if you’re my ally or foe soon. I don’t do too well with indecisiveness." He told him.
Without a word, Andre walked past him and went for their brother Theodore. However, Fae’s are born and bred warriors, before Andre could reach him, he had already ripped the ice spears from his shoulder with a grunt of pain, flinging it aside and dashing it to pieces.
With his teeth gritted, the spring prince stared at Aldric heatedly, a promise of vengeance in his gaze. However, when Aldric took steps towards him, the bravado vanished and he looked more pale than he already was.
Although the brothers were almost of the sa height, Aldric was bulked up and he shalessly intimidated Theodore with his form.
"The next ti you want to fight, pick soone your size." Aldric grinned, slow and cruel.
Theodore was so aggrieved that his fists shook by his side but the demonstration earlier showed he was no match for the brother he often looked down on. Hence, he had to turn away with sha, his ego bruised forever
