Jaxon pov

I stared at Aria’s father, but he seed to have no idea I had a secret weapon coming.

anwhile, Tim also seed very confused after seeing my position and Aria’s father’s position. Then Tim could already tell soone was threatening Aria as he hurriedly walked towards us.

He wasted no ti blocking the door as he stared directly at Aria’s father. Despite not knowing anything about the man, he still had so much courage in him. That was sothing I always envied. He might be a nerdy guy, but he always has to make Aria proud of him. That was sothing I always complinted him for.

If I had seen a mysterious person trying to get through to Aria, I would not have been as brave as he is; that was sothing I always complinted him for.

He wasted no ti facing Aria’s father. "Why are you standing in front of the door and threatening us?"He said, even though he did not know him.

Aria’s father wasted no ti smiling that sa weird smile he always did to that made feel scared of him.

"I am here to see my daughter," he said, and Tim turned to with a shocked expression. I knew he was not expecting this.

"And so what! Just because you are her father doesn’t an you have all the rights."He quickly said to him with a brave stare, sothing that seed like he was not puzzled at all.

Aria’s father quickly realized that he couldn’t reason with both of us standing there, ready to fight if necessary.

As the hospital patients began to stare, he awkwardly turned and walked away without a word. Tim and I were relieved, but Tim had questions. He wondered who the man was and why he claid to be marrying Aria’s father.

After all, Aria only had my father as a stepfather, not a biological one. I motioned for us to sit by the ward so I could explain everything and we could keep an eye on the room. It was important that at least Tim knew what was going on with this mysterious stranger causing trouble for us.

Though we were both uncomfortable around each other, we still sat together on the sa chair. At first, we did not say anything.

But Tim turned to , clearly ready to start the conversation. I knew he had a lot of questions to ask , and I was also ready to answer each of them. He cleared his throat and then smiled upwardly before speaking.

"Who is that weird man who called himself Aria’s father? My goodness! If I get to believe that Aria has a father who is alive, I thought he was dead or sothing like that", Tim said, but he made it seem like he was not too curious, which made smile.

"It is fine if you have any questions. I also had a lot of questions, and I just found that a few minutes ago, so I am more than open and ready to answer all your questions because I would like the both of us to be in the dark since we have one motive for Aria, which is to protect her", I said to him. We nodded affirmatively.

So I first thought of a perfect way to start off the conversation.

"Firstly, I did not know that that was actually her Father, and even until now, I am not. Aria herself is not sure, but he seems to have just gotten out of jail. weirdly enough, he knows my na, knows everything about my father and his wife, so I do not know, and sothing else I am scared of. I think he wants to return and take the abduction of Aria as his daughter away from my stepmother. I don’t even know if there is anything I can do, I have tried to get to her, but it’s impossible. She is neither picking up nor responding to , and I am apprehensive about that."I said to him. This was the first ti and Tim would ever be talking so cool with each other.

After uttering those words to Tim, he appeared stunned and didn’t respond for a few minutes.

I suppose he was as shocked as I was. "It’s hard to believe that sothing like this could happen to Aria. Why does she always seem to be a target for unpleasant things? This is precisely why I think we must always watch out for her. She needs our protection, especially now that her parents are away", Tim said, speaking to himself and . I stayed silent and let him finish.

"You’re right; we need to help her, and that’s why I think we should avoid fighting over petty things and have enough ti to safeguard her," I told him. He nodded and looked at .

"But first, we need to safeguard her from that man. I wouldn’t even call him her father if he behaved like that. A true father would only want good things for her," Tim added. Suddenly, both our phones vibrated, and we took them out to see a ssage from the school group chat.

But what we saw in the ssage’s headline astonished us. We stared at each other with our eyes bulging out of their sockets. The headline read, "Maya was attacked this afternoon, and she’s in critical condition."

Tim was In so much shock he clearly couldn’t believe it, just then another ssage entered and it included a photo of Maya when she got attacked,

"Oh my god!! I can’t even believe this?! How could she have let herself be manipulated like this? I thought she had guards everywhere." Tim muttered but all that didn’t matter to as all I stared at was the accident scene.

The weapon used to attack her clearly seed familiar, where had I seen it before?

Jaxon pov

As I stared at the weapon that was used to attack Maya even more closely. That was when I had a flashback, and I recalled how familiar it was.

I rember a few minutes ago, Aria’s father was standing in front of the door; that was when I blocked his way. At that mont, I noticed he was holding sothing like a pen in his hand; looking closely at the picture, I could see it was the pen, which was a weapon.
