Chapter 151: Next Phase Incoming
He saw Isleen and Rhett. After having his way with her in bed, he saw her get out of bed, followed her, and caught the conversation she had with Rhett from the beginning up until the end of it.
Had the two not been engrossed in their love-sick bullshit, they might have been smart enough to notice him. But no, they just had to be so annoying and stupid.
Fury boiled within him. Why did seeing Rhett hold Isleen make him want to lash out? Was it the lingering resentnt towards the pack who’d taken his "mate" away? Witnessing their happiness fueled an ugly jealousy that surprised even him. He fought the urge to attack, clenching his fists until his knuckles turned white.
It took a great deal of control for him not to speed there and snap Rhett’s neck off. Yet, it served him great pleasure to watch soone else touch Isleen, kiss her, and love her. He got hard while watching.
Now, Isleen was still fast asleep and he had been in the living room with Lupe and Cullen who had been discussing nothing but their stupid pack all day, boring him out.
However, he was able to learn more about the pack’s structure all thanks to them. He could rember when Lupe said; "I can’t believe Kylo’s dad is so hot from up close."
"Have you seen him up close before?" Cullen asked.
Lupe shook her head. "Yes. He ca to my house to check the cri scene of my mum’s death."
"Oh..." Cullen’s mouth ford an ’o’ at Lupe’s oblivious ntion of the mishap that Fergus had inflicted upon Marie Beasley.
This was one of those monts– when the ones whom he had caused pain suffered as a result of his doing. It was sothing everyone should experience and practice.
The feeling was beyond words.
Lupe, attempting to lighten the mood, waved her hand dismissively. "Anyway, Kylo’s dad is a real looker, and his body... Oh, he’s got a damn sexy one too. It’s shocking that he’s Kylo’s dad considering how different they are." She chuckled. "Except for the last nas, of course."
Cullen chid in a voice filled with slight contempt. "Yeah, the problem is the father. Always giving Kylo a hard ti. The old geezer needs to chill out, it’s not the Dark Ages anymore..."
Fergus’s lips broke into a smile when he first sensed Rhett getting closer. The two idiots probably didn’t know the Gamma was ho. And just like a ghost, he appeared from the corridor, all dressed up neatly for work with his suitcase that Fergus didn’t like.
"...okay, I know he’s had a lovely appearance but trust , Lupe, Gamma Rhett’s attitude is the exact opposite of his face." Cullen went on, demonstrating in his irritating feminine voice.
It was Lupe who was lucky enough to be sitting on the couch that was close to the door and facing the living room who first saw him. But unfortunately for Cullen, he had his back blissfully turned to the man.
Lupe tried to warn him but Cullen was just too busy being— well, ’Cullen’.
When Lupe pointed at Rhett who was behind Cullen, the fool scoffed at her. "Oh, please. If you’re so shocked that I can say this about the Gamma, I’ll have you know that I can say worse. Truth be told, I only say things are they are."
"Gamma Rhett!" Lupe, who couldn’t take it anymore sprawled on her feet and bowed slightly at Rhett. The man was now walking in the direction of the door, not according she or Cullen who now had his jaw so slacked that Fergus wondered if it could fit Liam’s small fra.
Rhett, however, was as enigmatic as ever. He rely advanced forward and then shot an icy glare at the two gossips. Cullen looked like he was ready to be swallowed by the floor.
"G–good afternoon to you, Gamma Rhett." He said but Rhett rely walked out of the house without even a single reaction.
Aha!
Rhett was just the kind of man Fergus liked. Now, he could understand why Isleen seed to be stuck on the man.
"Oh, Cullen, look what you’ve done!" Lupe cried the mont Rhett was out of sight.
Cullen, perhaps wanted to act like a man or was just exhibiting more of his stupidity because he rely waved it off. "Can’t you see he didn’t react? He did not hear us."
"But he did!" Lupe protested.
Fergus watched the two, his anger and hunger rising. Tired was an understatent of his current state of mind. Bloody hell, this was torture. The flas of hell couldn’t deliver as much torture as this was doing him. He couldn’t stand this anymore.
It was high ti he quit being Liam. His job as Liam was done. It was ti to proceed to the next agenda in his plan. Ti to act. Now, what he needed was the right ti to strike.
Soon enough, Isleen awoke, running to the living room like a chased rabbit, shouting his na.
"Liam!"
"Liam?!"
"I can’t find Liam!"
Oh, please; Fergus internally groaned.
With a false smile plastered on his face, Fergus launched himself upright from the couch. "Mum! I’m here!" he chirped in his highest-pitched, most innocent voice.
Isleen, startled, nearly dropped a decorative flower pot she’d been fiddling with. Relief washed over her features as she rushed to him, engulfing him in a tight hug. "Liam! You scared
half to death! Where’d you go?"
Fergus felt a pang of sothing akin to disgust at her touch. He plastered on a mask of wide-eyed innocence. "Just, uh, exploring the house a bit, Mum. It’s really big!"
Lupe piped in from her spot on the couch, "Don’t worry, Isleen. Liam’s been here all day, haven’t you, little man?"
Isleen sighed, releasing Fergus from her embrace. "Hey, Lupe, Cullen. Have you two eaten?"
No; Fergus answered internally. He was hungry and bad things happened every ti he got hungry.
