It was around ten o'clock on Wednesday morning, and Lin Jie was in the office of the Affiliated Hospital, studying dical records when his two students, Fang Huanru and Yan Beichen, knocked and entered.
The two of them were pushing a wheelchair inside.
The wheelchair was stacked with at least a dozen to twenty packages of varying sizes, piled up full.
"Why are there so many packages, are they all for ?" Lin Jie was sowhat surprised.
Approaching the Chinese New Year, it's a peak period for gift-giving, and with Lin Jie's status and position, those coming to give gifts were naturally endless.
However, Lin Jie never accepted valuable gifts from outsiders.
He only accepted so local specialties sent by neighbors and acquaintances.
But receiving so many packages in one day was still a bit unexpected.
Fang Huanru softly said, "Teacher, these packages were all sent from the Bamboo Sea in Sichuan. I guess they were tokens of appreciation from the injured people you saved during the earthquake."
Yan Beichen laughed and said, "Teacher, this must have been organized by soone over there, otherwise, so many packages wouldn't have arrived at the sa ti."
Lin Jie picked up a few packages to look at them.
The address column was indeed all from the Bamboo Sea in Sichuan.
The accompanying notes on the package slips read things like "Dr. Lin, I have fully recovered, thank you!" "I can work on the ground now" "Homade specialty, a little token of appreciation!"
"Teacher, do you want us to help you open the packages and take a look?"
Seeing Yan Beichen holding a package with an eager look on her face, Lin Jie laughed and said, "Sure, open and take a look..."
Before he finished speaking, he heard a ripping sound right next to his ear.
Turning his head, Lin Jie saw that Fang Huanru had already swiftly torn open a package and couldn't help but secretly note, the temptation to open a package really is irresistible for girls.

Lin Jie gave her a side glance and said to Fang Huanru, "Take so of each type and organize a gathering or sothing with your group."
"Hehe, thank you, teacher!"
Fang Huanru responded with a smile in her eyes, then she and Yan Beichen started dividing the items "one for you, one for " style.
"Teacher, we know you have a regular eting every Wednesday. Actually, we have our own small gathering too."
Fang Huanru explained, "We generally gather on Wednesdays as well, mostly at restaurants around the school or hospital, and we've even had one at my ho."
Lin Jie said softly, "You all are from the sa school, so it's good to communicate and deepen your relationships more frequently."
He recalled sothing and hurriedly inquired, "I've heard, at the last free clinic, quite a few handso guys and pretty girls asked for your contact information; how's it going, any progress?"

He speculated and asked, "Could it be you all believe in 'don't eat the grass by the nest'? Or is it because you're too familiar, that it's hard to make a move?"
Hearing this, Yan Beichen looked at Lin Jie, and said with a face full of grievance, "Teacher, I want to eat the grass by the nest, but...but the other party won't let ."

Yan Beichen hesitated for a mont and said, "Senior Brother Zeng Yang!"
Zeng Yang, usually quiet, is a patient, ticulous, and introverted guy. Strangely, he pairs well with the sowhat carefree Yan Beichen.

Yan Beichen shook her head, saying, "Not really."

Lin Jie saw Fang Huanru rolling her eyes on the side and asked, "Fang Huanru, what's your take on this?"
Fang Huanru said softly, "Junior Sister Yan, had you not ntioned it today, I wouldn't have known you were interested in Junior Brother Zeng."
"You are naturally outgoing, being warm to everyone."

Fang Huanru and Yan Beichen took about one-third of the items, and when Lin Jie asked Guan Muhua to co and tidy up, Cheng Xingguang suddenly appeared and saw it.
Lin Jie just politely made a remark, unexpectedly, the person was really impolite.
He took away another third, not stopping there; he even tried to take the only two remaining bamboo rats and a few prepared snakes entirely.
That couldn't happen.

"I know well that your German is excellent, saves the need for a translator."
Lin Jie pursued the question, "When exactly is it? I'm worried about the conjoined twins' separation surgery!"
"March 2nd, a total of five days."
After thinking for a mont, Cheng Xingguang said, "How about this, get the visa done first; if sothing really holds you here, you won't have to go."
Lin Jie rembered sothing and said, "I haven't gotten my passport yet..."
