At 9:11 on Friday morning, Tang You's surgery officially began.

Her surgery was mainly divided into three parts: correcting the left calf bone, correcting the left foot bone, and repairing the ankle joint.

Among them, the repair of the ankle joint was both the most difficult and the most critical point.

Correction of the left calf bone required using a bone saw to cut the severely bent and deford fibula and tibia into small pieces, then piecing them together like building blocks into the general shape of a normal leg bone.

This cutting into small pieces was not random at all.

It was calculated using Lin Jie's experience and computer simulations.

The angles of bending and deformation of the leg bones were different, so the size and angle of the bone pieces to be cut off also varied.

The two leg bones needed to be cut into twenty-six and twenty-eight pieces, respectively.

To prevent post-recovery discrepancies in leg length, the length of the pieced-together leg bones also required precise calculation.

The pieced-together leg bones needed to be wrapped tightly with a woven sh of absorbable sutures, then bonded and fixed with bio-adhesive.

This thod allowed for the assembly of relatively small bone fragnts without the need for tal plates to fix them, sparing the patient the subsequent hassle of undergoing a second surgery to remove the tal plate.

Correcting the left foot bone was the simplest.

It only required correcting the dislocation and shaving the deford foot bones a little.

However, the correction of the ankle joint was a ticulous and vast project.

This required Lin Jie to first make a vertical incision to cut open the joint ligants and connective tissues, then use a dilator to open it up as a surgical window.

Afterwards, Lin Jie needed to carefully separate the cartilage and periosteum of the joint head within this confined surgical window.

Then, Lin Jie had to use specialized cutting and grinding tools to restore the joint head to the desired shape.

This surgical process could be said to be quite lengthy…

An Kexin entered the chairman's office and handed a list to An Weize, saying, "Dad, take a look at this. It's the list of principal hospital heads and chief doctors to be invited this year, along with the list for the company's agents' reception banquet."

An Weize skimd through it and set the list down, saying, "There are too many nas. I won't go into detail. Just tell the main changes compared to last year."

An Kexin pulled up a chair to sit down, adopting a posture for a long talk, and said, "The changes this year are actually quite significant."

"The company's sales have increased by twenty-seven percent over last year, firstly thanks to the marketing of bundled surgical instrunts, selling them as a professional operating room suite."

"Another reason is that the company has expanded into new markets in several provinces, and even in regions where sales were previously lackluster, there has been noticeable improvent."

"These new sales and markets have added twenty-one people to this year's annual reception banquet."

An Weize nodded and smiled, saying, "Kexin, you forgot one point, which is Lin Jie's reputation, and how it has added to the sales of the company's products."

"This should be considered the primary factor."

An Kexin smiled brightly and said, "The sales staff have reported more than once that when they promote products to dical institutions, ntioning the company na might not get a response."

"But as soon as Lin Jie's na and his relationship with the company are ntioned, they imdiately show interest."

"Although they're more interested in learning about Lin Jie, it still counts as getting acquainted, laying a solid foundation for successfully entering the market."

An Weize said with satisfaction, "After next Tuesday, Lin Jie's reputation will soar even more. Make sure to increase his endorsent fee for next year."

"Even among close relatives, financial matters must be clear. This fee cannot be saved."

An Kexin giggled and said, "Lin Jie's money is my money. I definitely won't skimp on it."

An Weize shook his head with a smile and pointed at the list, saying, "Continue with the list."

"There's another change, mainly reflected in the list of doctors from Binhai."

An Kexin showed a bitter smile and said, "The Binhai dical Community is going through a turbulent ti in the next couple of years."

"Many chief doctors are rumored to be moving, and I confird that nine of them are going to Phoenix Mountain Hospital."

"The others are mostly still rumors, probably won't be clear until May or June next year."

"Dad, I've marked off these nine going to Phoenix Mountain Hospital."

An Weize's expression turned stern as he instructed, "Kexin, our reception banquet is primarily to give back to these people for their contributions to the company over the year."

"No matter where they go next year, even if they go to our competitors or adversaries, we still need to thank them for their contributions this year. Understand?"

An Kexin blushed and said, "Dad, I understand where I went wrong. I'll reorganize this list."

She took back the list and continued, "Dad, I need to inform you that I plan to replace the general agent in Fujian Province, and either support another company or send in our own sales representative."

An Weize thought for a mont and asked, "The general agent in Fujian is Zhou Shengjiao, right?"

"If I rember correctly, she's always perford quite well. What's the problem? Why do you want to remove her?"

An Kexin scoffed, "Her performance is good, but she's starting to lose sight of herself."

"She wants her son to enter a specialized dical class and hinted that if her son is not selected, she would ensure that not a single one of our products will sell in Fujian Province."

An Weize furrowed his brow and asked, "Kexin, are you sure she said this?"

"Yes, when she called , there was an underlying tone of threat."

"This ssage was passed to us through her company's employees to our custor service, and then reported to ."

An Kexin sneered, "I guess she deliberately let this ssage reach my ears, thinking of making us yield."

"Since it's confird, just go ahead as you planned!"

After saying this, An Weize spoke again, "Um... Tang You's surgery, A Jie said, will probably end around five or six in the afternoon. Kexin, how about accompanying to visit?"

An Kexin initially wanted to refuse, but after thinking for a mont, she nodded and agreed...

The financial office of Anlin Charity Fund.

Lin Miao was pasting docunts to make vouchers when the phone on her desk suddenly rang.

She picked it up and heard the sweet voice of the receptionist, "Miaomiao, there's a girl nad Liu Wenyan here to see you. She says she's your classmate."

"Do you want to see her?"

Classmate?

While Lin Miao was pondering which classmate it might be, the receptionist's voice ca through again, "She said she was a classmate from the blind class."

She imdiately rembered which classmate it was and hurriedly said, "Please guide her to the reception room!"

After hanging up the phone, Lin Miao tidied up the things on her table, locked the sensitive docunts in the safe, and jogged to the reception room.

Upon entering the reception room, Lin Miao saw a simply dressed, quiet woman sitting upright on the sofa.

The other person heard the footsteps and turned her head to "look" towards the door.

"Liu Wenyan?"

"Lin Miao?"

Hearing this familiar voice from her mories, Lin Miao confird that this was indeed her classmate from the blind class years ago.

Lin Miao sat next to Liu Wenyan, held her hand, and said enthusiastically, "Hello, Wenyan! I never thought we'd et again, I'm really happy."

Liu Wenyan's face broke into a smile and said, "I heard your eyes have healed, I'm really happy for you!"

After exchanging a few pleasantries,

Lin Miao learned that Liu Wenyan, who was two years older than her, had been engaged in online writing since graduating from school.

"Previously I would dictate, and my family helped type. Now I use voice software to write, and my family only needs to help with so edits."

Liu Wenyan showed a satisfied expression and said, "Perhaps because I can't see, it makes better at imagination. My novels are quite popular online, and the inco is decent."

"One of my works even sold its rights and is going to be made into a TV show."

"Wenyan, I'm so proud of you," Lin Miao said happily.

Liu Wenyan turned to "look" at Lin Miao and, with a tone of envy, said, "Actually, I'm more envious of you being able to see the world with your own eyes."

"But let's not talk about that now. Lin Miao, I'm here to seek your help this ti."

Lin Miao didn't refuse and straightforwardly said, "Oh, tell , within my capabilities, I won't shirk."

Liu Wenyan paused for a mont and said, "Here's the thing, after graduating, I've been keeping in touch with the school, sotis going back to talk to the students."

"A few days ago, a junior was hit by a vehicle we haven't identified yet. We still haven't found the vehicle or person responsible. His injuries are quite severe, and his family is quite poor."

"So, I thought, isn't your place a charity fund? Could you help out?"

Lin Miao didn't make any rash promises and replied truthfully, "Wenyan, I'll report your matter to the review departnt."

"However, I must tell you that I can't guarantee anything."

"The charity fund has strict conditions on who it can help."

"Whether that junior ets our assistance criteria will depend on the final review result."

Liu Wenyan smiled and said, "I understand there are conditions. From what I know, that junior's family is indeed quite struggling."

She hesitated for a mont and then asked, "Lin Miao, I heard your brother is a very skilled doctor, who can even transplant eyes and restore vision to congenital blind people."

"Is that true?"

Lin Miao proudly said, "My brother is indeed a very skilled doctor, truly impressive."

Alongside her pride, she retained her rationality, "But what you ntioned about eye transplantation and restoring vision to the blind, that's only possible in very special conditions."

"Not every situation applies."

Liu Wenyan softly responded and, biting her lip, asked, "Lin Miao, could I ask your brother to examine ?"
