The academic symposium hosted by Chen Shi and Tao Taqing was held at the conference hall on the fourth floor of Jingqiu Building, within the hotel on Binhai University's campus.

This symposium was attended by more than forty professionals from various parts of the country, including doctors, professors, and research scholars working in dicine or related fields.

Just past nine in the morning, Lin Jie arrived at Binhai University.

After getting out of the car, he walked towards Jingqiu Building, turned around a building, and saw Dean Yuan Guangxi from the dical College, who was walking and chatting eagerly with a slender-faced middle-aged man.

"Good morning, Dean Yuan!" Lin Jie greeted as he approached.

Upon seeing Lin Jie, Yuan Guangxi raised an eyebrow, smiled at the person beside him, and said, "Speak of the devil, and he shall appear!"

"Co, let introduce you. This is the treasure of our Binhai dical community... Expert Lin Jie."

Yuan Guangxi then pointed to the slender-faced man beside him and introduced, "Expert Lin, he is my old classmate, Editor-in-Chief of the 'Clinical dicine' magazine, Xiang Rong."

Xiang Rong proactively shook Lin Jie's hand and said with a smile, "Old Yuan misspoke. What he should say is that Expert Lin is the treasure of the entire country's dical community."

"I don't dare to accept such a title; Editor-in-Chief Xiang is being too kind." Lin Jie replied modestly.

Xiang Rong said earnestly, "Expert Lin, I'm not just being polite. Before coming, I did my howork. Your achievents are deserving of this praise."

"Oh, I must first congratulate you on your academic paper being published in 'Nature.' Additionally, on behalf of 'Clinical dicine' magazine, I'd like to request a contribution from you."

He shook Lin Jie's hand with his left hand as well and further explained, "Our magazine is ranked among the top in dostic dical journals, quite comndable."

"Expert Lin, please seriously consider it."

Before Lin Jie could respond, Yuan Guangxi interrupted, "It also depends on the comparison. A paper that can be published in 'Nature,' why publish it in your little magazine?"

Xiang Rong imdiately cast a sideways glance at Yuan Guangxi and waved dismissively, "You should just go about your business. I still need to discuss so dical issues in depth with Expert Lin."

Yuan Guangxi snorted and said, "Do you think I enjoy accompanying you?"

He then said to Lin Jie, "As half the host, I need to go to Jingqiu Building first. Expert Lin, you don't have to give Old Xiang a good face; he's used to taking an inch if you give him a mile."

Yuan Guangxi quickly walked away.

Xiang Rong released Lin Jie's hand, and they both walked slowly towards Jingqiu Building.

"Expert Lin, one of the things I greatly admire about you is that while studying and seeing patients, you have also ntored over ten students. Old Yuan told those students have made significant progress under your guidance."

"He even said that you laid the foundation for them to beco famous doctors."

Xiang Rong stopped, turned to look at Lin Jie, and said earnestly, "I believe Old Yuan's words."

"Expert Lin, thank you for nurturing a batch of excellent doctors for the country."

Lin Jie saw how solemnly he spoke and felt a bit unaccustod, pausing for a mont before saying, "It's my first ti teaching students, and I didn't know much, so I just tried my best."

"Expert Lin, you might not understand my reaction."

Xiang Rong explained softly, "Because of work requirents, besides so dostic dical seminars and symposiums, I also attended many international dical conferences."

"I can say that the status of our country's modern dicine in the world is quite low."

"As for ordinary foreign citizens outside the dical circle, their concept of our country's dicine mostly remains at the acupuncture and herbal dicine passed down by our ancestors."

"Under such circumstances, you can imagine our treatnt at international dical conferences."

Xiang Rong said with relief, "Expert Lin, in you, I see the country's hope for powerful modern dicine."

"To be honest, I've communicated with Mr. Joshua, the Editor-in-Chief of 'Nature,' and he gave your paper a high evaluation."

Lin Jie smiled slightly, responding with humility, but in his heart, he couldn't help but feel a bit proud and pleased at receiving such high recognition.

"Expert Lin, I listened to a few recordings of your lectures over the past few days."

Xiang Rong changed the topic and said, "The richness of knowledge left speechless, and the way you link various dical knowledge with human organs as clues is orderly and relatively novel."

"I wonder if you have any interest in publishing a book?"

"Publishing a book?"

Regarding this, Lin Jie hadn't really thought about it.

The course content was sorted and summarized from a massive amount of dical knowledge in his mind, gathering the strengths of many experts.

In a certain sense, these classroom teaching notes could also be considered Lin Jie's theoretical achievents.

"Yes, publish a book!"

Xiang Rong said earnestly, "Once this book is published, it would be an encyclopedic system of human dical knowledge, even serving as a tool book for dical college students, doctors, and dical researchers."

Lin Jie couldn't help but smile.

His lecture content has been criticized by many as too dry and too rich in knowledge points, so being published and used as a tool book seems quite fitting.

Lin Jie thought of sothing and said, "Editor-in-Chief Xiang, if my teaching notes were to be published, there would be at least a dozen or twenty volus, and the price would not be cheap."

"In the current professional book publishing market, it generally loses money, right?"

Xiang Rong laughed and said, "Our magazine has a fund specifically for sponsoring the publication of dical monographs."

"I have so influence, and I can secure so sponsorships from pharmaceutical companies, so there won't be any problem smoothly publishing your teaching notes."

"Also, Expert Lin, do not underestimate the practicality and popularity of your book series."

He analyzed, "dical undergraduates, due to the vastness of the subject, might only purchase one or two volus for study. However, dical postgraduates and doctoral students will most likely buy the entire set."

"Practicing doctors, as well as dical educators and researchers, may not buy the whole set, but will at least purchase the volus related to their respective fields."

"With this preliminary calculation, selling twenty to thirty thousand sets nationwide, equating to hundreds of thousands of volus, is possible. You might even earn so royalties from this."

Lin Jie felt that Xiang Rong's analysis was overly optimistic.

However, having his teaching materials published could be considered an "establishing wisdom" kind of achievent.

After pondering for a mont, he said, "Editor Xiang, there are usually two to three hundred students attending my classes now."

"In the next class, I will conduct a survey."

"If most of them think it is necessary to publish and that keeping such a book series would be beneficial for their future studies and work, then I will publish it."

"As for the publishing costs, I can afford that."

Xiang Rong nodded with a smile and said, "I am certain that the feedback you receive will roughly align with my analysis."

By this ti, the two had already entered the first-floor lobby of the Jingqiu Building.

In the lobby, a slightly overweight man in his fifties, upon seeing Xiang Rong, enthusiastically ca forward smiling.

"Editor Xiang, I knew your esteed presence couldn't be absent from this symposium..."

After exchanging a few pleasantries with Xiang Rong, he turned to Lin Jie and asked, "Editor Xiang, is this your little assistant or a younger family mber?"

Xiang Rong shook his head and said, "Neither."

"Expert Hao, let introduce you. This is the renowned Lin Jie, Expert Lin..."

Lin Jie was about to politely greet Expert Hao, but unexpectedly, the man's face darkened. He eyed Lin Jie from top to bottom and then scornfully snorted, "So, it's you, Lin Jie!"

After speaking, Expert Hao turned away directly, heading towards the staircase, leaving Xiang Rong standing there.

This scene left Lin Jie puzzled and confused.

He was sure it was his first ti eting Expert Hao. Why did he hold such a strong opinion against him?

Xiang Rong sighed, shook his head, and said, "Expert Lin, this guy works part-ti at the Sports Injury Treatnt Center opened by Qiao Hongzhen, earning a rather decent inco each month."

"But now that Qiao Hongzhen is prohibited from practicing dicine, and that center has shut down, Expert Hao's inco is gone. Expert Lin, do you understand now?"

Lin Jie chuckled quietly and said, "He blas for cutting off his inco stream."

A thought ca to him, and he asked, "Editor Xiang, does the dical community in Capital City fully understand why Qiao Hongzhen was punished?"

"From Expert Hao's attitude, apart from financial interests, it seems he sympathizes with Qiao Hongzhen too."

Xiang Rong nodded and said, "We all know the specific reasons."

"Initially, many applauded, thinking it purified the dical team. But after a few dical lawsuits, Qiao Hongzhen's situation beca rather miserable..."

He said indignantly, "That's why rumors and speculations started."

"What kind of rumors?" Lin Jie pressed on.

Xiang Rong hesitated for a mont and said, "There's a rumor saying that you are vengeful and want Qiao Hongzhen to never recover."

"Originally, Qiao Hongzhen's punishnt wasn't supposed to be so severe. It was your insistence that prompted a big shot from Capital City, who owed you a favor, to exert pressure behind the scenes, leading to Qiao Hongzhen being banned from practicing dicine for life."

"And the subsequent dical lawsuits were also instigated by you in the background."

Lin Jie chuckled coldly and said, "Never mind that I didn't do it. Even if I did, so what?"

"Is he allowed to calculate against on the 1st and I'm not allowed to target him on the 15th?"

"If he were a good doctor, even if others wanted to deal with him, they wouldn't find any leverage against him."

Xiang Rong sighed and said, "That reasoning is sound, but the weak always garner so sympathy, and everyone has different interests, so perceptions naturally beco biased."

"Co on, let's go to the venue. I'll introduce you to a few friends..."

They arrived at the symposium venue on the fourth floor, where more than forty people had already gathered, chatting happily in small groups.

Xiang Rong's social network was indeed extensive; he could chat amiably with almost everyone.

Through his introductions, Lin Jie t many fellow dical professionals...

At 9:30 am, the symposium started on ti.

The invited participants sat around an oversized oval conference table.

The students or assistants they brought, along with the dical College students serving the symposium, also about forty to fifty people, sat quietly in the rear seats.

Yuan Guangxi and Tao Taqing each gave welco speeches.

Just as Chen Shi was about to present a research report and officially begin the discussion, a young man, brought by soone unknown, suddenly stood up and loudly said, "Professor Chen, I've heard that the research findings discussed in this symposium are actually Lin Jie's alone. You and Dean Tao are the ones stealing his work."

"Please confirm whether this rumor is true or not?"
