"It's really delicious!"

An Keng took a sip of the soup, her exaggerated expression as if she had tasted Dragon Liver and Phoenix Gall.

Lin Jie glared at her and laughed, "If your sister saw your expression, she'd be furious."

"As if you've never had anything good to eat since you were little. Could Uncle An and your sister possibly have mistreated you?"

"They did mistreat !"

An Keng grumbled discontentedly, "During the ti I was seeing a psychologist before the new year, they could still spare ti every day to have als and chat with ."

"But... now Dad and Sister are both solid state excited, too busy to be seen all day long."

Lin Jie was speechless for a mont, not knowing what to say.

Building a hospital involves countless aspects and has now entered a critical period. The original enterprise is the foundation of the An Family's developnt and cannot be neglected, so being busy is inevitable.

An Keng, having complained, also said understandingly, "I know they are too busy to spare any ti and already make an effort to find ti to accompany ."

She smiled brightly at Lin Jie and said, "Besides, I can always find Brother Jie to have als with like now."

"Brother Jie, I love the Wednesday gatherings the most. It's not only filled with delicious food but also very lively with Sister, Miaomiao, and many others around!"

At this mont, Qin Gang entered the private room and said softly, "It's all arranged. There will be two brothers taking turns to keep an eye on Xu Bin's family. I believe it won't be long before we find out who is in contact with them, stirring things up behind the scenes."

Lin Jie nodded and said, "Alright, sit down and eat."

He thought for a mont and then reminded, "No need to watch every single minute."

"That child's illness isn't sothing regular dical institutions can handle. As long as we find out which institution they eventually go to, we'll find the person behind it."

Qin Gang replied, "I will pass that on to them."

An Keng interjected, "Brother Jie, do you think Mr. Xu Bin might be pretending not to know anything, letting his wife negotiate with you?"

Lin Jie nodded with a smile, "It's very possible!"

"In such a situation, if negotiations break down and they have to co back later, Xu Bin can step in to resolve it, putting all the bla on his wife."

"Brother Jie, would you agree to it if they ca back later?" An Keng pressed for an answer!

Lin Jie wanted to blurt out no, that he would only give others one chance.

But thinking about this project, the expectations of the two deans for it, and considering that the child is innocent, he hesitated and muttered, "We'll see."

An Keng saw Lin Jie's helplessness and anger, and indignantly said, "It's not about the matter, but the person! Brother Jie, when you find out who's behind this, you mustn't let them off lightly!"

"And as for Xu Bin's family..."

"When they co back to you in the future, you mustn't let them off easily."

"Hmph, it's really infuriating!"

Seeing the puffed up An Keng, Lin Jie's mood oddly improved sowhat, and he smiled, "Xu Bin and his family aren't in the dical field. They might be tricked by so seemingly prestigious 'renowned doctors' with hollow titles, swayed by a bit of incitent and tempted by tangible benefits, it's quite normal."

He then reproached himself slightly, "It's partly my fault for being overly confident!"

"I didn't impose contractual restrictions on Xu Bin's family, which led to the current situation."

Lin Jie self-mockingly said, "I guess it's a lesson learned, at least there won't be such foolish loopholes in the future."

After the three finished their dinner at the health soup restaurant, they packed so health soup for An Kexin and Lin Miao and left the private room.

They stepped into the main hall of the health soup restaurant and happened to run into a group of people who had just entered!

"Cousin!"

"Dr. Lin!"

Among the people coming from the opposite side, there were two Lin Jie recognized, Chen Fanzhi and Fu Wenzhu.

After calling out "Cousin," An Keng unconsciously moved closer to Lin Jie's side, clearly still a bit fearful of Chen Fanzhi due to shadows from the past.

Chen Fanzhi responded with a light "hmm," acknowledging An Keng, but his gaze remained on Lin Jie.

Looking at Lin Jie's handso and calm face, Chen Fanzhi sighed inwardly!

Recalling his previous dissatisfaction and resentnt towards Lin Jie, Chen Fanzhi found himself childish and ridiculous. Now, Lin Jie's position in the dical College and Affiliated Hospital, in so ways, had already surpassed his father Chen Shi.

In terms of social status alone, Lin Jie had grown into soone he needed to look up to.

But in this world, there's no dicine for regret!

Lin Jie gently nodded at Fu Wenzhu, acknowledging her earlier greeting.

At this point, a young man beside Fu Wenzhu stepped forward and said disdainfully, "Lin Jie, just because you know a bit of dicine and were lucky enough to earn Grandpa Fu's recognition, don't forget who you are..."

Hearing the tone in these words, Fu Wenzhu imdiately pulled the young man's arm and scolded, "Jiang Yingrui, what nonsense are you spouting?"

The youth being called Jiang Yingrui turned to Fu Wenzhu, puzzled, and asked, "Wenzhu, I'm standing up for you. If not for this Lin Jie, why would you be reprimanded by Grandpa?"

"Don't you hate him so much that you..."

"Jiang Yingrui, don't talk nonsense!"

Fu Wenzhu quickly stopped Jiang Yingrui and explained, "That was all in the past. Besides, it was a mont of arrogance and ignorance on my part. I made a mistake, and it's only right that I was punished for it."

She then looked at Lin Jie and said softly, "Dr. Lin, thank you for treating my cousin's sports injury! You can't imagine how high her spirits are now. She can't wait to spend every mont on training."

Lin Jie replied politely, "It's what I should do. Hmm, rember to remind Wang Jinglan to train step by step!"

"Dr. Lin, I will definitely remind her!"

After seeing Lin Jie and the others leave, Fu Wenzhu turned to Jiang Yingrui, annoyed, "Jiang Yingrui, are you trying to harm ?"

"You work in a pharmaceutical company yourself. Don't you know that Dr. Lin Jie's status in the dical field in Binhai is at its peak now?"

"My grandfather holds him in high regard!"

Jiang Yingrui said aggrievedly, "Wenzhu, wasn't I just trying to stand up for you?"

"If that kid dares to tattle to the old man about today's little incident and causes you troubles again, I'll personally teach him a lesson, even if I have to face the family rules enforced by my own father."

Fu Wenzhu's expression softened a lot and she said, "Dr. Lin is not that kind of person! Besides, what I said earlier is all true."

"At that ti, being punished by the old man was indeed my fault. It was never Dr. Lin's fault. My previous complaints about you were just angry words in the heat of the mont."

Jiang Yingrui snorted in dissatisfaction, "Even if you did sothing wrong, so what? Lin Jie should have endured it. Going to complain to the old man was definitely a big mistake on his part!"

That statent, though unreasonable, was quite heartwarming!

Fu Wenzhu smiled gently and said, "Honestly, as a company vice president, you still talk so childishly. I really don't know how you manage in the company."

She turned to Chen Fanzhi and said, "The health soup at this shop is quite decent. Let's eat while we talk. Maybe there's a possibility for your company to cooperate with Jiang Yingrui's in business."

Having learned that An Kexin was still working at the company, Lin Jie and his team went straight to the Weize Building.

Seeing An Kexin and An Weize discussing matters together, Lin Jie had to adapt on the fly and also handed over the portion of soup he prepared for Lin Miao.

"Uncle An, Kexin, take a break and have so soup while it's still hot to refresh yourselves!"

An Weize took the hot soup, drank a sip, and seeing the satisfied expression on An Kexin's face as she sipped the soup, he said with great satisfaction, "Eight-Treasure Health Soup, Ah Jie, you were thoughtful!"

An Keng looked at An Weize, then at Lin Jie, as if discovering a new continent, and quickly said, "Brother Jie, you've already given my sister an engagent ring, you two are just one step away from marriage. By right, you shouldn't be calling my dad 'uncle' anymore!"

She then teased with a giggle, "Brother Jie, do you expect a fee for changing what you call him?"

This...

Lin Jie had always called him "Uncle An," saying it very smoothly, and he never considered changing it!

If he changed it to "Dad," just thinking about it made him feel awkward, as if sothing was stuck in his throat...

Seeing Lin Jie's hesitation and discomfort on his face, An Weize sighed inwardly, glared at An Keng, and gently said, "Ah Jie, call him whatever you're comfortable with."

"I think 'Uncle' is a great term, really great!"

Lin Jie's unusual reaction, along with the disapproving looks from father and sister, led An Keng to realize she misspoke. She pouted and sat on the far end of the sofa, counting her fingers.

To break the awkward atmosphere, Lin Jie casually asked, "How is the progress on the hospital construction?"

An Kexin put down her soup and said, "The governnt is focusing on constructing several main roads in the Phoenix Mountain District, and geological surveys for the subway are also underway, making the roads very congested."

"The building projects there are all affected to varying degrees. It's expected to take two to three months for the hospital's construction speed to return to normal."

She added with relief, "Fortunately, there are no residents around, so we don't have to worry about disturbing anyone. We can work around the clock in shifts, so overall the construction speed isn't too slow."

An Kexin hesitated for a mont and said softly, "Ah Jie, my dad and I were discussing sothing earlier, and I'd like your opinion on whether it's feasible."

She handed a list to Lin Jie and said, "Our partners in the United States know we're building a hospital and need all kinds of dical equipnt. They inford us of so news."

"A wealthy person in the Middle East also wanted to build a comprehensive hospital and ordered a complete set of equipnt from the United States to et all hospital operations."

"However, it seems this Middle Eastern tycoon encountered so issues and abandoned the hospital plan."

"Even though they had already paid a substantial deposit, the Middle Eastern tycoon also paid a penalty fee and gave up everything!"

Glancing at the models and production dates on the equipnt list, Lin Jie widened his eyes in amazent and exclaid, "This Middle Eastern tycoon is quite rich!"

An Weize smiled wryly and said, "Yes, given a Middle Eastern tycoon's usual behavior, they'd definitely buy the best. Naturally, these items on the list are the latest and best equipnt."

"Kexin and I calculated it. Even though the other party promised us a significant discount, the total price..."

He sighed, troubled, "It's still beyond our ans! But this is indeed a rare opportunity to outfit the hospital in one go."

Lin Jie carefully reviewed the list, thought for a mont, took a pen, and crossed out several items, saying, "I think the reason they're willing to offer a discount is that they've already taken the Middle Eastern tycoon's deposit and penalty fee."

"Additionally, many of the equipnt on the list, if sold individually, would require a lot of ti and effort. It's better to find a large client and sell them off in one go!"

"The items I crossed out are high-value, high-demand equipnt in the dical market. If they sell them individually with a small discount, they can still be easily sold."

He handed the list back to An Kexin and said, "For the other bulk items and complex small equipnt, we can take all of them. The discount pricing should have room for further negotiation!"

An Weize and An Kexin exchanged a glance and smiled, "This is indeed a good solution!"

"Acquiring this batch of dical equipnt all at once would save us a lot of trouble and may even save so money!"
