"Human Anatomy," "Histology and Embryology," "Diagnostics," "Infectious Diseases," "Pediatrics," "Physiology," and a total of eleven exam papers.

The exam ti for each subject varies from two to three hours. Yan Haodang and Jiang Shuiyao hope that Lin Jie can finish all these papers in two days under their supervision.

Lin Jie wasn't keen on wasting that much ti.

After confirming multiple tis that as long as the exam scores were passable, sixty would et the requirents, he adopted a lazy approach and only aid for scores in the sixties or seventies.

Even with this approach, it still took Lin Jie about forty minutes to an hour to complete one paper.

This was mainly because Lin Jie wrote too slowly.

Normally, he used either a computer or a phone and hardly wrote anything by hand over the year, so his handwriting skills had deteriorated significantly.

He once applied to answer the exam orally, but was rejected by the two teachers.

After completing three exams in a row, Lin Jie rubbed his slightly sore wrist and suddenly asked, "Teacher Yan, Teacher Jiang, can I answer the questions in English?"

Yan Haodang burst into laughter and casually said, "Sure! If you've got the ability!"

Lin Jie picked up the "Diagnostics" paper, glanced at the questions, and started answering them in English on the answer sheet.

Compared to the crooked Chinese characters he wrote with each stroke, Lin Jie's writing in English was much smoother. The way he wrote the letters was particularly beautiful, like a work of art.

This really surprised the proctors Yan Haodang and Jiang Shuiyao.

Even though Lin Jie was faster when answering in English, by the ti he finished all eleven exam papers, it was already ten o'clock at night. When he got ho, it was almost midnight.

The familiar sll of ho deepened Lin Jie's fatigue, and he wished he could shower quickly and dive into a warm bed.

The hurried footsteps, however, woke up the person sleeping in the living room.

"Brother, you're back." Lin Miao, who was sleeping on the living room sofa, was roused by Lin Jie's footsteps. She sat up, rubbing her eyes, and called out groggily.

Lin Jie chided a bit, "Why are you sleeping here? Didn't I tell you not to wait for ?"

Wrapped in a quilt, Lin Miao stood up on the sofa, her hair ssy, sleep still in her eyes, and giggled, "When I used to co back every night from the massage parlor, you were waiting for like this too, brother!"

"Coming back at this hour, you must be hungry!"

"I've made so beef soup. It's warming in the kitchen. Have so before you sleep, brother."

Lin Jie went into the kitchen, lifted the lid of the insulated soup pot, and a rich aroma wafted out along with the steam.

Making beef soup wasn't easy for Lin Miao, which showed she had put a lot of thought into it.

He filled two bowls and said to Lin Miao, who had followed him in, "You should have a bowl with too!"

He picked up a bowl with his left hand, but his right hand, due to soreness, lacked strength. He couldn't lift the bowl on the first try, and Lin Miao, with her keen eyes, noticed sothing amiss and anxiously asked, "Brother, what's wrong with your right hand?"

"It's nothing, just tired from writing all day!" Lin Jie said, moving his wrist.

Lin Miao moved up to gently massage his right wrist and softly said, "Why did you write so much on the first formal day of school? Is studying that hard?"

"Today was special!"

Lin Jie briefly explained what happened that day, pulled back his hand, and said, "Alright, that's much better, a night's rest and the wrist will be fine."

"Let's have the beef soup now, it won't taste good if it cools down..."

The next day, Lin Jie didn't rush to school but stayed ho grading the howork that everyone submitted to his email.

According to the course schedule, Lin Jie had to teach these people twice a week, on Monday mornings and Thursday afternoons.

He could arrange the other tis freely.

In total, there were twenty-four students, but he only received twenty-one assignnts!

Lin Jie couldn't help but smile, as this ant he could permanently reduce the workload by three people.

He also hoped to weed out a few more, maybe even a dozen, as twenty-one was still a bit too much.

His ideal number was seven to eight people.

With these numbers, he could manage one-on-one guidance, but more than that and his energy would be stretched thin.

Having agreed to be Chen Shi's substitute teacher, Lin Jie wasn't planning to take it lightly.

On one hand, he was thinking of using this as an opportunity to consolidate the knowledge in his mind, making it systematic, organized, and integrated.

On the other hand, he also wanted to cultivate a few expert doctors or dical researchers who achieved success in a specific field through elite education.

Training soone at that level can be equivalent to dozens or even hundreds of ordinary dical workers.

As for those who fall behind or get left behind in this process, Lin Jie didn't feel the slightest bit sorry for them.

For his requirents for these people, he set the standards extrely low this ti, not considering anyone's dical talents or past academic achievents, only focusing on two things: diligence and self-discipline.

If they couldn't et these two criteria, there was nothing to expect from their future.

The twenty-one assignnts, each one was tens of thousands of characters long.

The assignnt served as a basis for Lin Jie's assessnt of each person. To ensure infallibility, he needed to read them carefully, analyze them thoughtfully, and verify them repeatedly. The workload was indeed massive.

It took Lin Jie a full two days to review all the assignnts one by one.

On Wednesday night, Lin Jie received a phone call from Chen Shi.

"Lin Jie, I coordinated with Old Tao, and we plan to have lunch together at the university tomorrow noon and et all the project team mbers to get familiar. What do you think?"

"Sounds good, no problem!"

Lin Jie thought of sothing and said, "Yu Jingsheng's inclusion in this project might not be very suitable. I suggest Song Licheng or Lu Xiaoyu. You can choose one of them!"

"Why? I feel Yu Jingsheng has good talent and is very diligent?" Chen Shi asked curiously over the phone.

"Perhaps he's too full of himself!"

Lin Jie calmly said, "On Monday, I assigned howork, and three people didn't submit it, and he's one of them. He might think I'm not qualified to guide him!"

Speaking with a capricious tone, he said, "No matter the real reason, the result is that he didn't submit his howork and gave no explanation. Anyway, I don't have a good impression of him."

"Old Chen, just pick soone else!"

Lin Jie could hear Chen Shi grinding his teeth on the phone. After a few deep breaths, he finally spoke with a voice laced with helplessness, "Let's go with Song Licheng then!"

Not long after, Chen Shi continued, "Your scores for the eleven undergraduate courses are also out, with the highest being 67 and the lowest 64. You've pretty much got that under control!"

Lin Jie pretended not to catch the sarcasm in his tone, chuckled, and said, "As long as I pass, it's fine. There's no point in getting full marks. I don't need these scores to prove myself."

Chen Shi scoffed and said, "If you're truly not trying to prove yourself, why did you write your answers in English to show off your language skills?"

"You might not believe it, but I write in English faster than in Chinese, which saves quite a bit of ti." Explaining, Lin Jie reminded, "Old Chen, Professor Chen, don't forget there's also the postgraduate public course!"

"I haven't forgotten, I'm on it, no worries." With that, he hung up!
