He frowned and said, "Is this when you just got back?"
"Are you going to cook now? How long will that take? I'm really hungry now."
Lin Jie chuckled and said, "It won't take long. My sister has almost everything ready at ho and has ordered takeout; I just need to slice the ready-made food, and we can have dinner!"
Chen Shi pointed at Lin Jie's nose, amused yet speechless, and said, "Kid, this is how you treat to a al?"
Lin Jie said righteously, "You can only bla yourself for picking the wrong ti!"

Chen Shi saw the fatigue on Lin Jie's face and understood, nodding without continuing to nag.
After parking the car, Lin Jie led him to the elevator!
The elevator door opened, and out stepped a man in his forties or fifties with a potbelly!
Seeing Chen Shi, his eyes instantly shone, and he enthusiastically extended both hands to shake Chen Shi's right hand, smiling broadly, "Professor Chen, Director Chen, hello! I didn't expect to see you here! You're here for?"
"Hello, hello!"
Chen Shi smiled perfunctorily, glanced at Lin Jie, and said, "I'm here to visit a young friend!"

As the elevator doors closed, Chen Shi and Lin Jie exchanged glances and said in unison, "Do you know him? Who is he?"
Smiles simultaneously spread across their faces.
Chen Shi chuckled, "Maybe I treated soone in his family or friends; I often encounter such situations outside. They recognize , but I know nothing about them!"
"Since he ca down the elevator, he should be your neighbor. If you don't recognize him, that's another story."
Lin Jie awkwardly laughed and said, "He does look familiar, but I can't recall his na! I haven't lived here long, and I'm always coming and going; it's normal I don't know them."
Once inside the house, Lin Miao warmly greeted, "Uncle Chen, hello, welco to our ho!"
Chen Shi smiled and said, "Hello! What a pretty and spirited young lady you are—a lot more polite than your brother."
After so pleasantries, he noticed the familiar decor and layout in the living room and couldn't help but sigh, "This apartnt was bought at the behest of my sister, and she personally chose the decor. It was ant to be Kexin's marital ho. Alas..."
Lin Jie didn't expect this apartnt to have such a background; he just thought it was one of the An Family's investnts.
Not knowing what to say next, he said, "Miaomiao, you talk with Professor Chen over tea in the living room! I'll check the kitchen to see if there's anything else we need to prepare."
Lin Miao proudly said, "Brother, everything's ready; you and Uncle Chen can wash up, and we can eat right after."
Lin Jie skeptically went to the dining room and indeed found that the table was already set with over a dozen dishes, all steaming hot, not only were the dishes exquisite, but the bowls and plates looked like artworks—not likely to be takeout.

Lin Miao was so pleased her eyes almost turned into slits.
After the three washed up, they sat in the dining room. Lin Jie brought out a more than half-full bottle of premium red wine, poured Chen Shi a glass, and so for himself and Lin Miao.
Chen Shi took a small sip and, being a connoisseur, nodded frequently, happily saying, "You're using such good wine to host ; it's only right as I've gone to great lengths to secure an opportunity for you!"
"Opportunity? What opportunity?" Lin Jie asked curiously.
Chen Shi replied proudly, "An opportunity for you to join Binhai University dical School, an opportunity for you to beco my student."
"I've applied to the school to start a special admission process. As long as you pass the relevant assessnts, you will be my master's student."
