Walking into the waiting hall of Phoenix Mountain Hospital, Luo Wantong noticed it was desolately quiet, not a single patient in sight. He also noticed two nurses boredly playing with their phones, their expressions so gloomy they could drip water.
He walked silently through the hall and entered the elevator.
When the elevator ascended to the twenty-first floor and stopped, as soon as the elevator door opened, Luo Wantong saw Director Dr. Lerrie waiting outside, along with Luo Shanshan.
Unable to hold back any longer, he stepped out of the elevator and asked coldly, "Have you co up with strategies for the current state of the hospital?"
Dr. Lerrie first glanced at Luo Shanshan before speaking, "Vice Director Luo told that due to the negative impact of false advertising by private hospitals, using various advertising thods would instead lower the hospital's reputation in the public's mind."
"Given this situation, we have thought of two solutions."
Luo Wantong walked into the director's office, sat boldly in the main seat of the guest area sofa, and said without much emotion, "Speak!"
Dr. Lerrie sat down opposite and said, "The first is free clinics."
"Go to nursing hos, welfare hos, and old communities where disadvantaged populations are concentrated, to conduct free clinics."
"During this process, we can appropriately find a few difficult cases and provide free treatnt."
"During this period, we can use connections to have the official dia report on us prominently. This way, we not only promote our hospital but also indirectly prove our strong capabilities through the effective treatnt of those cases."
Luo Wantong nodded slowly and said, "This thod is quite acceptable."
"What's the second strategy?"
Dr. Lerrie hesitated for a mont before speaking, "Promotion! Promote from the patient's perspective."
"For example, hire internet users or invite real patients to post in forums and similar places about finding treatnt, using their own words to promote our strength and create so online buzz."
"At the sa ti, invite reputable professionals, movie stars, singers, etc., to engage in soft advertising for the hospital in the role of a patient."
Dr. Lerrie said with so anticipation, "If a highly popular celebrity were to recover from a severe illness through our treatnt, the promotional effect would undoubtedly be imnse!"
Luo Shanshan added, "For example, the famous singer Xiaoxiao, whose fans believe her voice was restored by Lin Jie with her tacit consent."
"And then, the famous local entertainer in Binhai who transitioned from male to female bluntly claid that it was Lin Jie who made her who she is now."
"Just these two individuals alone have made tens of millions aware of Lin Jie and Anlin Hospital."
Luo Wantong looked sharply at Luo Shanshan and asked, "Do you have suitable candidates among these kinds of well-known figures?"
Luo Shanshan shook her head and said, "Not at the mont!"
"Things like this happen by chance and cannot be forced. Generally, when public figures fall ill, they receive treatnt in secret, and it's hard to get the information."
Luo Wantong waved his hand impatiently and said, "Imdiately execute these two strategies with full force."
"Once the hospital's reputation and public image are enhanced, prominent and well-known individuals will co to us automatically, just like Lin..."
At the last mont, Luo Wantong forcibly held back the word "Jie," seemingly very reluctant to ntion this person.
He said with dissatisfaction, "Whether in terms of funding, dical equipnt, or dical resources, we are far beyond Anlin Hospital."
"However, judging by the actual operations of the two hospitals currently, we are being completely overshadowed, and the performance is simply not in the sa league."
"You need to reflect carefully on this contrast."
Dr. Lerrie said seriously, "Chairman, we have considered the reasons."
"Expert Lin is a once-in-a-century dical genius, possessing world-class dical skills, Nobel-level research capabilities, and still being an all-around general practitioner."
"Coupled with his extraordinary life experience, astonishing youth, and remarkably handso appearance, Expert Lin has beco the unique 'Child of Miracles,' almost a god-like existence in the public's mind."
"Under the influence of the halo effect, Anlin Hospital has also beco a place seen as capable of creating miracles in the hearts of the public."
"Unless we too have a legendary presence like Expert Lin, no matter how excellent our Phoenix Mountain Hospital is, it will never compare to Anlin Hospital."
He glanced at Luo Wantong's face, darkened like a pot's bottom, and continued, "Chairman Luo, the new tumor induction therapy pioneered by Expert Lin is highly likely to beco the mainstream thod for treating tumors in the dical field."
"If our hospital's doctors do not master this tumor treatnt thod quickly, we may face the danger of being marginalized within two to three years."
Luo Wantong snorted coldly and said, "Aren't there many doctors from abroad currently learning at Anlin Hospital?"
"Once they have completed their training, we will just poach a few highly skilled ones at a high price."
He paused for a mont and changed the topic, saying, "The group has recently diverted a large amount of capital to invest in another major project, and it will take so ti for the funds to return."
"Therefore, the operational funds needed by the hospital in the near term should be obtained through bank loans."
Luo Wantong, again dissatisfied, said, "Based on the current revenue level of the hospital, we are projecting an annual loss of at least one billion."'
"I do not expect you to achieve a balance of inco and expenditure in the first year, but the first year's loss must be controlled to within half a billion!"
Hearing this figure, Dr. Lerrie's expression turned very grim...
Near six o'clock in the afternoon, Lin Jie walked out of the hospital's Sports Trauma Research Center and saw An Kexin approaching him.
"Ah Jie, do you need a rest?"
Lin Jie shook his head, naturally holding the hand An Kexin handed over, and said, "It was just a five-hour spinal nerve repair surgery, not tiring for ."
"Let's go have dinner together."
Walking side by side, An Kexin chuckled lightly and said, "Many people were disappointed knowing you were performing surgery at the Sports Trauma departnt; they say you should be performing in the teaching operating room."
"This would allow more people to witness your performance, learn, and admire."
Lin Jie smiled faintly and said, "Spinal nerve repair mainly tests technology rather than technique, offering little importance for demonstration teaching."
He then asked with concern, "How did your discussion on the point system go?"
An Kexin brushed a few mischievous strands of hair that had drifted onto her forehead and said, "We all unanimously agreed that it is a good way to effectively motivate exchange doctors to be actively involved."
"Our private investigation of several exchange doctors also confird this point."
"It's just that, Ah Jie, won't it be too hard on you?"
Lin Jie chuckled and said, "Raising the points for redemption will limit the amount of hard work, so it's not a problem."
"In this week's report, I'll show my expertise by openly providing a detailed comntary on Ross's surgery video, letting everyone clearly understand that it's very worthwhile to spend so many points for my review."
"To ensure more effort and dedication from them, the carrot must be big enough..."
Walking into the employee cafeteria, Lin Jie and An Kexin didn't seek any special treatnt, each getting a al and finding a fairly quiet spot to sit and eat.
Tasting the rice, Lin Jie frowned and lanted, "It's really hard to go from luxury back to simplicity."
"Having gotten used to the high-quality rice at ho and in the building's canteen, eating the regular rice here feels sowhat hard to swallow."
An Kexin took a bite of the rice, chuckled lightly, and said, "Your taste is indeed delicate and sensitive; I just find the taste slightly lacking. I'll ntion this to the canteen, have them use high-quality rice in the future."
She boldly declared, "Our hospital doesn't really worry about this small amount of money!"
An Kexin looked at Lin Jie with a smile and said, "Ah Jie, let tell you!"
"The congratulatory money for the opening, the donated inpatient and testing buildings, plus the fiscal subsidies from the national laboratory, the training fees for exchange doctors, and the inco from transferring international training spots, when accounted as our hospital's inco, it covers all the expenses for this year."
"So, achieving profitability in our first year is certainly ensured."
Seeing her happy and proud deanor, Lin Jie was also exceedingly happy, and even the rice didn't seem as bad anymore.
