"Shui Xian!"
Shui Xian almost stumbled down the stairs when he heard the loud voice of his father. He was not expecting it at all. After all, his father had been playing the role of a gentle and understanding father for years now, so he almost forgot how he looked when he was in power.
"What happened?" asked Shui Xian as he ca down to stand in front of his raging father. He did not even know where this rage was coming from. He tried to recall if he had done anything wrong these days but couldn't think of anything. He even refused to have a bachelor party because he had no faith in Cui Xukun and Zhai Yanjun. They both must be looking for chances to trip him up so he was very much against having a bachelor party. He didn't need one either. He wasn't a bachelor and he had already experienced a bachelor party once. He only insisted on a bachelorette party with Raelle because she really hadn't experienced anything like that and he did want her to have all the experiences like any other girl. "Have you signed a pre-nuptial with Raelle?" asked Shui Koshing as he stared at his son with dissatisfaction. "A what?" asked Shui Xian in shock. "A pre-nuptial? Why would I sign that?"
"Because you lost way too much when you had a divorce with Tang Hebe. You paid a heavy price for not signing a pre-nuptial. So, this ti you wanted to cut your losses in case of unforeseen circumstances."
Shui Xian looked so lost and confused listening to those words. He felt like he could understand what his father was saying but at the sa ti, it did not make any sense to him at all either. What the hell! The thought didn't even cross his mind. Where was this pe-nuptial coming from?

Shui Koshing's face hardened when he heard that. He didn't want to hide it from his son so he told him, "People from the clan called to ask about your wedding since I didn't invite anyone from there. So, they started telling how you seem to have learned your lesson after one stumble and are now walking cautiously. They said everyone knows about the pre-nuptial. And it's given after all, whether it's you or Raelle, you can't be joking about your respective assets."
"Believing their nonsense, you started doubting your own son?" asked Shui Xian. "I'm so disappointed in you, Bà."
Shui Koshing was already feeling ashad. "How can you bla ? People had been hinting to about the conspiracy behind your marriage with Raelle Xiang. They all say that for the sake of clinging to the power behind the Xiang family, you are even willing to lower your head in front of Raelle Xiang. Or else, why would you want to marry soone like her?"
"Which bastard is saying such things about my wife?" asked Shui Xian angrily. "What is wrong with her? And why can't I lower my head in front of my own wife? Shui Koshing took in her seriousness and actually smiled. How could he not see that she was trying to protect Shui Xian in her own way? That was how she was. She didn't care about herself but had to care about Shui Xian in everything.
