Hyson covered his head and looked at Raelle defensively, "Jie, be nice. You are getting handsy these days."
"Who told your ability to speak nonsense get worse and worse?" asked Raelle.
"Oh, if I'm talking nonsense, you tell how did I get here?" "You took Xian's private plane here," answered Raelle.
"How do you know that?"
"Even if my husband doesn't tell , he isn't that good at hiding either."
Shui Xian scratched the bridge of his nose sheepishly.
"If you're coming, why didn't you just co with us?" asked Xiang Weimin. "And why bother brother-in-law? Is it okay to use his private plane like this?"
"I don't mind," said Shui Xian. "I ca with Uncle Shing," said Hyson. "He suddenly had to go sowhere and he offered to drop here on the way. I felt like I didn't want to be a light bulb between the two couples. So, I wisely chose to travel today." Then he turned to Raelle, "And Ellie, even if I don't have angels. When I want it, people beco my wings. Just like Uncle Shing beca my wings this ti around."
"Where did Bà go?" asked Raelle.
"I think he went to his hotown," replied Hyson.
"Why?"
"Soone seems to be dying."
"What?"
Hyson shrugged, "That's what he said. He didn't explain anything. So, I believe that he didn't care about this matter. I didn't ask further about people he didn't wanna talk about. I'm just thankful he gave a way out and brought here. If I knew it'd be so boring there, I'd have co with you guys. At least, it's fun to annoy Major Wai."
"Have so respect for , I'm gonna be your sister-in-law!"
"I might respect you more if you said you're my Sister Wai than being my sister-in-law Wai!" He ignored her expression and looked at the food that was being served, "Oh, I'm hungry. What are we having?" He stood up and asked, "Where is the bathroom? I need to wash up a little before I can eat."
Grandfather Xiang asked a maid to show him the way and his smile widened.
"Grandpa, are you that happy to see him here?" asked Xiang Wai.
"Why not?" responded Grandfather Xiang. "I wanted him to co with us but he said he needed to et soone. Why else would I leave him behind when I was bringing my grandkids here. Now, it's fine that all of you are here."
Hyson ca back soon and sat down to eat. "Hyson, your diet!" reminded Raelle.
"Screw it!" said Hyson. "You shouldn't tempt soone who is on a diet. Didn't I say it before? My self-restrain is already bad when it cos to food."
Raelle picked up her chopsticks and clipped so food for herself. Thinking of sothing, she even clipped so fish for Shui Xian too who was flattered by this gesture.
"Wifey, are you on a mission of being a virtuous wife?" he asked.
"Why? I can't play the role?" asked Raelle.
"You can. You can for sure. But I really don't need a virtuous wife."
"You need a caring wife, you don't need a virtuous wife, you don't even need a careful wife. What do you want?"
"I want just a lovely wife. Who just loves ."
"You feed on love?"
"I do! I do feed on love like a vampire feed on blood." He looked so serious that Raelle didn't doubt his words even more a second. She was very sure that he wasn't joking at all. There wasn't even a hint of teasing in his voice. He was way too serious right now.
Everyone at the dinner table suddenly was fed a mouthful of dog food by this couple and didn't know what to say. Only Hyson coughed and shook his head, "Again, love is poisonous."
"What do you even an by this?" asked Xiang Wai.
Hyson chewed a mouthful of food and swallowed before saying, "Isn't it obvious? I just think love is too poisonous. I always had this vague idea but it had been strengthened lately."
"Why?"
Hyson pointed at Raelle, "Do you look at her? She wasn't like this. She changed after falling in love. Unknowingly, her thoughts started revolving around Xian Ge and not only that, she beca considerate in everything. She was the one who didn't even care when she made people cry with their words. She didn't even care when she stabbed Xian Ge in his heart with her words. But now, she always is careful with her words so as not to hurt him." He sighed, "I heard what Opa was saying earlier. And it is obvious that your grandma was also poisoned by love. A strong woman with her own ideas started following the norm for the person she loved. My mother lost her own existence and started living in a bubble because of love. My favorite godmother is also changing. Look at yourself, do you really think love has no effect on you?"
"I never thought about this," said Xiang Wai.
"How can you think when love lowers your IQ?"
Xiang Wai glared at him, "I am so waiting for you to fall in love."
"So am I," said Raelle.
"Ellie!" Hyson looked at her in disbelief.
"I really am looking forward to it. Xian said when people like you fall in love, it's a sight to behold. I'm eagerly looking forward to seeing that sight of your fall."
Hyson put the spicy boiled fish in his mouth and chewed it slowly as he stared at her face trying to see if she was serious. Oh, wait! She was always serious. How could he doubt her intention? "Then you're welco to wait and see. You are here. I'm also here. Let's see my fall together. I'll give you the front row seat with free popcorn."
"I don't need your permission."
"Right. You never needed my permission."
Grandfather Xiang looked at this lively dinner table and found it more and more pleasing to the eye. He was truly happy to see Hyson here. He was still feeling that sothing was missing when he ca here with his three grandkids but now, he felt like everything was fine now. Everything was complete now.
