Chapter 91: Chapter 72: That Chapter

*Modern History (Soul Martial Chapter)* is divided into several major sections. The Battle of Dragon River, a pivotal conflict of imnse significance to the developnt and survival of the Snow Realm, took up a very large portion of the book.

The battle had only taken place in the mid-1990s, and with the current year being just 2010, the fact that this piece of history was already included in every edition of the history textbooks was a testant to its importance.

Yang Chunxi returned to the lectern, opened the book, and pressed down on the pages with her palm. "In this world," she began, "there are nine types of Vortexes in total. Behind every Vortex, there is another world.

Here in Huaxia, there are four types of celestial Vortexes we can access: the Starfield Vortex, the Ocean Vortex, the Molten Rock Vortex, and the Snow Realm Vortex.

And when people bring up the Snow Realm Vortex, there is one na that can never be overlooked..."

SNAP!

A crisp snap!

Yang Chunxi’s gentle words were instantly interrupted.

The students all turned in surprise to look at the one sitting in the back row, in the corner—Xu Taiping!

They saw Xu Taiping with his head lowered. In his pale hand, a gel pen had been snapped in two. Droplets of black ink stained his palm, tracing the faint lines there.

Yang Chunxi raised her eyes slightly, looking at Xu Taiping in the back corner, and said calmly, "Her na is Xu Fenghua. She is widely regarded as the number one Soul of the Outer Region..."

SNAP! CRACK!

The gel pen, already broken in two, was being fiercely crushed in Xu Taiping’s hand, shattering into piece after piece.

"Xu Taiping." Yang Chunxi raised her head and looked directly at him. "Is sothing the matter?"

Xu Taiping’s hand trembled slightly, as if he were desperately holding sothing back. He didn’t respond.

Yang Chunxi’s gentle voice turned stern. "Xu Taiping?" she repeated, her tone heavy.

"N-Nothing’s wrong," Xu Taiping replied softly, his head hanging low.

"Mm." Yang Chunxi humd in acknowledgnt, looked back down at her book, and continued, "The number one Soul of the Outer Region..."

Xu Taiping suddenly spoke up. "Teacher."

Yang Chunxi asked, "Yes?"

Xu Taiping said, "My stomach hurts."

Yang Chunxi looked at Xu Taiping in silence, but he just kept his head down, avoiding eye contact.

After a long mont of silence, Yang Chunxi said, "If your stomach hurts, go to the restroom. Let

be clear: I haven’t given you permission to return to your dorm."

Xu Taiping imdiately stood up, walked straight to the back door, pushed it open, and left.

Rong Taotao suddenly shot to his feet, startling the other students in the class.

Yang Chunxi looked at Rong Taotao and frowned slightly. "What’s wrong with you?"

Rong Taotao’s voice was unusually deep as he said, "My stomach hurts, too."

"You sit..." Yang Chunxi started to say, but stopped abruptly. She hesitated, and after a mont’s thought, she finally said, "Alright, go ahead."

Without another word, Rong Taotao turned and walked out.

’Xu Taiping!’

’You have a problem with Xu Fenghua, is that it!?’

The other students watched him chase after Xu Taiping, then glanced at one another in bewildernt.

Jiao Tengda, however, pushed up his glasses. Looking at the majestic image of the Soul General on the book’s page, he seed to have realized sothing.

Yang Chunxi watched Rong Taotao’s figure disappear from the classroom doorway and couldn’t help but sigh to herself.

’Maybe... it’s ti you knew a few things, too.’

Yang Chunxi said softly, "For now, study on your own. Review the Chapters we’ve already covered. I don’t want to hear any whispering."

With that, Yang Chunxi also walked out of the classroom. But... this ti, her high heels, which should have been making a CLICK-CLACK sound, were completely silent.
