The two entered the office and handed over their credentials.
"Hello, we’re students from Earth. This is the docuntation given to us by the Principal." Leng Wanbai said.
The receptionist, with droopy dead fish eyes, looked up lazily, took the credentials without glancing at them, and asked lethargically,
"Na, age, grade..."
"Leng Wanbai, nineteen, sophomore..."
Leng Wanbai answered truthfully. The receptionist casually recorded the information.
Seeing this, Qin Shou shook his head slightly, feeling a little disappointed.
Are all the people here this gloomy?

Soon, the two finished a series of procedures, left the office, and headed to the base dormitory.
The base dormitory wasn’t separated by gender; it was uniformly arranged underground.
In front of virtual screens, rows of elevators operated efficiently. Beast Tars of Vajra Nine Stars bustled around the base lobby.
"Hey, you’re all newcors... huh? Qin Shou, Leng Wanbai? How is it you two?"
Seeing them just stepping out of the elevator, Li Jing’s shocked gaze froze on the spot. Qin Shou grinned and greeted him.
"Hello, Senior. No wonder I haven’t seen you around recently. Turns out you’re on Monster Planet as well."
Li Jing nodded numbly, quickly regaining his composure.
"Qin Shou... did you two rank up to Vajra Nine Stars?" He swallowed nervously, his eyes brimming with disbelief.
"Yeah, pretty quick, huh?"
Qin Shou chuckled and suddenly noticed quite a few older Beast Tars nearby.
"Senior, what are those uncles doing over there?"
Montarily setting aside his own amazent, Li Jing stepped closer to explain, "Oh, they’re seniors who arrived here a long ti ago. Since they have been unable to rank up to the Unbreakable Realm, they’ve aged over ti and thus beca uncles."
Qin Shou stroked his chin. "Judging by their age, they must be at least forty or fifty—why haven’t they chosen to give up?"
Li Jing shook his head with a bitter smile. "Giving up isn’t as easy as it sounds. Before leaving their hos, they boasted confidently about reaching the Unbreakable Realm. Having said that, they’d lose too much face if they slinked back in failure.
Besides, it’s not easy to return from here to Earth either..."
"You received your points at the registration office, right?" He asked.
Qin Shou nodded, "We got thirty points there. What’s their purpose?"
"Points are incredibly useful. Co on, I’ll take you to the dormitories and explain it slowly."
Li Jing turned and tapped the virtual wall; the elevator began to rise.
Qin Shou and Leng Wanbai stepped into the elevator, and Li Jing selected the underground ninety-ninth floor, causing the elevator to plumt rapidly.
He continued, "Newcors get thirty points for free during registration, but living in the base requires consuming one point daily.
Thirty points an you get to live here for one month for free."
Qin Shou’s face twitched. Who ca up with this points system? It felt so damn familiar.
Li Jing noticed Qin Shou’s "unpleasant" expression and joked, "Points aren’t just for staying in the base or obtaining its protection. You can also use them in the marketplace to buy all sorts of cool stuff: Cosmic Creature tal, Cosmic teorite Gold, Monster Materials—you na it. However, their prices aren’t sothing the average person can stomach.
If you don’t break into the Unbreakable Realm within three years here, returning to Earth will cost you one thousand points to use the Transmission Array.
Many older seniors are stuck here because they can’t scrape together enough points to return to Earth."
"Seriously? How do you even earn points, then?" Qin Shou asked, intrigued.
"Here, check it out."
Li Jing raised his hand as the communicator’s virtual screen displayed various images.
"Sweeping streets, one point per day—barely enough to stay in the base.
Cooking, food delivery, joining the student union—those activities also earn one point each.
By comparison, hunting monsters outside the base earns far more."
Qin Shou suddenly understood. "No wonder that receptionist guy looked so defeated—how is he ever supposed to get back to Earth at this rate?"
The elevator doors opened, and Li Jing led them out, strolling leisurely through a glass corridor.
"I think you an Senior Liu. That guy was once one of the famous figures of Beast Cultivation Main City—stronger than even."
"But after arriving on Monster Planet, he wasted all his savings trying to rank up to the Unbreakable Realm. Not only did he fail, but he also sustained multiple dark injuries, causing his strength to substantially decline. Now he can’t hunt monsters outside the base to earn points, so he’s stuck in the reception area wasting ti."
"Fortunately, by collecting annual bonus points for ten more years, he’ll probably have enough to return to Earth."

"By the way, Senior, how many points can one earn by hunting monsters?" He asked.
