"Du, you lead them away first." Qin Shou said.

"What about you?" Du Zitong looked at Qin Shou.

Qin Shou shook his head, "You retreat first, I still have to... uh, I an, I’ll hold this Muto back."

Du Zitong didn’t hesitate, "Alright, Brother Qin, I’m counting on you."

With that, he waved his hand and led the group out through the tunnel Qin Shou had opened.

Qin Shou: "..."

No parting words? Really?

...

"Hiss..."

The Muto wailed in anguish, while Hillbagon excitedly pounded its triangular head. After a few punches, the tip of the Muto’s nose had completely collapsed, looking utterly miserable.

"Buzz..."

Suddenly, the beaten-down Muto lifted its slender front limbs and barely managed to release an electromagnetic pulse, which directly struck Hillbagon.

Hillbagon froze for a mont, glancing down at the Muto front limbs resting on its chest, as if in disbelief.

Oh great, even in this state you dare to ss with ? You must be looking for death!

"Roar!"

It bellowed furiously and launched another barrage of punches, flattening the Muto to the ground.

Hillbagon doesn’t have any energy attack devices in its body; the electromagnetic pulse energy at most gives it a "relaxing massage," and causes no real harm whatsoever.

After another flurry of punches, the Muto remained in a half-dead state.

Seeing this, Qin Shou couldn’t help but sigh.

"Truly a Titan Giant Beast; beaten to this extent and still not dead. If it were a regular monster, a few punches would’ve finished it off."

This particular Muto monster was rely ordinary. If it had been a Muto Queen of the sa level, Hillbagon wouldn’t have been able to suppress it so easily.

If it were the legendary Mutant Supre, Hillbagon would have been swatted down in just a few hits.

In the comic version, the Mutant Supre was said to rival the King of Monsters.

The birth of a Mutant Supre requires the newborn Muto to compete with countless "brothers and sisters" like Gu Worms, cannibalizing each other until only one remains alive, and then there’s a chance it might evolve into the Mutant Supre.

However, the fact that this Muto managed to grow to Vajra Nine Stars level indicates that there’s no terrifying existence like that here.

"Rumble..."

During his musings, the underground cavern began to shake, rubble sprinkling down as a piercing beast roar echoed from its depths.

"Hiss..."

Instantly, the Muto that had been battered to near death let out a rapid series of cries, as if responding to the presence in the depths of the cavern.

White radiance flashed in Hillbagon’s eyes as it forcefully kicked the Muto into unconsciousness, preparing to confront the incoming enemy.

"Roar!"

Hillbagon hamred its chest in rage, fists striking its impenetrable torso with sparks flying, and let out a deafening roar.

Co on, if you dare co here, I’ll finish you off!

The next mont, it suddenly felt the ground vanish beneath its feet, the sensation of a free fall hitting it once again.

It raised its right claw high and let out a mournful cry.

Ahhh, let finish the fight, you coward...!

Recalling Hillbagon, Qin Shou stored the half-dead Muto in System Space, then summoned Emperor Steed and plunged into the underground.

Judging by that beast roar, it has to be a nightmare-level monster at least.

Ti to skedaddle.

...

Underground, Emperor Steed tunneled through soil and rubble at a steady pace.

Qin Shou’s fingers swiped across the virtual interface, activating the thermal detection instrunt.

The body temperature of Titan Giant Beasts is significantly higher than ordinary monsters, and using the thermal detection instrunt prevents him from accidentally intruding sowhere and getting beaten up unnecessarily.

But as soon as the thermal detection instrunt was activated, familiar electromagnetic pulse energy swept through the underground, causing Emperor Steed’s speed to imdiately drop to a snail’s pace, with the virtual interface going completely dark.

Qin Shou raised an eyebrow—looks like there really are other Mutos here!

After being hit by electromagnetic pulse energy a second ti, Emperor Steed beca useless.

In the narrow underground fissures, Qin Shou retracted Emperor Steed and released a swarm of Gold-eating Insects, ordering them to devour minerals underground and carve out a passage.

For safety, Qin Shou switched to a different set of battle armor, took out another thermal detection device, and continued his investigations.

After what seed like an eternity, Qin Shou had cycled through several waves of full-bellied Gold-eating Insects and finally found what he was looking for.

...

"Click click..."

In the vast underground cavern, a sudden fissure appeared on a corner of the stone wall, and a handful of Gold-eating Insects flew out of the hole, circled around briefly, and returned.

Soon after, Qin Shou poked his head out. Within the Emperor Rider mask covering his face, he could clearly see that in the pitch-black cavern, dozens of massive yet abnormally weak monsters lay sprawled across the ground.

Their abdons occasionally emitted a faint radiance, as though sothing inside was absorbing their energy, leaving them in a depleted state.

Seeing this, Qin Shou took out Big Big Wolf’s customized detector, scanning the glowing light in one of the monster’s abdons from afar.

As expected, the instrunt quickly identified the contents of the monster’s abdon.

"Sure enough, Muto Eggs!" Qin Shou’s face lit up with a smile.

His guess was spot-on. The previous Muto had shown no interest in humans, and was instead intent on capturing beasts—not for consumption, but to provide biological energy for the Muto Eggs.

Muto Eggs don’t necessarily need to incubate inside Godzilla.

As long as they find places rich in energy, Muto Eggs can still be hatched.

However, to accelerate the hatching process, Mutos may capture other monsters to let the Muto Eggs siphon energy for quicker incubation.

These monsters mostly live underground; captured by Mutos to serve as tools for hatching Muto Eggs, their excessive energy depletion leads them to the brink of death.

"Zzz..."

Soon, the detector’s screen blacked out under the influence of the cavern’s magnetic field.

Qin Shou didn’t mind. He cautiously squeezed further into the opening, half of his body now out, pondering ways to quietly steal the Muto Eggs.
