"To see no towering mountain because one leaf blocks the view", Feng Xue truly hadn’t connected the train with Infinite City before the additional words appeared above Lin Jiaxin’s head.
However, after considering Kaidan’s need to "be cognized", everything seed natural.
Yet the problem wasn’t resolved.
Because there was a fundantal difference between train K7 and Infinite City, which was that the passengers in the train lacked the autonomy typical of Infinite City’s citizens.
Although it seed that Lin Jiaxin, Mango Girl, and Bread Girl each had an independent "character setup", their exhibited behaviors were quite chanical, whether it was their ability to refresh or their disregard for the Kaidan chanisms, were all fundantally different from Infinite City’s citizens.
After a mont of thought, Feng Xue suddenly reached into her waist bag, pulled out a copper whistle the size of a thumbnail, and blew it, producing an erratic whistle sound.
Lin Jiaxin, who had been reading by the bed, suddenly turned red-faced. After struggling with herself for a mont, she finally stood up abruptly and left the room at a trot.
"Tsk tsk, there really isn’t a useless tool, huh? Even a comical item like this can be useful at tis."
Na: Phantom Object·Copper Whistle
Elent: [Tool], [Instrunt], [Blow], [Stimulate]
Description: A whistle made of three thin tal plates, perfect for children who want to whistle but just can’t seem to make it sound.
However, be mindful that its offbeat whistling sound can stimulate the bladder, inadvertently causing one to miss the chance to go to the bathroom.
Note: Whistling outside a window in a house with children at midnight is an utterly despicable act.
...
Feng Xue spat out the copper whistle, put it back in her waist bag, and rose to go to the center of the room. With her mind setting into motion, a box, as if cast from gold, erged from the void and opened to reveal Santa Claus’s sack which she emptied out, tumbling two people onto the floor.
Bread Girl scread the mont she hit the floor, while Mango Girl stared wide-eyed, furiously demanding,
"What exactly are you trying to do? I’m going to call..."
Her words were cut off as both of their voices stalled because two won had suddenly appeared in front of them.
Aside from wearing school uniforms that did not match their ages, the two looked as if they had seen their own reflections in a mirror. These two passengers, just freed from the nightmare of high school weeklong exams, also cried out in shock at the sight of their identical "selves".
"Who are you?!"
Almost simultaneously, this question echoed from all four of them in the cabin, Feng Xue calmly sat by the bed, watching two pairs of twin-like roommates bicker.
"I am the real one!"
"No, I am the real one!"
"You are clearly fake! I’m already twenty-four, why would I be wearing a school uniform!"
"Bah! If I hadn’t inexplicably been transported to that damn school, I wouldn’t want to wear the school uniform at all!"
...
"Interesting, they weren’t refreshed nor rged, it’s as if they truly believe they are who they are, and... it seems like this train doesn’t plan to intervene either."
Feng Xue watched the won arguing, gently tapped the small bell at her waist, and the sound of the Pardon Bell echoed, bringing a clear distinction between the four.
Those two wearing school uniforms naturally showed the Pardon Mark above their heads, the color approximately the sa as ordinary people’s.
The other two, however, showed nothing, completely hiding their past of having tricked the ghost girl, Lin Jiaxin, to death nurous tis.
"That ans, those who first boarded were probably all good seeds, but for so reason, after the first round where three were sent to school, only Lin Jiaxin kept updating, while the other two, after being refreshed, beca vassals of the train Kaidan."
Feng Xue mumbled to herself, just then, Lin Jiaxin, who had been sent to the toilet by the whistle, also opened the door, staring wide-eyed at the two pairs of twin-like roommates:
"Hadn’t you all already left the train? And why are there two of you? Am I dreaming?"
"I wish I was dreaming!" Both Mango Girls said in unison, then paused slightly, staring and scolding at each other, "Don’t copy !"
This synchronization of over 400% left Lin Jiaxin utterly bewildered, however, what followed was even more baffling—
Two more Lin Jiaxins appeared in the room.
"How co there’s another you?!"
The room originally for four suddenly beca for eight, and the already loud debate escalated another notch. However, what Feng Xue cared about was that after these three Lin Jiaxins t, their situation was completely unlike the other two groups, for the tags of [Survivor] began to erge above the heads of the ghost girl Lin Jiaxin and the original Lin Jiaxin.
"It’s almost like cloud syncing."
Feng Xue enjoyed the chaos before her, waiting for the train’s final judgnt, occasionally tapping the Pardon Bell to check the current state of the seven individuals.
Through the gaze of Oathkeeper’s Appearance, Feng Xue marked each person and processed their nurical designation, but while she was casually observing, Bread Girl 2 suddenly turned her head, looking at Feng Xue saying:
"It must be you who did sothing, right? Earlier it was you who stuffed Xu Ruyi and into the sack!"
"Ah yes, yes, yes." Feng Xue nodded calmly, and then the seven went back to arguing amongst themselves.
"No immunity to ’ah yes, yes, yes’, it looks like it was indeed a switch of people rather than a refresh."
Wrapped in a small quilt, Feng Xue leaned against the corner of the wall quietly waiting; she was curious how this "malicious bug" would be handled by the train, or perhaps, it would do nothing and let them destroy each other?
Thinking about the possible thods of murder in this room, Feng Xue involuntarily directed his gaze towards the still-red garbage bin and the tightly closed window.
However, to his surprise, what ca first was a knock on the door.
"Excuse us, we have received a complaint about this compartnt... hmm, could you passengers please show your tickets? Dodging the fare through multiple tickets for twins is a very egregious act."
The conductor, dressed in a blue uniform, saw the eight people in the room, imdiately turned serious, and spoke.
"Yes, the tickets!" Hearing the conductor’s words, Mango Girl as if enlightened, instantly fished out a ticket stub from her pocket, and Mango Girl 2 also almost simultaneously pulled out an identical ticket stub.
The conductor, seeing two ticket stubs even with the sa seat numbers, was completely overwheld, imdiately turning to look at the other few.
But the result was exactly the sa, even if forced to change into school uniforms, these passengers could all produce their own ticket stubs from their pockets.
The compartnt was briefly silent, even the conductor seed stunned, after a good twenty-second freeze, finally spoke:
"Please wait, I need to verify these tickets!"
