Walking on a road that seed to be piled up with garbage, Dunn nonetheless felt an oddly familiar sensation. One had to admit, this dump bore a certain resemblance to the waste yard of Infinite City.

If there was a difference, it was that everything laid out here was True Object.

Using Divination Staff Skill to find the path naturally drew a wave of sarcasm in the live stream, but Dunn didn’t feel the slightest bit guilty about it. Instead, he tauntingly responded with his usual catchphrase, "I believe myself to be educated and a mber of high society."

As the last of the potato chips in his hand were finished, traces of corpses finally began to appear in his field of vision.

[Ah, more mummies. Judging by the clothing, it looks like a uniform. Wonder what sort of ghost this is now?]

[Anyway, it’s not a female ghost.]

[You dare assu the gender of a ghost?]

[F*ck!]

The flamboyant quarrels in the barrage made Feng Xue sowhat unable to discern whether this was friendly mobilization or wild growth. The Cyberpunk World’s internet environnt was... quite interesting, to say the least.

He montarily sensed the position of the gambling ghost, not going in circles, but using the stick with the "Divination Staff" function to point in the direction. Step by step, he crunched over miscellaneous items, arriving at a more open area.

If one disregarded the scattered junk across the ground, clear bullet holes could be seen, and there were toppled chas and a billboard that had been blasted to smithereens at the side of the road. The scene abruptly shifted from a rubbish dump to a post-apocalyptic battlefield.

As the military enthusiasts in the barrage began to distinguish the types of equipnt on the corpses and the manufacturers of the chas, Dunn suddenly kicked a barrel of cooking oil that was by the roadside.

Before the audience could comnt, the barrel of cooking oil exploded with a bang, and as the fuel splattered, a sowhat illusory figure slowly erged in the air.

[Holy sh*t!]

[Holy sh*t!]

[Holy sh*t!]

...

A series of expletives from this world filled the screen; Dunn’s face darkened as he hugged his foot and hopped back on one leg while saying,

"Damn, is this oil barrel that hard? I an... cough cough, anyway, the oil is a semi-transparent, viscous substance that can help reveal invisible ghosts. And as for where to throw it, can’t you just use visual enhancent devices?"

[But if I can see it with my visual enhancent device, why bother throwing oil?]

[Is there a possibility it was for the viewers who get dizzy from the visual enhancents?]

Though there was still joking dialog in the barrage, the re ability to see them already indicated that the barrage had thinned out considerably.

It wasn’t that the audience was scarce, but at that mont, everyone was staring blankly at the ghostly being that had appeared.

It was an almost five-ter-tall translucent giant phantom. At first glance, it could be described as vaguely human-shaped. But looking closer, the withered, branch-like tentacles and the eye-filled, massive, dice-like head brought about a strong sense of physical discomfort.

"Do you... want to... gamble?"

The grating noise mixed with static, which made listeners feel dizzy just hearing it, began to echo in the stream, and many viewers felt a surge of nausea.

However, this feeling was just like spinning in place three tis; one simply needed to steady their spirits to recover.

Thus, after a brief silence in the barrage, a vengeful explosion of comnts began.

"Fucking hell, is this the gambler ghost?"

"Judging by the head, it must be the gambler ghost, right?"

"So you’re saying if Esgrave didn’t care, he’d turn out like this?"

"Exactly how many people has this thing killed?"

"Can it get any bigger?"

"How do we even catch this?"

...

A barrage of comnts covered the entire main screen. Dunn raised an eyebrow, looking at the five-ter-tall monster, he said sternly,

"Gamble my ass!"

After saying that, he looked around, his eyes suddenly lit up. Amidst the tugging chain and grating roar, a chainsaw began spinning wildly.

Holding the chainsaw in one hand, he struck a cocky pose. The previously oppressive composition instantly changed.

The sense that the ghost was strong and the human weak dissipated with the appearance of the chainsaw. At that mont, the audience in front of the screen actually felt like the five-ter-tall ghost was the underdog.

Dunn drew a Pocky stick from a box resembling a pack of cigarettes and placed it in his mouth as if it were a cigarette. He brandished the chainsaw arrogantly and said with a flourish,

"Dear viewers, rember, although a chainsaw seems intimidating and can make people talk nicely to you, it’s a weapon whose intimidation factor far outweighs its combat effectiveness. It’s not great for chopping people, easily getting jamd by bones or flesh. But, why is it the best weapon against ghosts? Because it bolsters courage! Do you all still rember what I said about facing ghosts?"

"Don’t be afraid?"

The chat instantly responded with the appropriate reply. With so many comnts piling up, Feng Xue didn’t know if anyone had actually said it, but he believed the audience probably didn’t know either. So, he naturally said,

"That’s right, ’don’t be afraid!’ Rember, ghosts aren’t scary. If you’re not scared, the ghost will be scared of you! And the chainsaw is the tool that makes you feel you’re scarier!"

With those words, he stepped forward like Leatherface from ’The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.’ The giant five-ter shadow actually seed startled and took a half step back. But before the audience could send ’How is that possible?’ comnts, the ghost seed to rember it was the scary one and stepped back to its original spot.

As if feeling that wasn’t enough, after returning to its spot, it took two steps forward. However, this act did not convey horror. Instead, it made people feel—

Is this thing kind of dumb?

Dunn, who had co to catch the ghost, certainly didn’t coddle it. When the ghost stepped forward, so did he. The two approached each other face to face in a weird composition that managed to be almost comical (think of the encounter between Granny Wong from ’Transforrs’ and a killing machine), until they were just two ters apart and Dunn had to look up to see the dice-shaped head covered in countless eyes, where they then stopped and stared at each other.

Then...

I swung!

Without any warning, Dunn fiercely swung the chainsaw. With no sportsmanship at all, he launched a surprise attack on the ghost in front of him.

The horizontal chainsaw slice cut through the ghost as easily as a hot knife through butter, severing it at the knees, and even after it was shortened, the ghost didn’t seem to understand what had happened.

"See that? Theoretically, cutting with a chainsaw shouldn’t be this smooth, but since I felt it could be cut and you all felt it could be cut, the ghost got chopped. That’s what we call ’Heart Over Matter’..."

"Uh, Strear, instead of lecturing, you should probably run now!"

Seeing the reminder from the comnts, Dunn suddenly looked up only to see countless branches bursting out from the ghost which had just realized it had been sliced.

"Fucking hell!"
