"Was really not attacked?" In the early morning, Feng Xue slowly erged from his ditation state, plucking the hotown tree from the flower pot next to the bowl of water, muttering with so surprise.

Although what those two n who looked human said yesterday made sense, it was far from enough to earn Feng Xue’s trust.

After tidying up a bit, Feng Xue pushed open the door of the guest room and saw several people eating breakfast in the lobby downstairs. Apart from yesterday’s man in white and the seemingly-nad Blue couple, there was a stranger with a reasonably normal appearance, looking like the inn’s server from the way he was handling the food.

Breakfast consisted of stead buns, white porridge, and pickled vegetables, which seed quite standard—still, Feng Xue had no intention of ordering and simply pushed the door, planning to leave.

"Hey, young man, we’re about to head out. Do you want to join us? It’s better to have more people around for so support—otherwise, it’s hard to sleep peacefully at night."

Seeing Feng Xue about to go, the man in white imdiately spoke up, yet Feng Xue simply shook his head.

Seeing this, the man in white did not press further and let Feng Xue leave the wilderness inn. Mr. Blue, on the other hand, blinked his eight eyes and smiled, saying:

"This newcor has good vigilance; he should be able to survive a bit longer."

"Hope so, the quality of the newcors these past few years has been declining..." The man in white shook his head, while Mrs. Blue with gill-like slits on her face added:

"There’s no helping it. After all, the experience of fighting with humans isn’t very useful against those from the Demon Sect."

"Not just that. Nowadays, even Sunset Tower and Sentint Path have made peace. I feel like these youngsters will lack even life-and-death combat experience against other people!"

The man in white sighed, his expression complicated. Mrs. Blue, hearing this, also sighed:

"We can’t afford internal strife at this ti, right?"

"You folks need not worry about that." The accountant who ca from the backyard held a piece of paper with his long, slim fingers, speaking with a sowhat relieved look:

"The latest news from Central State is that the newcors from the Demon Extermination Departnt are already on their way and will arrive in at most half a month. The pressure should drop significantly by then."

"That is indeed good news..."

...

Feng Xue wasn’t interested in the events at the wilderness inn. Right now, he wished he could skip the complex mapping stage like so non-plot-focused players do and go straight into a killing spree.

However, the problem was that along the way, there wasn’t a single person or animal in sight—not even a small one, except for a few flying insects.

"Fuck it!" Feng Xue quickly grew bored with the monotonous wilderness and reached into his waist pouch for a wrapped bundle. Unwrapping it, an off-road motorcycle appeared before his eyes.

Feng Xue didn’t say a word. He straddled the motorcycle, and as the Orca Power unfolded, the style of the motorbike beneath him transford instantly. Twisting the throttle, the engine roared, and the spinning tires kicked up sandstone, turning into a streak of black and white light, speeding off into the distance.

"Aweso!" Feng Xue kept twisting the throttle, enjoying the thrill of speeding through the wilderness. Perhaps the steel beast’s roar was too piercing, but a sense of crisis suddenly arose in his heart.

It wasn’t the keen intuition of an assassin, but rather the "Arrow Avoidance Protection" from the Swearer!

"Transform!"

Not yet knowing if he was affected by the erosion, Feng Xue had prepared in advance. Without even a dramatic pose, he simply pressed down on the lever, and the cup-like transformation chanism rose around the racing motorbike. With the overly dramatic sound effects, Feng Xue once again transford into the Masked Rider Orca!

"Bang!"

As Feng Xue completed his transformation, the impact from the assailant, who had co from afar, finally arrived. Yet, under the safety design of a 22nd-century children’s toy, such an attack rely caused him to stagger, without even flipping his motorcycle.

He brought the bike to a stop, but Feng Xue didn’t launch a counterattack right away because he knew that with his current appearance in this world, he might be mistaken for a Demon Cultivator from the Demon Sect. However, when he dismounted his bike and saw the person who sneaked up on him, that thought dissipated.

Before him stood a young man about one ter ninety in height, his upper body bare, muscles twisted and prominent. However, what was notable were the color patches on his chest, shoulders, waist, and forehead that were sowhat murky in hue.

There was no doubt that this was a typical mber of the Demon Sect.

"This is interesting armor; it managed to block my attack. Is this a new toy developed by humans?" A sowhat grating voice ca out of the young man’s mouth, his villainous face almost literally screaming, "I am the monster here."

"So you call human, which ans you no longer consider yourself one?" Feng Xue glanced at the grand image reflected in his view by the Masked Rider Armor, but upon closer inspection, he noticed that the armor’s display was full of aningless symbols, cool but useless.

"Well, I can’t expect a children’s toy to co with any sort of analytical function." Feng Xue kept his gaze fixed on the young man before him, silently activating the extre survival mode of his Knight Armor. As a children’s toy of the 22nd century, its performance was robust enough to let soone move on the surface of a star for an hour. He believed it was certainly adequate to defend against unknown pollutants.

Although the young man before him, patches and all, looked more human than most he had encountered in the outback tavern, Feng Xue had already confird that this Demon Path demon was indeed a villain, not an Awakener like those encountered in shoddy parasitic immortal cultivation stories.

After all, compared to the "Jianghu seniors" in the tavern who, despite their fierce appearance, had a calm and gentle spirit, the guy before him may have looked human, but his entire being was filled with a nauseating, twisted malice.

"Human? Don’t make laugh! I am not one of those lower beings..."

"Boom!"

The powerful impact created a deep dent in the young man’s torso. Even as he was hit, he tried to leap backward but failed to completely dissipate the force.

"Open!" With a shout, patches under the youth’s ribs suddenly squird, and a pair of fleshy wings, dripping with murky fluid, burst through the flesh, lifting him into the air. Looking at Feng Xue, who had attacked him before he could finish speaking, he taunted with a bloodied mouth,

"Lower beings will always be lower beings. No matter how strong you are, against who can fly, what can you..."

This ti, the young man closed his own mouth, because Feng Xue’s black and white armor had already appeared right in front of him—

"Who are you calling lower?"

The armored fist, accompanied by the words that reached his ears, smashed into his face, breaking his nose bridge and facial bones along with the sound of splintering bones.

Bang!

The winged man was slamd face-down into the ground by Feng Xue; the back of his head caved in upon contact with the ground, and his entire face was now only as thick as a pancake, murky fluid dripping down from Feng Xue’s fist.

However, the body whose head had been completely smashed did not die. The patches on his body wriggled, as tentacles, limbs, and sharp claws burst forth almost simultaneously, enclosing Feng Xue completely like a cage. Bone spurs shining with light pointed at the weak joints of his armor, poised to tear Feng Xue apart in the next mont.

But then.

Everything ca to an abrupt halt.

As a clang resounded like clashing tal, the tentacles, limbs, and sharp bone claws all stopped the mont they touched the Knight Armor.

It was as if their force had vanished in an instant.

"22nd-century children’s toys really do have guaranteed safety!"
