Na: Phantom Object·Blood Bottle

Elents: [Tool],[Blood],[dicine],[Treatnt]

Description: A common ga tool used to replenish life force and stamina. After ingestion, it can heal most internal/external injuries, but can’t remove toxins. However, it can repair damage caused by toxins.

Note: Rember to eat the bottle too!

"Freaking hell, eat the bottle too!" Feng Xue tossed the salt that had appeared in her hand back onto the sofa and then picked up the Blood Bottle to have a taste.

Hmm, not like rock candy or anything, probably just a glass bottle—could also be a crystal bottle.

Is this thing even edible?

Does it replenish more blood than you bleed internally?

After so thought, Feng Xue decided to take this thing to the black market later, since those suckers can’t see the note. Perhaps this kind of potion could even fetch a good price.

As for herself, Silent Boots were sufficient. After all, taking a swig of dicine during combat was already disruptive enough, not to ntion eating a glass bottle the size of a baby’s fist...

With that thought, Feng Xue turned her attention away from the potion and focused on the last item, the "Madman’s Diary."

Taking a mont to steady her breathing, she decided to invest a bit more this ti.

She chose the Madness elent and then directly inputted 9999 in the Identity column. As she pressed the confirm button, the entire Madman’s Diary began to twist.

However, unlike the previous Refining twist, this alteration seed more like an expansion from inside out. The thin booklet swelled before her very eyes into a ten-centiter-thick to filled with all sorts of strange symbols.

Feng Xue, possibly due to the translation Muyu or Infinite City’s power, could comprehend the anings of the symbols on the book—

History.

"Did I just... strike gold?" Feng Xue didn’t imdiately touch the book; instead, she stepped back because she instinctively felt that a history book created from the Madman’s Diary and Madness elent was definitely not a good thing.

She quickly brought up the Identity function, and the attributes of the phantom object appeared before her eyes—

Na: Phantom Object·History of Eating People

Elents: [Eating People],[Book],[History],[Madness]

Description: A history encyclopedia that looks utterly unremarkable. Each page has the words "benevolence, righteousness, and morality" written on it. However, if soone tries to look through the gaps between the characters, they will be consud by it.

Note: Don’t ask how to look through the gaps between the characters!

"Damn!" Feng Xue thrust a knife directly into the book’s cover, and a weird, viscous blood gushed from the "wound," its thick red color making Feng Xue exceedingly uncomfortable.

Without hesitation, Feng Xue swung her knife even more swiftly because she didn’t even know whether looking at the text on the book cover diagonally counted as looking through the gaps between the characters.

A magical Phantom Object in the form of a book was slashed into pieces in an instant, turning into a pile of shredded paper, yet Feng Xue felt not an ounce of sorrow; instead, he heaved a sigh of relief.

Having lived in Infinite City for so long, he had co to understand the terrifying rule of "the setting is greater than the heavens" in this world: if it says it’s Eating People, it eats people—once a rule is triggered, unless you possess the corresponding elents (such as [Non-Human]), you’d be devoured by it.

Casually casting Refining over the scattered remains of the book’s pages, Feng Xue attempted to Recycle sothing. Although a destroyed Phantom Object would beco a Pseudo Artifact (excluding those with special elents), it was still a whole. Refining one piece was essentially refining them all together; there was no bug that allowed it to be split into hundreds of separate pieces for individual refining.

When those Phantom Object remains vanished, Feng Xue’s eyebrows slightly raised—because this ti, it seed he had really made sothing quite remarkable—

Elent, [Book].

"Hehe, isn’t this a Skill Book Entry Voucher?"

Looking at this Book elent, Feng Xue’s face revealed an extraordinarily artistic smile, but he quickly pinched his cheeks, forcibly bringing his expression back under control.

"Crafting a Phantom Object, then destroying it to Recycle the Book elent, seems to be a decent approach. It’s just that the books themselves are sowhat difficult to forge. Speaking of that, did this Phantom Object appear because I previously invested 9999?"

Feng Xue looked at the Book elent in the elent bar and couldn’t help feeling restless, but he ultimately did not rush the process, instead forcing himself to calm down. He took out the Secret Manual for Life-taking Thirteen Swords and copied it again, but this ti not in cursive but in regular script with a hard pen.

This ti Feng Xue copied with particular care, as if he wanted to infuse his Spirit into it. With the advancent of his Swordsmanship skills, he was now able to understand the first six swords of the Life-taking Thirteen Swords. He couldn’t say they were ready at hand, but with a short period of practice, he should be able to wield them.

However, now was not the ti to ponder these things. Once the Secret Manual was recopied, Feng Xue still bound it together slowly and thodically with needle and thread, then trimd the edges neatly with a cutter.

"Hmm, later I’ll place an order in the black market, inquire if there’s sothing like a sewing machine among the Phantom Objects. It would be better if the edges of this Secret Manual could be bound," Feng Xue thought regrettably about the appearance of the Secret Manual he created, but his sewing was clearly not skilful enough to perform the high-end operation of manual edge binding.

After a bit of regret, he carefully inserted the [Book] elent into the book, followed by 9999 [Identity].

Then...

Nothing happened.

No, sothing did happen!

As the Book elent rged with the Secret Manual, the elents inside Feng Xue’s body again began to twist and coalesce. This sensation was not unfamiliar to Feng Xue; it was a sign of an [Identity Tag] forming.

Even though the [Copyist] tag coalesced within his body, Feng Xue found it very strange; it wasn’t as if he hadn’t done Refining and forging within Infinite City before, but Infinite City never gave him a Blacksmith tag just because he created a Phantom Object Weapon!

Or to go further, not counting Skill Discs, he had already created two Secret Manuals—so why did he receive this tag only now?

Could it be there was a number limit?

Or was it because he had been serious about copying before?

Feng Xue did not know the specific reason, and the [Copyist] tag contained no detailed thods for coalescing. He roughly examined the tag and was surprised to find that one of the elents had already been activated—

[Copying].

"The Copying elent is activated; can it further enhance the Speed and Accuracy of copying text?" Feng Xue sensed the functionality of the tag, skimd the catalogue of Knowledge provided by the Copyist, and found that most of it was about how to reproduce the original book as closely as possible. For now, he set his attention aside and refocused it on the Secret Manual for the Life-taking Thirteen Swords.

Yet, to his disappointnt and surprise, the Secret Manual had not beco a Phantom Object but, like the Pocket Watch that originally only had the elents [Ti] and [Stop], beca a Pseudo Artifact with elents.

[Book], [Swordsmanship], [Assassin]

Among the three elents on the Pseudo Artifact, [Book] was obviously the one he had inserted, while the latter two appeared to have mutated out of nowhere. But looking at these two elents, Feng Xue’s heart inexplicably sparked a certain idea...
