1354 Deep in the Cave
“Could there be a teleportation door there?”
Chu Nan and Angie Prairie frowned at the sa ti with puzzled expressions.
If there was really a teleportation door in front of them, logically speaking, they should be able to rely on the special and intense spatial energy fluctuation in the teleportation to sense it in advance. However, in their senses, there was not much special about the area in front of them and they could not sense the existence of the teleportation door at all.
However, it was still a good thing if there was really a teleportation door, because when attacking the teleportation door, the group of strange birds would clearly reveal a flaw. A sneak attack at this mont could save a lot of effort.
“Let’s go take a look.”
Chu Nan waved his hand and flew over with Angie Prairie.
In a few breaths, the two of them had already flown into the sky. When they arrived above the place where the group of strange birds had pounced down, they lowered their heads and were stunned.
A huge hole actually appeared in the ground below. The light in the hole was dark and bottomless, looking like a huge mouth had opened on the ground.
“Are you going down?” Angie Prairie asked Chu Nan.
Chu Nan frowned and let go of his senses, but he discovered that his senses would encounter so obstruction when they reached a place that was not deep in the cave. He could not enter at all.
“It’s very strange…” Chu Nan thought for a mont and said to Angie Prairie, “Wait outside. I’ll go in and investigate. Be prepared to receive at any ti.”
This ti, Angie Prairie did not decisively agree. Instead, she grabbed Chu Nan who was about to move.
“I’ll go down too.”
Looking at Angie Prairie’s firm expression, Chu Nan was stunned.
“Why? There might be so danger down here. It’s the best choice for you to stay outside and pick up.”
“No, ever since you fell into the stargate last ti, I’ve decided that no matter what happens in the future, I won’t let you take the risk alone. Even if we die, we have to die together.”
Angie Prairie did not deliberately emphasize her tone. Her expression was only slightly firm and not impassioned as if she was talking about a very simple matter. However, the more this was the case, the warr Chu Nan felt in his heart.
He smiled and held Angie Prairie’s hand.
“Alright, let’s go together.”
The two of them moved and entered the cave.
As soon as they entered the cave, the two of them did not feel any difference. However, after going deeper, the two of them imdiately discovered that the environnt in the cave was clearly different from the outside world. Not only was the spatial energy environnt no longer as dense and sticky as the outside world, but even the gravity environnt inside had also clearly eased greatly.
Feeling his body lighten, data flowed through Chu Nan’s mind and he quickly determined that the gravity here was basically close to the gravity environnt of Earth. It was a very suitable environnt for human survival.
After turning this corner, he saw a trace of light begin to appear in front of him.
In the darkness, Chu Nan and Angie Prairie looked at each other and stretched out their hands to pinch each other.
With the tacit understanding that the two of them had experienced life and death countless tis, they understood the other party’s aning without saying anything. Chu Nan’s figure moved and he accelerated to rush forward. Angie Prairie was slightly behind and focused more on the situation elsewhere in the passageway.
The light ahead beca more and more obvious and brighter. Soon, he could see the situation in the passageway with his naked eye.
Their gazes swept past and their hearts were imdiately filled with surprise.
When they ca down from the hole above, they had already sensed that this passageway did not look like a naturally ford passageway. It looked very artificial.
However, this was the 40th floor of the Endless Abyss after all. They were not familiar with this place, so they did not dare to jump to conclusions.
When they saw the situation in the passageway, they imdiately made a judgnt.
This place was definitely artificial!
The passageway was long and narrow, and it was half a cylindrical shape. At a glance, one could discover that the size of the entire passageway was completely identical and did not change at all.
Just this point was enough to prove that this passageway was definitely not naturally ford.
Most importantly, the walls on both sides of the passageway were not naturally ford rocks or soil. They were clearly made of a special alloy!
Through the light, it could be seen that the wall was still reflecting the special luster of tal.
How could such a special alloy be naturally produced? Of course, it was even more impossible for it to be made by a mutated beast.
Chu Nan and Angie Prairie could not help but look at each other and see the dense doubt in each other’s eyes.
They had gone all the way from the first floor of the Endless Abyss to the 40th floor. Before this, although they could occasionally see buildings that were clearly made by humans and even see a small town where humans gathered on the 13th floor with the best environnt, they had never discovered a building like an underground base like this.
Moreover, just a passageway here looked filled with technology. The sophistication displayed was far from what the simple buildings he had seen previously could compare to.
“Could it be a secret base set up by the Declan Empire here?” Angie Prairie’s voice entered Chu Nan’s ears through the microwave vibration of spatial energy.
Chu Nan’s heart stirred and he looked at Angie Prairie with joy.
Angie Prairie being able to master the technique of microwave vibration voice transmission through spatial energy here proved that her control of spatial energy in this environnt had reached an extrely high level. This also ant that even if the strength she could unleash now might not be as powerful as outside the Endless Abyss, it would not be much inferior.
At such a ti when she could encounter unknown danger at any ti, it was naturally good news that Angie Prairie could recover her strength.
Then, he shook his head and also used spatial energy to microwave vibration to send a voice transmission.
“I don’t think so. If it was the Declan Empire, they wouldn’t have done it so secretly. Moreover, those strange birds flew in just now. If they’re related to the Declan Empire, why would they destroy the teleportation door? It’s aningless, right?”
Angie Prairie thought for a mont and nodded in agreent.
The two of them continued to move forward.
As the light beca brighter, the scene in the passageway beca clearer.
After walking for a while, a new passageway suddenly appeared on the wall on the left of the passageway that stretched in the other direction. However, at a glance, he discovered that it was blocked by a door.
“Did those strange birds leave from here?”
Angie Prairie sent a voice transmission to Chu Nan and walked into the new passageway. She fumbled along the door and tried to find a switch.
As soon as she touched the middle of the door, Chu Nan suddenly felt a sense of danger.
