"Yuan, wait—what are you talking about?" Chairman Mao stepped quickly in front of Lee Jinhyuk, pretending to shield the alpha from the furious S-class oga.
Shen Yuan’s raised voice instantly drew the attention of the resting guild masters. In seconds, they gathered around—only to spot the four unconscious staff mbers Bai Tingfeng was casually dragging behind Shen Yuan.
"What’s this?" Several of them asked.
Several of them who are aware of today’s secret operation had their hearts beating fast. Their eyes were silently asking if this was the signal to corner the Cardinals’ terrorist.
Unlucky for them, Shen Yuan and Chairman Mao, these cunning schers, don’t have ti to answer them. They are too imrsed in acting the good cop, bad cop skit that they impulsively start.
Yes, Chairman Mao doesn’t know what Shen Yuan had with him. When Shen Yuan inford him that he would take charge of cornering Lee Jinhyuk, he was skeptical , but at the sa ti, curious how Shen Yuan would go about it.
In the end, his curiosity got the best of him. He let Shen Yuan on his own devices.
However, instead of just watching from the sidelines, he decided to join the fun.
It is not fair that only Shen Yuan enjoys toying with these blasted terrorists!
"Yuan, I swear. Assaulting an innocent person goes against every law. Even if you are an S-class awakener, you will not be excused for what you have done!"
Gasps rang sporadically from the crowd.
"Innocent?" Shen Yuan snickered. He looked behind Chairman Mao and sarcastically smirked at pale-faced Lee Jinhyuk. "These people tried to film when I was taking a dump!"
"What?!" Never mind Chairman Mao and Lee Jinhyuk; even the audience around them is stupefied upon hearing Shen Yuan’s words.
Chairman Mao thought that he was hearing things, so to verify whether he had misheard or not, he inquiringly looked at Bai Tingfeng. However... he saw no face.
Bai Tingfeng already face-pald himself.
Even the smitten husband can’t take Shen Yuan’s shalessness!
"What? Are people not allowed to take a shit inside dungeons?" The shaless fox doesn’t care about saving face. His dagger-like eyes cut through the disbelief of the crowd. He gripped the stuffed toy in his hand tighter as though he was terribly wronged.
"People need to excrete wastes as much as they need to ingest food. You can’t stop that!"
Lee Jinhyuk, who is initially afraid that his cover got blown, collected himself upon sensing that he is still in the clear. He asked Shen Yuan in a polite, careful tone. "Master Shen, I know how wronged you must have felt, but I know my staff. They wouldn’t dare—"
"—So, you think I am imagining things now? I was squatting in a far, hidden corner when a light hit my face. I thought it was just stray sunlight slipping through the foliage, but when I looked at the source, I saw your staff holding a cara lens! Tell I am just overthinking things, and your staff is not setting up his cara to film my flawless ass." Shen Yuan’s fierce and unfiltered statent choked back the reasoning that Lee Jinhyuk was about to say.
How could he explain that those cara lenses are for his safe exit points? His awakened power, which allows him to travel to places, requires a reflective surface to act as a conduit.
He intended to spread out several cara lenses to create a complex maze so that, in case his cover was blown, he would have a ans to run away from these powerful S-class awakeners.
"If they are not in a secluded spot in the forest to film , then tell , did they bring a cara with them?" Shen Yuan pressed. His fiery temper did not lessen even after the long silence from Lee Jinhyuk.
Lee Jinhyuk gulped to moisten his increasingly dry throat.
He can’t disclose this. The awakened power listed in his na back in Country S was a re power-up ability, which was obviously just a cover. His mirror warp ability was only known by mbers of the Cardinals.
Besides, his ability was very distinct. People who have seen it will surely know his ability.
Exposing his powers now will be like marching to Shen Yuan, saying. "Rember the assassin whose arm you dismbered? That is !"
Lee Jinhyuk can’t afford that! Especially now that he is cornered in a dungeon full of S-class awakeners!
"I am sorry, Master Shen." Lee Jinhyuk had to grit his teeth and bow his head deeply.

Hearing this, Chairman Mao’s cunning eyes shone. He activated his Azure Eyes and saw sothing shining inside the bag.
Ha! So this is what Shen Yuan is after! This cunning fox!
Other people’s reactions were reasonable. They thought that in order to confirm the guilt, it was natural to do an investigation. Besides, so of these people who knew about the operation feel that this is the start of revealing the perpetrator, so they only watched on the side.
"No!" Lee Jinhyuk vehently yelled. He scrambled forward to run towards the rucksack, but another pair of foxfire beasts jumped out and pinned him down.
"Why are you so against checking your staff’s things? We are doing this to confirm their guilt. If their things proved that they are not there to secretly film , then shouldn’t it be a relief for you?"
Lee Jinhyuk, whose ntality has long been unstable due to fatigue, anxiety and Shen Yuan’s ruthless mind gas, found himself unable to think reasonably and instead spat condescendingly.
"You brought it with you, Shen Yuan! Who knows if you planted sothing that will falsely incriminate !" Lee Jinhyuk scread like a madman.
The mont that Chairman Mao and Shen Yuan were waiting for finally ca. Lee Jinhyuk beautifully cracked under intense pressure.
Shen Yuan mockingly snickered. "Ah, you are no longer addressing as Master Shen. That kinda ouch."
"You know, I believed that your subordinates were moving independently when they followed through the forest, but now, I think you are suspicious. I think you ordered them to go deep into the forest. Why?" Shen Yuan’s originally angry eyes chilled, revealing a cold, sly glare. "Did you send them to peep on — or did you send them to do sothing different, sothing very, very bad?"
Lee Jinhyuk went stiff under the pin hold of the foxfire beast. Fuck it! He is done guessing whether his cover was already over or not. He and his people should get the hell out of here.
"Run!" He scread at the top of his lungs.
In an instant, Lee Jinhyuk’s production team acted like wild animals, revealing their weapons and running frantically into the forest.
Lee Jinhyuk also put his all to shake off the foxfire beasts, and when he freed his one hand, he imdiately took out a Mage Killer Dagger from his chest pocket.
His eyes searched for the rucksack when, suddenly, it flew away from his reach and then landed exactly on Xia Jinhai’s hand.
His entire body shook in panic. No! They shouldn’t see what’s inside!
However, Xia Jinhai brashly turned the bag upside down and took out all its contents.
"This is..." Xia Jinhai’s pupils contracted upon recognising the peculiar devices. "A small-sized mana diffusion device."
"The Cardinals..." Murmurs are heard among the crowd.
With all his secrets out, Lee Jinhyuk abandoned his desire to fight back and decided to go for a run.
He sprinted away, catching the watching audience off guard.
"Shit! After him!"
"Fuck all your mind gas, Shen Yuan! Yes, I am part of the Cardinals! However, if you think that I will just lie down, waiting for you to capture . You are mistaken! I will never let you capture — even if that kills !" Lee Jinhyuk scread at the top of his lungs.
Thanks to his excellent physical abilities as an alpha, he managed to outrun his pursuers. However, he almost cursed when he saw a group of agents erging from the shadows of the forest.
"Oh, that?" Shen Yuan’s mocking voice sounded from above. "We know you’re good at running. That’s why we thoroughly prepare for you. Aren’t you touched?"
