The Hunter Association is a big organization that has excellent internal cohesion between its departnts. That is to say, only highly confidential information could be successfully kept a secret within its walls.

The war between the Cardinal’s assassin and Shen Yuan isn’t exactly a state secret, plus the fact that Chairman Mao spoke highly about it during the press conference. It didn’t take long before the minor details of the incident beca well-known among the Hunter Association’s agents.

"The fact that you lead a force to fight against 100 assassins without any casualties is a big deal among agents. You should know that the mortality of the agents is not inferior to the hunters who enter the dungeon. In fact, with the cruelty and craftiness of people, an agent’s mission could be more dangerous. How many of them died in the process of capturing awakened killers҃— let alone trained assassins? There are too many to ntion," Chairman Mao’s clear voice echoed inside his office.

The family of three is listening to his words very leisurely. They are seated on a couch with the little boy sitting on Bai Tingfeng’s lap, swinging his short legs.

"That’s why the news that you have the ability to keep the deaths zero despite the attack of 100 assassins is like fragrant cake to our agents. Currently, our human resource departnt is receiving a lot of inquiries if you have a vacant position in your squad, Shen Yuan! Everyone wants to work for you! You’re slowly building up your prestige, you cheeky young oga!"

Chairman Mao’s energetic praises didn’t fluster Shen Yuan one bit. If there’s soone who is swayed by all the flowery words, it is Bai Tingfeng and Yanyan.

"Wow! Daddy did a good job!" The little boy clapped.

"Well, if this is the case, then its not regrettable that our vacation was interrupted," Bai Tingfeng added.

When praised by his husband and son, Shen Yuan couldn’t help but internally wag his tail. However, he did his best to be modest to set a good example for his son.

"The survivability of those people lies in their skills. The Bai family trained them properly, and Li An showed high combat ability. Also, Qin Mian is not bad himself," Shen Yuan glared at Chairman Mao. "As expected from a person endorsed by the chairman."

Chairman Mao shakes off the last sentence as if it’s just a buzzing fly. Instead, he smiled at Shen Yuan, brighter than the sun on the horizon. "Very demure! Very mindful! I’m happy you are no longer an arrogant prick!"

"Excuse ?"

Who is the arrogant prick?!

"Just kidding!" Chairman Mao thickened his skin as he flashed a "peace" sign.

"Grandpa Mao! You’re teasing my Daddy again! Don’t bully my Daddy, hmp!"

"Oh, my bad. I’m sorry, Yanyan."

In a quick look, one would think that Chairman Mao is just goofing around. However, if soone studies the brightness in his eyes, they will discover awe and satisfaction when looking at Shen Yuan.

How could he not when this oga is basically the lucky charm of the Hunter Association? Others may feel dissatisfied with Shen Yuan since he failed to capture the pink-haired cardinal described in his report but not him.

The battle in the Rong Shan Villa was proven to be vital since not only did they weed out a huge number of terrorists, but they also learned a lot of things about their enemy.

Chairman Mao tried to press down the sly smile that was about to bloom on his face. It’s pretty satisfying to see that this young oga is still oblivious to the outstanding contribution he made in that single night.

"Anyway, you ca at the right ti since I am about to summon you for so good news," Chairman Mao switched to his business mode.

"Chairman Mao, wait a minute! We will go out for a mont," Bai Tingfeng politely interrupted the chairman before he started talking about official matters. He was about to stand up with Yanyan when Chairman Mao stopped them.

"If you’re excusing yourselves to give us privacy, then, no need. This isn’t exactly a confidential matter, and it’s not a grueso topic for a child, so you guys are free to listen. Besides, I really missed this cute baby here."

Chairman Mao called Yanyan with a wave of his hand. "Co here, Yanyan. Sit with Grandpa Mao."

Yanyan tactfully looked at his parents, asking for permission.

Well, since Chairman Mao said they can stay, then yes, they will stay.

However, Shen Yuan shot a aningful glare at Chairman Mao as if saying, "You’re not letting my husband stay because you needed his help on sothing, right?"

Chairman Mao responded with a smile that almost erased the slit of his eyes, "Well, see about that."

Upon realizing that he couldn’t really do anything about Chairman Mao, Shen Yuan gave his go-signal.

Yanyan hopped towards the friendly old man and smiled charmingly at his parents.

Shen Yuan asked in a better mood, "So, what kind of good news are we talking about?"

Ever since the bombing happened, they’ve been going off about the negative effects it brought to them. It can’t be helped since they’ve been caught off, and it’s been a while since Country C’s dungeon-hunting industry bled so much like this.

However, if one were to look at the bright side, they reaped many benefits.

One example of this is the discovery of mana bombs. The existence of a weapon that could decimate a land in the blink of an eye is terrible news. Not to ntion, it’s in the hands of their cold-hearted enemies.

But thanks to the retrieval of the small parts of the bomb, it is possible for them to study how it works and ultimately co up with a way to diffuse it in the future.

"Our psychotrists joined their forces to make a model of the mana bomb. Our goal within this week is to move on to the virtual test. We are confident that it will not take long before our knowledge about the mana bomb will be sufficient, and hopefully, the incident in the Tong Shen Area will never happen again."

Shen Yuan nodded his head. "So, the things you said in the press conference last night were not bull—" he imdiately cut his word before he completed the "non-child-friendly" word.

"— an obnoxious bragging, I an."

Chairman Mao cocked his brows and patted Yanyan’s head with a slight smirk. So, even though Shen Yuan is a true rascal, he’s still mindful of his words around his son, huh?

"All of it is true— even the doormat part."

Shen Yuan gritted his teeth while putting on a sweet smile.

"You know that is not necessary."

Chairman Mao quickly countered. "Of course, it is necessary! We need to emphasize the hero who saved the Tong Shen Area, avenged the grievances of the attacked hunters of the country, and offered his life just to bring back the materials needed to study the terrorist’s weapons!"

The celestial fox spirit’s hands were shaking. Did he really achieve an amazing feat?

All this ti, he’s imrsed in kicking the asses of the Cardinals, caring for his cute son, Yanyan, and grinding his hips against Bai Tingfeng. He didn’t have the ti to think about the consequences of his actions.

It turns out he achieved quite a lot?

A sense of pride is slowly rising from his chest. Hearing that he did a fantastic job made him feel pleased about himself. He secretly wagged his tails. Little did he know, his cheeks gained color.

"Wow! Daddy is now a hero!" Yanyan exclaid giddily. "Will Daddy have a lot of fans from now on?"

"Your Daddy already had a number of fans from the get-go. Most of them are simple face-loving fans from his modeling era and oga supporters due to him being the first oga awakener, but now, there are betas, and alpha singing praises for him because of his competency! His reputation as a powerful awakener is now solid!"

Chairman Mao hyped once again.

On the side, Bai Tingfeng looked at his husband with a small smile. This was the first ti he saw the high and mighty celestial fox spirit blushing because of complints.

’He must be having a mont,’ he thought, his chest swelling with pride for his husband.

Everything was going great until Chairman Mao added, "When we both agreed that you would pull the aggression of the Cardinals. I didn’t expect you to drive them to the point that they would pull out multiple secret weapons! Oh my, I think you have a talent for annoying your enemies!"

The pleasant feeling imdiately fizzled out.

"This old— Chairman Mao!" Shen Yuan’s high-pitched voice echoed.

"What? I’m complinting you. Besides, you did great spending your vacation. Because of you, we got closer to the Cardinals. And I might as well add the samples you gave to Xia Jinhai. Once we gave them a proper ID, we could track the ones who escaped. Who knows? Maybe they will lead us to the inner circle of the Cardinals!"

"Don’t hesitate to ask for a vacation leave next ti! I will make all the necessary preparations!"

Undoubtedly, the chairman knows how to throw complints while offending people simultaneously.

That’s quite a skill.
