Shen Yuan stared at writhing Haichong as the police struggled to put him in full arm restraints. The fire was already distinguished for the police officer's peace of mind, but despite that, the reaction and effect of the Heavenly Foxfire remains as seen from the delirious villain. He successfully inflicted a trauma. Great. However, there is still an unsettled feeling for Shen Yuan.
Dissatisfaction. That is the perfect word to describe his pouting lips and razor-sharp glares reserved for the damned terrorist.
"I should have accidentally plunged a scalpel on that bastard," he said, full of regrets. Shen Yuan could roll his eyes, and coincidentally, he noticed the hovering drones around them.
"What is that? Don't tell they are from these maggots?" Shen Yuan asked Bai Tingfeng, who had just co back after a few exchanges of words with soone who introduced himself as the police chief.
"The Press and all sorts of dia, I guess," the handso alpha male responded.
The celestial fox spirit paused montarily and thoughtfully said, "Wait, did you stop from tornting Haichong because you expected that there must be other people filming the whole thing?"
If there is sothing that Shen Yuan knows well about humans, it is their wretched moral compass.
They could point their hands to whoever appeals to their sentints— whether it is the perpetrators or the victims.
"If I am seen doing that, then it won't be that hard to paint as the villain, which will spring all sorts of trouble."
"You are overthinking things. Yanyan must be waiting for us," Bai Tingfeng only left those words and sped up his way toward Bai Shengyan.
Shen Yuan clicked his tongue as he watched the broad back of Bai Tingfeng, "Is he so excited to et his son that it made him blush in his ears?"
"Hey, you can't recklessly approach Yanyan!" the oga has no choice but to follow the man quickly. While on the way, he saw a lot of injured people tending to their wounds. It was pretty minor, as all he could see were police officers and n being bandaged by the present dics.
It didn't take long until he saw Bai Tingfeng standing before the protective yellow do. The S-Class alpha must have sensed that it wasn't safe to go further. Thank heavens he has such powerful senses, or else this world will lose a male lead.
Shen Yuan noticed that the alpha was not alone at all. He is talking with a handso older man with ashen gray hair tied into an impeccable man bun. The people around them are looking at the alpha with— reverence?
"Is he so kind of a big wig or sothing?" he asked himself. A few dia people were snapping so shots in their direction, so that must be the case.
"—The conference your parents attended? I am way too senior to bother attending that. Besides, I already have the intel that they are about to discuss. It simply wastes ti. And if I did go there, then I would have missed eting the two budding S-Class awakeners. It was a loss that my old back can't bear—" Shen Yuan overheard the man speaking. It was intentional, seriously. He intends to head towards the little boy because Bai Tingfeng keeps looking at their son and making discreet hand signals.
Talk about being a doting father. Well, no one can bla him. It is also evident that Yanyan wants to run to their arms. But since he was instructed to stay where he was, the silly little boy didn't budge an inch from where he stood!
"Seriously, am I stuck with a pair of goody two shoes?" Shen Yuan frustratedly ssed up his hair in his mind.
These two boys needed an imdiate reformation!
Shen Yuan snapped his finger, and the protective spell he cast deactivated.
"Yanyan, co here! We already sent the bad guys away!"
"Daddy! Papa!" Bai Shengyan did not waste any second and imdiately threw himself into Shen Yuan's arms.
The little boy broke into tears and clung to his Daddy's neck like his life depended on it.
Bai Tingfeng decisively left whoever important person he was talking to and charged toward his son and husband on paper.
Shen Yuan almost suffocated when he felt Bai Tingfeng envelop them with his long, muscled arms. "Hey, jerk, what do you think you're doi—"
He tried to push away the big alpha man, but the words spoken by Bai Tingfeng made him stop and bite his lips.
"We are sorry if we made you wait. It was Papa's fault," Bai Tingfeng's voice was heavily laced with guilt, proving that he knew his shortcomings.
Shen Yuan doesn't know why, but he wants to punch the shit out of Bai Tingfeng. He absolutely can't mingle with an extrely virtuous pushover like this one. The child in his arms was the only reason that stopped his fist from kissing Bai Tingfeng's cheek.
Yanyan raised his head and tried to hug his father, Bai Tingfeng, with his left arm, "Waaah, Papa! I was scared that those bad guys would beat the two of you, and Yanyan will- Waah."
Bai Shengyan's cries were loud and ear-splitting, but that didn't bother the celestial fox spirits. If there is anything that worries Shen Yuan, it is the alarming lack of space between him and Bai Tingfeng.
"This is too close! Bloody hell!" Shen Yuan turned his other cheek because if he faced ahead, there would be less than an inch between his face and Bai Tingfeng's.
"We are not that weak, baby. Your Papa and I beat those bad guys for you..."
Shen Yuan tried to soothe the emotions of his new little son. At this mont, he doesn't care if caras hover around them or eyes watch their every move. What matters is to give this distressed little child the warmth and security that Yanyan deserves. He is a parent anyway.
Little did he know that this was the first ti after four long years that the family of three had reunited. This very scene will be imprinted in Yanyan's young mind, and it is the happiest day in his childhood days.
It took a while to make Yanyan stop crying. Shen Yuan busied himself with wiping the little kid's snot, sweat, and tears while it was Bai Tingfeng's turn to carry the five-year-old child.
"I am happy that our Yanyan is safe," a familiar baritone voice suddenly spoke. Surprisingly, the handso older man Bai Tingfeng was talking to earlier didn't leave at all.
"Grandpa Mao!" Yanyan called the older man and made a little hand wave as a greeting.
"Yanyan! I missed you! It's been long since you hung out with this poor old man. say, do you want to play with after this?"
Grandpa Mao dotingly rubbed the Yanyan's head. "I really love your hair color, my boy!"
Obviously, Shen Yuan's son and Bai Tingfeng is extrely intimate with this Granpa Mao.
"Grandpa Mao?" Shen Yuan furrowed his eyebrows, wondering if soone in the manhua had that surna. It didn't take long for him to rember the face of one of the mysterious characters in "Their S-Class Affairs."
"It seems like Yuan can't rember at all. This old man's feelings are hurt, you know. Well, whatever. I am Mao Huanlong," the old man with ashen gray hair said smilingly. The aura this man emitted is comforting but doesn't impede Shen Yuan's top-notch sensitivity to mana. This Granpa Mao is crazy strong, as described in the manhua.
"The current Chairman of the Hunter Association," Mao Huanlong, did not hesitate to pull the hand of Shen Yuan for a shake hands. "I am here to make sure that all our extrely powerful criminals for today will be safely escorted back to the facility for questioning."
Shen Yuan was caught off-guard when the old man made him face the clicking caras. The flashes montarily blinded him, and the next thing he knew, there was a cold piece of tal encircling both his wrists, "Eh?"
"Let's go for a short trip to prison, shall we?" Mao Huanlong said loud and clear.
